Shalom Dear Brothers and Sisters The Mount of Transfiguration Mark chapter 9:2-9 tells us the amazing unfolding story of what we call the Transfiguration. This is another one of those Scriptures that we read so many times and miss a little clue here there. As we spent time in our booth we discovered many Scriptures associated with the feast! I think this must have been one of them. It was the sixth day the day before the Sabbath Yeshua took Peter John and James with Him and they went way up the mountain. They would have had to gone quite high considering what was going to transpire. Once they get up there all of a sudden Yeshua is transformed before them! His garments became radiant and exceedingly white, as no launderer on earth could make them. As I read that statement I realized that because we have chosen to follow after the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and Messiah Yeshua and because of His ultimate sacrifice He has given us that same beautiful radiant exceedingly white robe and sees us that way because he looks at us through the blood. For this is the same chapter further on down where Yeshua is explaining to His disciples that He must suffer and die. This was the last year He would be with them within six months he would become pure spotless lamb that would bring redemption and salvation not just to the house of Israel but to all those who choose to join her! He was opening the doors to all the nations John 3:16. Why do I say this would be the last year He would be walking with them. Not being a Bible scholar as I looked at this Scripture this time I realized this was during the feasts of Tabernacles. When Elijah and Moses showed up to encourage Yeshua Peter immediately, not knowing what to do but always ready to help or at least trying do something, offered to make a tabernacle for each one to dwell in! I love how the Father works, He knows full well Peter is going to open his mouth and blurt this out so He waits and then comes down and a thick cloud surrounds Yeshua, Moses and Elijah and they hear the voice of the Almighty saying to them "This Is My Beloved Son, Listen to Him". I don't know about you but I would have been flat on my face terrified! Yet the cloud lifts in Yeshua is left standing there warning them not to tell anyone what they have seen until after He has risen from the dead. At this they become confused again. Yeshua doesn't scold them He allows them to ask their questions and He answers them as they're walking back into the city to join the other disciples. So why is this Feast so important? Because every time we celebrated it year after year the Ruach will open our eyes and our spirits to new and wonderful truths if we allow Him to do so. We know the Commandments that Yeshua gave us and we need to follow them! Yahweh Himself spoke that over Yeshua that day on the mountain. The disciples have passed on that message in action and in words! If we truly want to be disciples of the Master Yeshua as well we also need to listen to the Father and do as He said, "Listen to Him". If we do He will teach us new and wonderful truths from His Word as we study and seek to keep those robes is pure and clean as we possibly can! Cleaner than any launderer on this Earth could ever make them! B'Shem Yeshua Hamashiach In His Love, Theresa |
