God never promised it would be easy. Not Exactly: For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.) The Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified. Not Exactly: For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. In Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. Not Exactly: For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. Not Exactly: Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. Not Exactly: The Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. Not Exactly: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Not Exactly: For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son. Leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. Not Exactly: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. Not Exactly: For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church. He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Not Exactly: The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. Not Exactly: Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. Whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. However, if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Exactly: Whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? No man can serve two masters.

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
