Corina's Love
Corina was thirteen years old and she loved God with all her heart. This evening as she watched her mother and father sit at the television drinking, she wondered if they really knew Jesus Christ. She had great parents and they would go to church every Sunday, but on Friday nights they would get drunk. Corina could not remember a Friday night when they were sober. But tonight was going to be different..tonight and answer was to be given. Corina prayed to the Lord God and then she went into the kitchen where the booze was. She took a glass and filled it with liquor and dranked it. She gagged and could not hardly breathe, but she withstood the burning with-in her as she got sick and did vomit all over herself. Then she poured some more whiskey and this time got a beer. she opened the beer and drank it. Then with the glass of whiskey in one hand and the beer in the other she stumbled into the living room where her mom and dad was drinking and watching television. She shouted out as she entered the room "this is my life now"!!!, then she turned up the glass of booze and dranked it and began to vomit as she tried to drink the beer. Her parents jump up and ran across the room to their daughter. They shouted! "WHAT ARE YOU DOING CORINA"? Corina with her last breath said, "l want to be like my mom and dad" and then she began to vomit more and she was having breathing problems. Her mom called the EMT'S and as they waited her dad held his loving daughter's head in his lap and began to cry and say "WHY LORD? WHY LORD?. Once the EMT'S got there they rushed her to the hospital. Later the doctor said to Corina's mom and dad..would you come into my office? Lori and Charles sat down as the doctor spoke to them. Your daughter told me why this happened and she said she did it for she loved you both so much. She wanted to show you what it was doing to her when you drank. She said this was the only way she knew to get thru to you both. The doctor spoke, your daughter almost died just to show you how much she loved you and how much it hurt her to see you to get drunk. Then Lori and Charles got up and went into the room where Corina was lying still in bed. As Lori and Charles stood by her bed her dad said we understand now and we will never ever hurt you again by drinking. Lori and Charles knelt on their knees beside of their daughter's bed and said Lord God we thank you for the love of our daughter and we remember the words "A little child shall lead them". Tonight by our daughter's love we have been given sight. Lord God tonight we have been made anew, in Jesus Christ we pray..A'men... Then they heard their daughter say, "Thank you Lord" ...A'men. They stood up and as they took their daughter's hand, Corina smiled and said....l love you mom and dad and closed her eyes.

Note: The holidays are just about here and so many people will not see Christmas day with their families because of drinking etc. So let's always keep them in prayer that they will do the right thing and not take chances.
