At the Masters Feet
The study of Mary the sister of Lazarus and Martha is a wonderful study. Mary is mentioned three times in the gospels, and each time we read about her, we find her at the feet of Jesus. First, in Luke 10:39, "And she Martha) had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted ..." The second time is in John 11 when Mary was notified that Jesus had come to her brother’s tomb. We read in verse 32, " Then, when Mary came where Jesus was and saw Him, she fell down at His feet ..." And then the third time is in John 12:3, "Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair." Listen, Mary was a deeply spiritual woman. And she found out that the blessing of God is found at the feet of Jesus. Let me ask you - "Have you found that the blessings are found at the feet of Jesus? Do you spend time in daily devotion at the Masters feet? Do you spend time in prayer listening for the Masters call? God help us to learn the lesson of Mary, and sit at the Masters feet!
