just wondering what people would consider the sign/house and planet associated with good/bad manners?

Great question

Maybe Libra or Virgo?  Here in America, we use to have "Miss Manners" on TV or the Radio.

Let me see if I can find her  date of birth.

She was the expert on "manners"

YEP - she's  a  Virgo alrighty, wouldn't  you just know it?

Here's another one we grew up hearing about all the time, Emily Post.,who lived in Baltimore, where I'm from. I bet she was a Sidereal Libran, (but looks like a Tropical Scorpio)

She was the cat's meow concerning "Proper Etiquette".

.................................................................................................
From Rex Bills "The Rulership Book", (see chapters of it here on this link that I posted on the other thread this weekend, lost of online google books as well) under "Astrology Tools"

According to the Rex Bills book which I have, he puts Etiquette as under Venus and Jupiter, with a co-ruler could be Neptune.
(page 45) of the book.
Under "Manners" he gives it to Venus (and the Moon)

sounds a bit Libran to me.....
let's say Virgo-Libra-Scorp Constellation or thereabouts and be in the vicinity.
But also Venus - Jupiter & the Moon (Neptune)?

Not sure if this online book has page 46 or not

I noticed under "mannerisms", and one's mannerism; he assigned it to Mars. Perhaps bad manners then, or rough around the edges type of behaviors, would be Mars domain?

I'd think house wise, then, it's probably 3rd (the mind) although Vedics assign the 2nd as the mind also;
Then there is the 4th (for at  home behaviors?)...or the 6th for Virgo's house and everyday mundane affairs.

My money's on the 3rd & the 6th, but I don't see in his book, the houses assigned as such.

just various places for etiquette, manners, etc. as Venus, Neptune (Moon), Jupiter, and "?Mars?"mannerisms.....

thanks deb,
thats very interesting.my initial thoughts were that it was libra's domain and the 7th house, although I can see ho the area would cover the 6th,7th and 8th.
6th being service to others,7th being the house of partnerships,8th house is the support you receive from others. manners is often something that is about give and take eg.
asking to be excused and then being excused.

I would say 3rd is important to since that is how we communicate and alot of manners are through talking? or perhaps communication gestures.

Also yes I see a connection with the second,if we are to think of the 2nd house as being the house where it shows our eating habits?

Well, the Vedics say the 2nd is a very important  house, and it's of the mind ...(like we see the 3rd perhaps?) We call it our Values house.
But if you mean because Taurus is the ruler, yes, I suppose so, plus the Ruler of Taurus is Venus.
But I don't think Taurus is particulary etiquette prone, like Libra or Virgo would be?
