Let's Live A Life Of Praise Unto the Lord
Psa 118:21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
Quote
Heb 13:5-6 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Prov 3:31-35 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous. The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just. Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
My Comments
We live in a very materialist world. It seems that everything centers around making a living, having more and more things. Sad, but this has entered the church as well! In many churches a prosperity gospel is being preached. While preaching this the weightier matters of the gospel takes a back seat! True repentance and living a holy, godly life, in Christ is ignored! Money has become the desired results instead of holiness! Hear the Word of God - Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Beloved, those who are not living in true holiness in Christ will not be approved of God! Hear the Word of God - 1 Tim 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Those who get their priorities mixed up get into error. God will supply all our needs, if we will put Him first in our life by living as He says. The enemy of our souls will point us to some who are not living right and show us how they are prospering in material things. Then he says, "if you will lighten up you will prosper as well!" He even tempted Jesus this way! The forward (Those who ignore the word of God) are an abomination to the Lord. His hands is with those who live godly in Christ Jesus. The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked! Those who make gain while living contrary to the Word of God are cursed! Do we desire to inherit glory or shame? The choice is ours. Let's live according to the word of God. Meditate on it!
Prayer
Father God, Thank You for telling us how to prosper in the things that really matter. Forgive us when we look, with envy, at those who are prospering and not living according to Your Word. Lead us, continually, in the path of righteousness for Your name sake. We ask, believe we receive, and give thanks in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
