this Mother's Day poem is un-like any I have ever written.
It's a very special message for those who've lost their mothers and need a special word
of encouragement for the holiday. If it doesn't apply to you, please pass it on to others.

Honor Her Life Every Day Of The Year
Mother's Day is special for the expressions of gratitude
and honor you can give to your mother.
For on the scale of influence and impact in your life
your mom rates much higher than others.
But the holiday is bittersweet and tinted with sadness
when you've lost your mother & she's not around.
While other people choose flowers and cards of endearment
your tears softly slip to the ground.
For you know that your mother was simply like no other
for she was one-in-a-million to you.
And you know she made sacrifices...putting her needs aside
for the tasks that she needed to do.
When you close your eyes, you still picture her face
and all the phrases you can still hear her say.
You remember her faith and how she shared it with you
when she clung to the Word and she prayed.
You look at the person you have turned out to be
and you're grateful that your mother was true.
For all the lessons she taught and the love she instilled
are now woven into all that you do.
Though you can't buy her flowers on Mother's Day
...the memories linger of when she was here.
And you honor her life...by giving the blessings to others
that she gave you every day of the year.
