I had a dream last night that I found a fluffy, bunny rabbit living in my son's closet.  I called to it to come out and let me see it.  It hopped out, cute...healthy looking..brownish fur and on it's back was a much smaller (maybe 1/8 of size) baby rabbit...sickly and deformed.  The baby clung to its mother's back, alive but one side was either sick or deformed.

another animal dream......

This one, not dangerous, rather seeming to be harmless , or as we usually  would see a bunny to be.

Even though something appears harmless then, it can produce something that is far from perfect!  as (the symbol of the sick, deformed attachment).............So the attachment (is a symbol), and the deformity, may mean, (still flawed, even though appearance of being harmless)...........

Living in the closet , then if our house is our conciousness, then the closet (or even a hallway), is accessible to our consciousness, and a "part of".,so connected to our consciousness.

Closets house things, things which we don't see every day, just "when we take them out" to inspect, or put on ,like a piece of clothing, etc.

since this is a closet, then it's part of your own consciousness, your own intimate part, as part of your house,

Sickly & deformed suggests the connection/attachment, needs work, before it dies altogether.,and therefore will be too late for regrets.
If we take this to mean "mother & child"...such as your own mother,
or we may see this symbol as reflective of another kind of attachment, (with him), that although "appearing harmless", has a big flaw attached to it.

(just a few thoughts on the symbols)

I was wondering if the baby bunny attached to the larger bunny could be "the inner child" hurt or damaged and in need of care?

that's a wonderful symbol, and yes of course, I think you've got it!!

...........only the dreamer of the dream of course KNOWS for sure, "what fits and feels right", intuitively, and the interpretations I do can only give some tips or hints to think about, but I'm sure you have it correctly then.
