last night I dreamt I was in Senegal Africa.  We actually sponser children there, with the CCF (Christian Children's Foundation), and one boy in particular, has been a long time sponsered child, approximately 5 years now.

In the dream, I was in his village.  It is a tiny village, outside of the big city, Senegal, and not near the beach at all.

It is also a Moslem village.

In the dream, Ngagne, (his name), was not home, but I was told he was "at a museum, or some type of after school activity, that day)

I spoke to his sister, whose name is Hagar, and she was showing me her little necklace, a gold charm of a Mexican Sombero.  I told her I have one too, from my mother, was is now deceased, but mine wasn't as fancy as hers was.

Hers had little diamonds around the hat, and was colorful, mine was smaller & no diamonds.

From this scene, in the dream; next was a gardner type of person who was working on the surrounding landscape.

I saw that there were "blooming rose bushes", and I said to him, "you must get a lot of water/rain here, because my roses back home in the desert aren't blooming, or looking quite as good as these are"............I then saw they were the ones I sent to the family as well as other flowers in an otherwise, "stark enviornment" of sandy landscape.

I remember too, that two little boys came to where I was staying there, and I gave them both a banana.  When I opened the cabinet, the one little boy saw I had two bags of "Cheetos corn puffs", and he got all excited, seeing that next to it was a "corn popping machine" too.

So, I offered him a bag and gave him the corn popper to take with him.

The bananas had a dark spot (when overripe), on them, so  I asked them if they knew how to take that off when eating?
I found out they had no "utensils", so I looked in the drawer and gave him a butter knife to take, (one that was very small and didn't look dangerous or could cut him)........and he took it with him.

end of dream.

Interpretation:

I think the dream is showing that even in a stark reality, like this little village we can make a difference in someone's life(lives).

The bananas, though not much, still was "sustinence", and "food".......or spiritual food (as a symbol)

The rose bushes which I gave them, and were both planted and doing very well, (blooming), is a symbol that Ngagne, has merited much from the relationships, and is doing well, (as the rose bushes showed)

The little gold necklace that Hagar showed me, a Mexican sombero, similar to one of my own, I have no idea of that symbol yet.
But she did say, she wanted to sell it,

There was one other thing in the dream I forgot to mention, and that was that I had asked one of the children, (Ngagne or his brother), whether anyone in the family was upset with the U.S. over the bombing in Iraq and elsewhere, (the Wars)......

he told me, "yes", their father was, and blamed America.

I said,"well, be sure to tell him that people are all different, and we do not agree with this war or any wars......",and aren't participatory.

..................................................................................................

I can see the WHY of this dream., and I see it as both a "message" dream, from the higher self, saying, that when you give to others less fortunate then yourselves., it's like planting a rose garden that blooms.

I also have been worried too, off & on for 3 years, about the family's take on the Iraq War, as 3 years ago, the older brother, Ngalla asked me once, "Did I vote for G. W. Bush", and I sent a long letter trying to explain that in 2004 I voted for Kerry, and not Bush, and that many people in our country were against the War in Iraq.

I tried to give them the analogy of living in Africa, each part of Africa has it's own government, it's own leaders, and the people truly have no real say, beyond the majority votes.
The same in America.

So the dream is just reflecting, both the heart's desire to do good in the world, (hence the flowers), as well as worry over this war and how it is being viewed by the "less fortunate" of the world.
