So many times women say they know God loves them. But, do we truly believe it? Do I truly believe it?
As I have dealt with depression and deep, disturbing mood swings, most of my life, I know, first hand, the struggle to hold on to the truth that "God loves me."
The enemy's words too often get through, at these times, taunting me with a barrage of words, "You will never be enough." I have to do more. Be more. IT IS A LIE! Why am I so ready to believe the lie?
Woman was not an afterthought with God. She was His final creation. Our 'beauty' lies in the mere truth that we are made in the image of our Creator. He gave us His ultimate beauty.
As women, we all battle our own demons. Is it God or society telling us what is acceptable as beauty. What is valuable. Who is the ideal woman. How many of the Enemy's lies have you believed today?
I share my own story with you, because I know it is an all to common one. Together, we can uplift each other. Our hearts are soft and full of grace toward others ... but when it comes to loving ourselves, as God loves us, we simply do not know how to do that.
Isn't it time to show some kindness to the woman you are? I pray that your life and mine, will begin to show the beauty God placed within each of us.
If we take time to look at ourselves as the 'fallen' Eve, we have to admit that we spend most of our time hiding who we really are, as did Eve in the Garden. She did not want God to see her. We don't want God to see us ... and we don't want the world to see us as we really are.
It doing that we keep ourselves from sharing who God made us to be. This is what each of us needs from the other ... the true woman, radiating the beauty God placed in our souls.
We need to reach out for more of God. He offers a love we yearn for ... one that cannot be found from any other source. As we spend more time with Him, getting to know him more and more ... the more we will truly feel His love for us.
Ask Him for the love you need. Cry out to Him. He will answer. Keep asking Him. The Good News is in the Gospels. This relationship, freely offered by our Lord, is there this minute. Don't listen to the enemy. Listen to the one who loves you, just as you are today. This minute. Every minute to come.
Our Lord encourages us to look to Him. (Hebrews 13:5, 8; 1 Peter 5:7) Here are our assurances. Claim them. Cling to His promises and be the beautiful woman you are.
Still on the Potter's wheel,
Misty
