Son you have taught me so much about myself

you taught me to be humble and ask others for help

you taught me that little things are what is so special about life

you taught me that things don't always go so perfectly right

you taught  that little steps can become such big dreams

you taught me that nothing is ever what it really seems

you taught me that even through the struggles that has been put upon you

that trusting the lord is the only thing that you can do

you are just a small child who can barely yet speak

and though your smile and laughter you have taught me to be meek

and i can see the bigger picture of what life is really about

because through you my beautiful son, you taught me the Lord to seek.
