Thursday January 04, 2007 Today's readings: Genesis 8:1-10:32 Matthew 4:12-25 Psalm 4:1-8 Proverbs 1:20-23
--------------------------------------- Today's verse:
'Jesus called out to them, "Come, be my disciples, and I will show you how to fish for people!" And they left their nets at once and left with him.' Matthew 4:19-20 --------------------------------------- It says in the reading today that people from all over started to come to Jesus “and whatever their illness and pain, or if they were possessed by demons, or were epileptics, or were paralyzed ?he healed them all.? (Matt. 4:24). He was absolutely no respecter of persons ?he heralded them all. Now compare that with a great quote from A.W. Tozer and I know that Jesus can miracualize my life today (new word!). “Anything that God has ever done, he can do now. Anything that God has done anywhere else, he can do here. Anything that God has done for anyone else, he can do for you.?nbsp; Let those premises be a part of any argument you are in. Know that all the works of God, through all time, for any person, are a walk of faith away and at any sovereign time he wants to ?can be visited on your head. Live with those assumptions and you will really live.
