Being Canadian we celebrated our Thanksgiving back in October. I think we should take the time to do these things any time of year.

A Day Of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful, but we're often too busy that
Day to pause and reflect. Thought I would share with you a few easy
Ways you can share this time of year with others.

Talk about your traditions and where they started. Share how these
Traditions became a part of your life. Ask others about their
Thanksgiving traditions and incorporate them into your Thanksgiving.

Be sure to share your blessings by giving to others who are in need.
Check with your church, neighbors and community outreach programs.
This is a great time of year to be an "Angel" for someone who is going
Through a rough time in their lives.

Reminisce. While preparing and cooking food on Thanksgiving, talk with
One another about where the recipes you're using originally came from.
Share your stories with each other from Thanksgiving past.

Give thanks for your blessings. Make place cards for the dinner table,
And before you eat, ask each person to write what they're thankful for
On the back of their card. Then have everyone read what they wrote.

Include a New Face. Invite someone who doesn't have family (living or
Nearby) to join your family celebration. You'll make the day special
For someone else, and you may even enjoy learning about that person's
Traditions.

Make this Holiday season special for others. Looking back, you'll be
Surprised to see how they made it special for you.

Marcella
"People will forget what you said,
People will forget what you did,
But people will never forget how you made them feel"
