Decisions. You face them every day. It's the big ones that are tough. First and foremost. when facing a big decision, you have to know what is important to you. It may sound selfish, but it's not. It is essential to making the best possible choices. Avoid making decisions because someone else is pressuring you. You may start out with the best intentions but you won't be motivated to carry it out, and may often live with regret. Next time you're faced with a big decision, take the time to examining your own thoughts and beliefs. Your feelings, ideas and experiences are what you must think about before making a big commitment. Self awareness is the key to how the best decisions are made. An adventure is going into the unknown. If you know exactly where you are going, exactly how you will get there, and exactly what you will see along the way, it is not an adventure... Because they involve the unknown, adventures are inherently dangerous to a greater or lesser degree. Yet it is also only from adventures and their newness that we learn. If we know exactly where we're going, exactly how to get there, and exactly what we'll see along the way, we won't learn anything.
M. Scott Peck
Today is now here. And with it has come the opportunity for you to move in the direction you choose. If you have been knocked off your feet, today is the day to get back up and get going again. If you have made choices that led to disappointing results, today is the day you can change your direction. If you have been holding a treasured dream in your heart, you can begin today to make that dream happen. If something has been holding you back, today is your chance to start moving beyond it. All that you've done and all that you are, has now arrived at today. In this day there are opportunities that have been building for a lifetime. You've learned what works and what does not, experienced pain, joy, sadness and fulfillment. Today you know, better than ever before, just which way to go. So breathe deeply, feel the fresh air of real meaning and true purpose as it fills your spirit. And make today the best day yet. Ralph Marston |
