hi all and a happy new year!

was gonna talk a little about the placement of venus in pisces. i think ive mentioned it before but every girl ive fallen in love with has been a venus in pisces.

i think the positive side of this placement has some amazing qualities and these are usually part of the reason ive fallen for those that have this combination.i think neptune on my dc is another reason im immediatly attracted to these types.
but ive often found the relationships themselves to be incredibly difficult especially getting to understand what they (the venusian ) really like and how they really feel.
they never come across as being vocal about things and getting them to talk about their interests seems impossible sometimes ,its like they try and avoid it!

it always seems to me that they try and avoid being a what-you-see-is-what-you-get type and instead love to give an image of 'your not gonna be able to figure me out'.i guess i could say deceptive but then again i dont think thats the correct term as im sure that there are some who arnt being deliberatly deceiving.also when you do get to the point where you see the venus in pisces acting out their venusian qualities (their like's and dislikes) i always get the feeling that they are doing it in a self sacrificial way? eg. they dont really like listening to a particular song but they are listening to it because someone they like listens to it aswell.which although its incredibly endearing to have someone around who is that able to put their own interests aside.its incredibly confusing too as it leaves me wondering who and what is the REAL venus in pisces?

i remember some advice once was something along the lines of saying that intuition was the best thing to use when with a venus in pisces, and although i like to think my intuition is pretty good, ive been left scratching my head on many occassions when ive been told ive interpretted something wrong.
im very much a once bitten twice shy kind of person and im really starting to believe that i should actually avoid the venus in pisces types?

Happy New Year to you too Paul

As to your question, I can see quite easily WHY you are attracted to Venus in Pisces women, as your Neptune is the planet that occupies your 7th house of Relationships.

But remember too that Neptune opposes your Sun, so I think the answer you already have, which might be that you are attracting the wrong  people into the life, (women wise).
Perhaps a nice Aquarius/Gemini girl??.........maybe, Venus in Aquarius?
How about Venus in Virgo (you have a few Virgo placements too.

YES, I think Virgo is a possibility here.

Happy hunting for the right girl.

Deb.

hi, happy new year deb!

virgo's i get along with quite well, usually those with venus in libra, which makes sense as venus in libra seems to match venus in gemini quite well. i was reading something on the web a while ago which gave information on the best matches for each venus sign (apparently venus in scorpio is one of the worst matches for venus in gemini !)
i tend to go for women who have abit of fireyness in their personality aswell, maybe thats due to my leo moon and sag dc? its funny because it seems like ive never been able to have feelings for a girl who dosnt have some piscean qualities.ive met alot of really nice girls that have the earthy qualities and the fire that i look for and im attracted to them sexually but i cant seem to get any feelings for them unless there is a pisces influence in their chart? maybe its just a case of me not being able to find the right ones?

paul.

oh god....I can totally relate to what u say about venus in pisces....my ex has venus in pisces....and I have neptune just next to my sun, maybe why I am attracted to them to....Also ppl tend to think I am a pisces since I don't come accross as a sag much, but much more as a water sign cancer or pisces is what I have been told...mainly pisces....
Anyway I completely agree with u, venus in pisces and sun in pisces are very hard to understand and figure out....and communication is difficult with them, I find they will communicate to some extent but deep feelings are rarely revealed...and also in my experience they tend to be very unstable about what the feel and want....maybe that's what makes them attractive, they are unattainable on some level....
I also feel a little like u I guess about needing perhaps the word challenge in a relationship....and the biggest challenge for me is to really get to know someone....

you know its funny ,ive been thinking about this alot recently. ive met a fair few venus in pisces and i always have these same issues and problems relating with them. i guess it dosnt help that my gem sun and venus are at odds by sign and often by degrees. thaichan i had never thought about the fact that they are unobtainable being a contributer to their attractiveness, that would make alot of sense.

they defiantly do have a certain attraction that draws alot of people to them ,venus is apparently in exaltation in this sign.mainly because of its ability to love without placing any restrictions, love that knows no-bounds. i think my venus in gem is different, although mine has some slight neptunian qualities to it (being that its in opposition to neptune) sacrificial is a word i would use.
i also think venus in gem have an ability to love all manner of different people,i've certainly been attracted to many different types of women ,i think venus in sag is similar too.the only mutable placement of venus that i think dosnt have this quality from what i've seen is venus in virgo as they tend to be quite picky and have certain standards to be met (the perfectionistic type).

been thinking about this deeply .
i think my real need to know someone's feelings stems from me feeling unsure about whether that person likes me and wanting to hear it to feel validated. probably insecurity on my part, mainly its that sun+venus conjuction square to saturn in virgo i have. its always made me feel a little unworthy/unloved.this could be why in the past ive always said the'l' word probably too early on in relationships as been hoping to hear it back from my partner.so really maybe alot of my feeling towards venus in pisces is based around my insecurity?

