a strange dream.     Perhaps on the East Coast......a harbor was there, and this huge home with a kind of "dining room" full of people with the view of the harbor, the working boats and dinghys, etc. out the large plate glass window in the dining room.
The view was interesting, but a "work view" as a harbor might afford, not a calm peaceful sea or even a raging ocean's currents, but just a working harbor full of working things........

Anyway, my husband & I heard somehow in this place that the owner was tired & wanted to sell the place, and I said to his daughter? or relative, "How much does he want for it?"
not that I'd ever want to move or buy into any kind of Real estate again. (that's in my younger days)...............

The answer was $3,750.00........and I said, to myself, it's impossible, they must mean 3 million, or 375,000.00 not under 4,000.00??  Very confusing.....as the place had many many rooms to explore, many floors, but all real old and all needed much renovation everywhere.

But she insisted, that was his price.  So I whispered to my husband, we HAD to put a "goof faith down payment" on this place.,like $500.00, which I'm sure my husband wasn't keen on (just a feeling, not what he said or anything).......in the dream.

I was envisioning, what all we could do with this place, and sat down in the dining room portion, with the big window watching all the work going on outside, and thinking to myself, "he must need lots of insurance, because of allthe foot traffic, all the people who come here, and the laws concerning the water traffic, etc...........perhaps I better inquire moreso about the laws and the loopholes?

A man came into the dining room sat down with his wife, and he looked kind of "clownish", with a really wig looking hair, reddish and clownish, (the wig was curley and didn't fit right)....and he said he owned 29 properties down the street t here, (along the harbor), all new construction of very very expensive condos and houses.....

He seemed to be very proud of his owning these places, and he said they walk up here everyday for coffee, and to sit in this dining room.

(that's all I recall now)....................

(LOL - a Fruedian slip???)............you'll see why later on in the Interpretation.....should have typed, "Good Faith" down payment.

Interpretation:

with my husbands' help, I think we've interpreted it as it pertains to our life together....

1) with the view of the harbor, the working boats and dinghys, etc.

From a photograph, I saw for the first time, in his wallet, he had from his early days of a light house where he used to work in the Coast Guard, ................so this is the "Stage" for the dream to unfold..

2) The water in the harbor, is how I see life, a lot of work, nothing, just sitting and viewing comfortably or even serenely, (just work)

3) The "House" is the individual's life, and the man selling it so  cheaply, is how I see most people on this earth (viewing life, as seemingly, cheap........)

4) the "Goof faith down payment,", LOL meaning the "Good faith down payment", is to say, it would be goofy for me to immerse myself again into the material realms, of real estate, and these values.

5) the fact that my husband was not keen or even responding emotionally, is how life is (the waking life), when it comes to anything, much concerning material values or life in material things........(he's retired early, without a pension or SS for instance, we just live on a meager savings........)

6)The man with the wig, "seeming clownish" to me, in the dining room with the 29 condos, bragging, ...............
is probably how I VIEW people into material things so much, as being "clownish".

7) the work and loopholes, etc...........(was musing over all the pitfalls that the material realm brings when you immerse yourself into it.)..........and recognizing that it wasn't it seems.
Perhaps a huge monetary gain, to immerse yourself, but a lot of potential pitfalls, worries & trouble too. Perhaps not worth it then...........is what the dream was reflecting.

as oftentimes happens, I must have picked up some thoughts of my husbands when I drifted off to slumber and dreams.
He was (unbeknownst to me), looking at online photos of the habour area we had once owned some real estate near, but we pulled out, after 15 years of hard work, because we felt so beaten down by life, so essentially we pulled out before the "Big Payoff" came.

Today these same old renovated houses near the harbour fetch about 1/2 to one million dollars EACH.....when we sold them back in 1996 (10 years ago), we sold them for approximatly $20,000.00 each., so they've gone up from 10 to 20 times as much easily., (we could have been multi-millionaires), but instead, live on approx. $25,000. per year income today.

So the dream "In Context" of the true waking life, now makes a great deal of sense, but it's interesting to me again, how he & I will pick up on each other's unspoken thoughts and then have a dream to reflect inner musings about them.

I'll post the photo I myself had seen, that probably set the "Stage" for the actual dream to take place.

here is what the "working harbour" looked like in my dream (the Stage) , now I understand, from my husband he had been looking at photos of renovated properties, near the habour we use to live.......just last night.

This photo is one that I had seen yesterday for the first time, I could recall, and was his, from his Coast Guard days and use to be in his wallet for years......so old looking.

typo:

meant to type:...............Our life has been together, just a lot of work, nothing like just sitting comfortably, or even serenely)..........

more work then fun then, and the payoffs have been few (in the material realm of life), but I'm certain, it's been a huge gain for the spiritual realm of our (mutual soul).,and I need to take comfort from knowing this.

Sometimes, the gains in the material, mean exactly the opposite for the spirit.

2nd Dream same night:

Can't recall anything much except that Ralph came home with a bag of food he purchased for us, including 2 coffees.

I looked intot he bag, took the coffee out, and the cup was not even half full, (lol)

It had only 1/3rd a cup of coffee in it.  I told him, "look you were cheated"..........

Same theme as above?.............about life and how I feel (on one level) about life.
