A Message of Hope It was Aug 15, 1977 That I had an Exploratory operation done on my abdomen and I can recall the Doctor saying close him up it is all gray matter. I found out that I had Lymphoma Cancer and it was growing through my lower intestines and was in operable and I was given 6 weeks to get my things in order So I started my long walk knowing I had this thing inside the size of a nerf football and was anxious to start my chemo to begin the Fight I call this the most important 3 F,s in my life never to Fear it to always Fight it and to keep the Faith ill not to go into many details over the years it has spread to my liver and lymph nodes in my groin those were removed then about 11 years ago my lungs filled and they took me in and drained them the fluids were full of lymphoma cells so I regained my strength went to church and asked my Pastor to perform James 5:13-16 on me they did during the service ive had this done 2 times My prayer was to Jesus let me continue to sing in my Choir to His Glory and for the strength to do that and if that was His will to give me a sign. About a month later they took exrays of my lungs and the technician said we need to take them again you have a spot the size of a quarter in the shape of a C and we figured it was a button on your shirt or something but we want to be sure. I told them that I had no shirt on but they took them and found them to be clean I do have c o p d but that is from smoking for so many years and I no longer sing in my Choir but I do sing in my church with my friends at Praise and Worship and during the service. This past year I had the lynch nodes in my neck removed I was no longer able to have chemo as so many years of it left me with nuropthy numbness in the extremities of your body so I have no feeling in my legs or hands that was from too much cytoxin so if your fingers start to tingle let them know as to reduce the cytoxen in your chemo. I had the chemo after the operation was to have 4 rounds they wanted me to have radiation instead but that would have taken my voice and ive more songs to sing Ive had it also in my prostate and instead of having it removed i opted to have the radio active seed implant in my groin 125 of them but is it returns i still have an option to have it removed. my psa was 13 it has been 0.1 since i had this done 6 years ago. I finished the third round of chemo for the neck and got sick with pneumonia and was taken to the hospital with a BP of 35/26 it took them 3 1/2 hrs and they asked me if I wanted the paddles if my heart gave out I told them no to let me go home. well i went to ICU for 3 days and came home and back to church and Bible study at Jack and Lois,s home I can say that ive had pain by I set my mind on the pain that Jesus suffered on the cross for me and I no longer had or knew pain. And Ive still a song to sing For Him Praise the Lord You cannot have fear You have to fight it and through our Faith we do not walk this walk alone for the Bible tells us to walk this walk we must all suffer pain. God Bless You Love and Prayers David

I Am the light The Message For The Day read John 1:1-14 Leave The Light On. ~~~~~~~~ John came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. John 1:7 ~~~~~~~~ A motel chain once had a series of radio commercials that ended with the reassuring words,"We'll leave the light on for you." My Mother used to say the same thing to me. Sometimes I worked the late shift at the factory, or I would come home late from college. No matter what the reason or the time, the porch light was always burning. It's warm beams seemed to say, "This is where you belong. Someone loves you here. You are home." Jesus said that we who know Him as Savior and Lord are lights in this sin-darkened world Matthew 5:14-16. We are reflections of Chris, who is "The true Light" John 1:9. As John the Baptist was a "witness of the Light" and pointed people to Jesus [v:7],so can we. Our faithful walk of obedience to Him is a beacon of God's love and truth. Our lives and words are beams of warm light pearcing the cold darkness of this world. We are like a porch light late at night, drawing unbelievers to Jesus, assuring them that Someone loves them and waits to welcome them home. Perhaps a family member is still in the darkness. Maybe you're concerned about them or a friend. Don't stop praying for them. Keep finding ways to draw their attention to the Lord. Be Sure To Leave The Light On. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now the God of peace be with you all. Love and Prayers Always David Walking Hand In Hand With Jesus Won't You Join Me! ~~~~~~~~
