There are some things everyone should have an opportunity to share... and one of these is what I am eating right now. Whoa... delicious. A piece of apple cake with butterscotch syrup and whipped cream. Totally over the top delicious! Oh.. its all gone.... How did that disappear so fast? I wonder if I can sneak back for another piece? A dear community friend sent this over today for desert. Truly it does pay to have friends. I suppose I should have taken a picture.. but it was like just gone so fast how could I stop eating it to do that?

For the last ten days we have had a wonderful time of sharing with our dear community friend, Father Maurus Kelly, OFM from Santa Barbara, Ca. He's been a community friend for over 40 years.. and every year we love and appreciate him even more! This is one very great blessing of being a Franciscan - the family spirit.

Well, it's time once again to get our next community newsletter out. This is the one that goes by mail. I always like to ask if anyone would want to receive it on the JoyNotes list. It is free. It's not a plea for money.. just a sharing of life in our community and a way of keeping in touch.

It really is a nice newsletter though if I do say so myself.. and the Winter edition includes a calendar and the Apostleship of Prayerleaflet with the monthly intentions for the year.
