Eagle Magik

The great Spirit rises before the sun in the sky
Awakening the birds who soon realize why
They forage for food to feed their new born
The Eagle flies high because he has sworn

To free the weak of their long lasting pain
He swoops down to catch them through the sleet and the rain
Innocently taking them with talons so tight
To his mountain nest where no more they will fight

Blink and you will miss this everlasting plan
Designed by the Creator before there was man
The natural way of the Goddess above
All is transformed through this innocent love

A soul was once searching from beginning to end
He was travelling easily on the light that we bend
He learned of the eagle and of the great plan
Became a great Shaman and healed pains of man

He wore the feathers of the ones that were great
He'd washed them and blessed them down by the lake
Of life that we're all in at a time we can't see
He walked past some slowly till he finally saw me

Then talons grew from his hands stretched afar
He looked upon my soul and said "Do you know where you are?"
I stuttered and blinked and I was aloft on a cloud
Like lightning transformed me for crying out loud

I now too had wings and could soar through the mist
Knowing the way of everything if you catch my gist
We've fed each other since this world began
Eagle Magik is following your best "I Can"

Think quick, little possum, for it's now my turn
To eat of your essence and your turn to learn
Of the way on the red path on which we all walk
When you see me don't stutter or even try to talk

Life is transformed in but one single wink
In a manner of speaking you may not even drink
For we will experience the all that there is
When we see the Eagle taking that which is his
