Fascinating dream he had last night.
First we were standing on the street, and I wanted to get onto the bus.

Opening scene, was a bus in which he was only on the periphery or the platform of "holding on", whereas, I was traveling inside the bus, but holding another seat for a passenger who "wasn't there yet".

He didn't know who this person was, just that I said, I was trying to help her by holding a seat for her.

Next, he said, he was in a building, and following an "offical looking person, like a police or guide" thru the building.
The stairway took you up to a place with was then, the "Lucid part of the dream", being exactly like here, in 3 dimensional form, very impressive, very "real " looking in every way, every detail. as all lucid type of experiences are.

Next, he left that area, following the guide, and saw another set of steps going up, and upon going up, found it very "plain and simple" up there. A simple doorway, unelaborate and still going up.

He thought that was the end of the steps , but it wasn't .

As he looked around he saw a place that wasn't easily seen by any.  It was sort of a hidden alcove, where existed another set of steps, but it was so small, "So narrow", that only one person could go up at a time, and no one was there.
It was the most fascinating part of the dream, (next to the lucid part which draws the attention of course), because this last small set of steps actually "dissolved before his eyes" in front of him.

End of dream.

Interpretation:

This is a dream of consciousness, and one's trip through same.

The opening scene is we were on a trip, (he & I), and although in a foreign place, knew we could get around with the language because of others on the bus who spoke different languages.

Opening:

The bus was a FOCAL point for him, because, he was only "holding on", not really ensconced within the bus itself.
The Bus is a "Pun" or symbol then, of "mass consciousness", because a bus is seen as "Mass Transit" (for the soul), and has the rest of humanity, (so to speak), on the bus then.

I was sitting inside the bus (so I'm really more into helping others, as part of my daily life,,.....i.e. "in the bus", holding a seat for a stranger), then Ralph is. He prefers to be "on the periphery", or the platform in this case....to get to where we are going, "the end of the line". (another pun)

NEXT:
The building he went into, was very very old.  This is a symbol of his own consciousness then, (older then time itself)  one might surmise.
The fact that there was a "Guide" an official looking person there, is a symbol for "his higher self". who guides him.

They saw a very "lucid dream type of enviornment", and he was fascinated by it all....(this is the being in the earth realm where we as souls are fascinated by our very creations....)  it's details, etc. hold you almost in a trance like state of fascination.

But he moved on, moving up "other stairways", until he reached what he thought was the "top floor".........with the guide or "being guided".

This top floor was very simple , and very plain.

The surprising part to him, in this dream was that there actually was another floor even above this one, but quite narrow, (this is a pun for Jesus anaology to the 'Narrow gate" or the narrow path.) only one can go at a time, it is very narrow indeed, and not easy to traverse.

(i.e. the last step to our consciousness out of this plane or realm, is a very narrow entrance, leading up and away from here).only one can go at a time, and you must enter it alone.,(too narrow for walking two together..)
This sound like our deaths, where it can only be experienced in our consciousness, alone.

A beautiful dream all in all....
