Dearest Friends,

I know it has been a while since I have been in touch, and for this I apologize.  I have not been as faithful to sit down and write, and I know it is needful that I do, and that the Lord gave me this work to do.  Forgive me for getting distracted by the cares of this world.. and things going on in my family, and with me.

Today I want to ask my friends around the world to be praying for my family.

This is something I rarely do, but the needs are so great, I wanted to ask.

Many of you know I have a daughter Tammi who has severe asthma and is now suffering many side effects from it, and the medicines she must take.  Now she has severe tremors.  At night she props pillows up around her to stop the shaking so she can sleep. She has been heavy on my heart for quite a while, and I spend much time praying for her.  She has truly been suffering.  She has a sweet spirit, a great attitude, and you do not hear her whine or complain about her lot in life.

This week they found out her son has a kidney abnormality that they are usually born with.  His kidney is twice it's size, and he must have surgery very quickly.  He has been having many tests, and tomorrow is one of the last ones before the surgery, and it is a very painful test to have.  My grandson Dan is just a teen. As

you can imagine he is in a great deal of pain right now, and tires easily.  This is a lot to face. His kidney must be reconstructed and a extra artery removed.  They must also perform some other things. So this is major surgery.  It is also a extremely painful  and serious one to recover from.

As you can imagine my heart is quite burdened for them.  And it is on my mind a lot, even though I know God is with us.  It is hard to see young people face such things. Or anyone for that matter.

Pray that God touch Dan, and when he has this surgery it will be successful, that he will recover quickly and completely.  And pray for his mom and dad and brothers as they help him in this time.  It cannot be easy at all.

Pray the doctors hands will be guided and he will perform the surgery perfectly, that Dan will make it through surgery safely, and feel the comfort of God throughout these days ahead.

How precious it is if we pray for one another, and are committed to doing it daily.

How vital it is for Christians to do this!  If we don't pray who will?

We can absolutely make a difference in the lives of those around us by persistent, fervent, emotional prayer.  Crying out to God, not letting go until we feel the answer is on the way.  People need to get back to that kind of urgent, fervent praying, for each of us know many people with great needs.

It also brings great peace into our own lives.  Something all of us desperately need. A comforting peace in the middle of this troubled old world.

Let us pray:

Father God let us be a light, and a comfort to those around us.

Remind us to seek you first, and to pray with passion and a desire to see people's lives transformed, changed, healed, and delivered, and saved.  Father, thank you for your love for us, and your provision.  Please watch over us, help us grow in wisdom and knowledge daily of what you would have us do and how you would have us live.  Make us your instruments so that others may see Jesus in us, and long for a relationship with you.

And Father God, be with my grandson Dan.  Protect him, his life, and help him during these times.  Guide him, guard him , and provide for him in every area of

his life. Help him to come out of this surgery successfully and recover quickly

and completely with little pain, and strength he needs to get well.  Set your

angels around him, and minister to his spirit and body during this time.

Because we know you can do exceedingly abundantly above that which we ask or think according to the power that works in us.  And you are that power

that works in us daily for your benefit and ours.  And we thank you for this.

And that nothing is impossible with God.  We trust you, rely on you, cling to you, find comfort in you, and rest in you.  I know that you care more about Dan and

my family than I do, that your love and mercies are never ending. Please

hear the cry of my heart.  I believe the answer is on the way even as

I release this prayer to your loving hands.

In Jesus precious name

amen.

Love

millie

ps.. if you have extra prayers.. please remember me and my husband in prayer.

Seeking the Savior
by Max Lucado

Simeon said, “Can I stay alive until I see him??

The Magi said, “Saddle up the camels. We aren’t stopping until we find him.?/FONT>

The shepherds said, “Let’s go? Let’s see.?/FONT>

They wanted the Savior. They wanted to see Jesus.

They were earnest in their search. One translation renders Hebrews 11:6: “God ?rewards those who earnestly seek him?(NIV, italics mine).

Another reads: “God rewards those who search for him?(PHILLIPS, italics mine).

And another: “God ?rewards those who sincerely look for him?(TLB, italics mine).

I like the King James translation: “He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him?(italics mine).

Diligently—what a great word. Be diligent in your search. Be hungry in your quest, relentless in your pilgrimage. Let this book be but one of dozens you read about Jesus and this hour be but one of hundreds in which you seek him. Step away from the puny pursuits of possessions and positions, and seek your king.

Don’t be satisfied with angels. Don’t be content with stars in the sky. Seek him out as the shepherds did. Long for him as Simeon did. Worship him as the wise men did. Do as John and Andrew did: ask for his address. Do as Matthew: invite Jesus into your house. Imitate Zacchaeus. Risk whatever it takes to see Christ.

God rewards those who seek him. Not those who seek doctrine or religion or systems or creeds. Many settle for these lesser passions, but the reward goes to those who settle for nothing less than Jesus himself. And what is the reward? What awaits those who seek Jesus? Nothing short of the heart of Jesus. “And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him?(2 Cor. 3:18 TLB).

Can you think of a greater gift than to be like Jesus? Christ felt no guilt; God wants to banish yours. Jesus had no bad habits; God wants to remove yours. Jesus had no fear of death; God wants you to be fearless. Jesus had kindness for the diseased and mercy for the rebellious and courage for the challenges. God wants you to have the same.

He loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus.

When you reach the end of your rope
you will find the hem of His garment.

I have often felt that many things that bring us to our knees,
teach us while we are down there to learn to pray.

These possibilities are open to everyone.
Don't tell God you are not good enough, do what He asks.
Don't tell God to send someone else, He asked you.
Don't tell God you don't have time to pray, He said seek me first.
Don't neglect the things of God.  He said we are to
pick up His cross daily and follow Him.
Don't tell God anything is bigger than His ability.
God is the Great I Am, I am whatever you need.

There is no pit so deep, God's love is not deeper still.

Not my will but thine oh Lord.

Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God
