Let's Live A Life Of Praise Unto the Lord
Psa 117:1-2 O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
Quote
1 Pet 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Prov 3:5-8 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
My Comments
Are we truly trusting in the Lord with all our heart? Do we try to figure everything out by using the wisdom of this world? When things happen that we don't like, do we lean on our own understanding or do we trust in the Lord who tells us all things work together for our good? In everything, do we acknowledge that we need the Lord to direct what we do and say or do we first try to handle it our way? What wisdom are we using? Is it the wisdom of the Lord or the wisdom of this world? Do we think we know how to handle certain things and fail to call on the Lord till we get it all messed up, then ask Him to make it right? The Lord's wisdom is to first depart from evil. Beloved, nothing else is going to work out right till we do! How can we put into words the benefits of becoming doers of all the Lord says? Here He says it will be health to our navel and marrow to our bones! Beloved, that alone is well worth while to us. The navel is where all babies get their nourishment that gives them life. We are all babies in Christ. We all need marrow in our bones or they have no ability to do what they were created for. Those who desire these benefits in their life depart from evil and learn to trust the Lord in everything. They show their trust by doing what He says. Meditate on it!
Prayer Father God, Thank You for telling us how to have health. Your Word is the Spiritual food we must have. As we read and pray over Your Word may the very Spirit of it come alive in us. Grant that we know more than the letter of Your Word but may the Truth motivate all we do and say. We ask, believe we receive, and give thanks in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
