I visited one of my internet groups and read a message asking
Christians to sign an email to send to FCC protesting ban on Christian messages on TV and radio, since it sounded 'not right' and just a way to collect unsuspecting signers' emails I did copy it and contacted Focus on the Family since Dr. Dobson's name is used as reference. Focus on the Family message response is that this message is a hoax:
FROM FOCUS ON THE FAMILY: Preliminary Response to Question:
"Thank you for your recent note to Focus on the Family. We appreciate your contacting us to ask about the validity of an e-mail message you received pertaining to petition 2493 (occasionally combined with a reference to the removal of "Touched By an Angel" or CNBC). Given the fact that Dr. Dobson was referenced in the message you received, we’re
pleased that you have chosen to “come to the source�?with your
inquiry. Bottom line, the e-mail you received is a hoax. We think
you'll find the following information addresses this specific issue.
