Hearty Hamburger soup

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

4 cups water

1 can diced tomatoes, undrained

1 can green beans, undrained

3 medium carrots, sliced

2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced (can limit to one or none)

1/2 cup chopped celery

4 beef bouilion cubes

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Procedure

In a large saucepan, brown beeef and drain.  Add the remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.  Reduce heat, cover and simmer until potatoes and carrots are tender, about a half hour.

 

Makes approximately two quarts.