I dont think it helps being a person with alot of gemini (sun, venus, rising), all too often ive noticed i have very different tastes to the piscean types, also different circles of friends/social groups. another thing about gemini which pisceans are not too keen on is that we tend to laugh and joke quite alot and ive noticed pisces are quite sensitive to this type of behaviour.particulary when the planets are a direct square.
but that being said ive often got on better with those that have the planets in the early degrees of pisces, since at times this can make a trine to my planets in the late degrees of gem.

thaichan9 ,if you have sun conjunction neptune you will definatly have a neptunian quality about you. my friend is a cap with sun conjunct neptune and he very much falls into the nice guy category.

Hi again

I just checked again my neptune is conjunct my sun as you thought so...you are right...and for the composite chart it is venus in aquarius but on the cusp with pisces, literally in between when you look at the chart...just wanted to correct that...

BY the way, Venus in Gemini sounds quite good for having open options you know instead of narrowing your options, since you are attracted to lots of different types of people...

hi,

yea your right. i find that a mental raport with someone is something i enjoy alot, i also like women who are intelligent or quite talkative ,someone really quiet wouldnt really work for me.i'd get abit frustrated.in terms of looks though anything goes! i think my preference is for foreigners or people who have a foreign look about themselves,i have that down to having a sag dc. darker complexions also because of saturn in the 5th and capricorn on the 8th cusp.

ive often wondered how a venus in aqua would work in a composite, aqua can be a little aloof, and quite logical (abit like gem) but since its fixed it tends to be abit more set in certain ways,in this respect i reckon for relationships a fixed house planet in a composite is good as it adds stability.

Thaichan: If you want to, you can post your natal chart on the board to the left, called, "Our Natal Charts"......for members and  their families.

OR, if you don't know how, I could do it for you,........but it's your call. Then everyone relates a bit better.

I posted a thread once, about HOW to post charts, I'll see if I can find it again

That sounds like a tricky situation, similar to the frustration I get. Your Venus is Virgo and his was Pisces, this may have made for some misunderstandings.Like what I have experienced with some people I know who have Venus in direct opposition to mine. Both are quite similar, but go about things in different ways.

I think Venus in Pisces like people to intuit their feelings which for some people can drive them up the wall.Men in general on average are less likely to talk about their feelings than women. So any planetary placement that emphasizes this characteristic is going to perhaps make it more prominent in their personality.
You mentioned your Pisces ex had a little jealousy in his personality, did he have any planets in the Taurus / Scorpio axis?

Flash.

HI everybody on this thread I have actually replied a couple of times and lost my emails so finally I have a chance to reply again and hope it will work this time....don't know what I was doing before...since sometimes it did work for sending...
Anyway, about venus in pisces I also think the only way to be good in a relationship with somebody with venus in pisces is to rely on intuition, which can be difficult for some and frustrating as well as we all need some evidence that we are loved I think, not just intuition of it...especially since most of us have some insecurities with regard to relationships...the other point about it I wanted to make is that pisces is also mutable so I think that venus in pisces ppl also tend to have changes in their feelings quite easily....at least in my experience...and I guess that makes it even harder for us who are their partners...relying on intuition only or almost and knowing the instability of feelings as well makes it doubly difficult....but I think that makes us crave the person even more as well....again the unattainable....which can make it a very intense relationship but one always on the edge of crumbling...

Thai...

Hi Flash!

Only now I realised that me and my ex had opposite venus... thanks for that! Yes, I felt very frustrated with him... Sometimes I think that we spoke different languages... he was extremely sensitive to criticism, so I couldn't say him anything... really difficult!

About my ex bf Piscies (it was before the ex aquarius), I already had his astral map but then I lost it... but I'm very sure that he had ascendant or moon in scorpio, because I remember that I joke with him about that... he was so so nice in everything but he was really possessive and jealous... he wouldn't want me to go to certain places, if we'd go out I'd become with pain with my back because he was always looking if I was looking to other people... yet he was really romantic, good-hearted, educated...  It's good to have good feelings about our ex-bfs! But it's good to reflect that being too jealous really can ruin a big love...
Even about the aquarius I don't have any bad feeling, just feel sorry for things didn't work out... and still a bit guilty since I should have been crazy to marry him...
Aquarius are nice persons, I have a few good friends of this sign but for love NEVER more!!!

MSN has been giving us all problems lately, posting and even accessing.

You might do better, not posting from your box, (in otherwords, redo your profile to say, you'll READ on the site, and not to send you emails of each post), and that way, you won't have all the repetitious stuff either in your post......which might be hampering  some of the posts getting through.

Just go to your "email settings".....and check the last box, "Will read on the site".,and then they don't clog up your own email, and y ou dont' post from that email either. It's better that way, (less words being posted on the threads), not repeats.

I don't know much myself about Venus in Pisces, other then everyone I've ever seen with this Venus placement, seems to have serious difficulties in relationships that either don't last or take advantage of them, (the Venus in Pisces person seems to be far too sacrificial ), IMO.

Of course, this is only from limited observation, and my youngest daughter who likewise, t his description would fit and has caused her to be treated far less then an equal in all her relationships.

I think it's not a good placement, because of this observation from all I've seen, it creates within the person (seemingly?), a need to sacrifice too much of themselves.
