my middle daughter Jen related a dream she was eager to share as she had figured out easily the symbology of the dream.  To put it here, then so others may see how symbols and puns work in our dream world.

...................

She went to meet her two sisters, and their  husbands, at a mall for a dinner, but when she got there she realized, how very far down she needed to walk to get to them.
It was like all the stores on the way down this walkway, or path in the mall were named after her younger sister's new husband's company..... one was called Micro--- mall, another Micro,---and son, the other Micro --- until finally she reached the one that said, "Micro-food"......and she knew that was the one to meet them.

As she went into the restaurant, she saw them all (4 of them) sitting at one table, but there was "no room for her there".....so she sat alone at another table.,across from them.

As she tried to get the attention of the waiter, as she was hungry by now, the others had "already eaten" and were laughing and having a great time, while she was (again), alone and famished.(hungry),although there was a rather wilted looking salad, not very appetizing with toaster crumbs instead of bread crumbs. (i.e."not real) bread crumbs she noticed. as she pushed it aside, wanting the "real thing".

After trying to get the attention of the waiter, it became apparent, the others, (esp. the husband of her sister), was embarressed by Jen's actions to get the attention of the waiter.

She persisted, and finally, the waiter, "threw her a menu", and when she opened it, she saw it "was empty", nothing there!

Interp:

.............I don't think I posted the whole thing, but it was evident to her, that her sisters and their husbands, were all quite "filled" and happy, and rather uproaringly so, having had enough to nourish them, and be happy about.

Jen,  however, alone and hungry (not nourished), couldn't understand why they didn't seem to even notice her or her predictament.

The enviornment, was overall,  "unfriendly" to her and her needs.

she felt they truly didn't care, as long as they "were nourished", and felt the tables being apart, and she not being a "part of the crowd", was a symbol of feeling, "left out".....as she does in waking life, feel when it comes to their ability to be very happy in each other's company, and "full" of the same type of nourishment, (i.e. easily satisifed, with material things)...........

(I suppose in waking life, she does feel the enviornment, is rather phoney and not "real".........)she said, that they all live in (mentally)....and/or emotionally.

She felt the toaster crumbs, or bread instead of REAL croutons, was a symbol of "not real" or reality based.,as she saw the entire scene to be.  Perhaps saying then, she "feels" in waking life like the emotinons of her sisters belie the horror and pain the parents are going through instead, living a kind of seperate and stale existence, even with many material advantages, (all the Micro stores)......
