A rather strange little dream.
I dreamt I was in Egypt, in the old city of Cairo, where I walked into a big room, kind of a meeting room where a young girl was cleaning up, putting things away.  She was very sweet to talk to, an American I think who said she was there with a  Religious christian group.

Her mother? or some women came in, to get her and they all left this big room, (it sort of looked like a classroom) saying they were on their way to a home nearby where a person had obviously left the church and they wanted to try & talk the person back into the church.

Then I tried to find my coat, I looked everywhere in this room thinking the young girl had hung it up or put it somewhere but it was no where in site just gone.......I was kind of upset about it, not knowing what I'd wear then if I left.

I was then in  a Banquet type of setting, with food on the table.
I know the food in the Middle East isn't food I'm too crazy about eating, but a man was urging me to eat some of the pies he had made.
One looked like custard and one looked apple, so I agreed, and ate a piece of each of those......which seemed appetizing.
It turned out they were quite tasty.,and I was pleasantly surprised....

Interpretation:

...........I think this one is easily explained, because I was on a site last night prior to sleep where I heard someone talking about leaving the church they had belonged to for many many years.........

So it makes sense, I'd superimpose the church theme on the meeting hall, and the idea of (prosteletyzing) of the group to get one of their members back.

Why Cairo?
Why the banquet?
Why the apple pie & custard that I liked?
Why the missing coat I couldn't find anywhere?

I think the missing coat may be because once on a tour, a woman had told us that her shoes had  been taken outside a mosque in Egypt.
The tradition there is to put your shoes outside, with everyone elses and then go in barefoot, until  you leave as a sign of respect, and her new tennis shoes were gone when she came out.

So the guide bought her a new pair.

But why would I dream of this coat missing??

not sure......

As far as Cairo and Egypt, I'm hoping to visit there the next big trip we take......maybe the end of the year.

no clue why the coat was missing......

Perhaps just not feeling "warmth" or security perhaps......

The churchpeople I understand, and Egypt has a tiny minority of Christians there...only 5%.

but I'm going to  have to sleep on the rest and see if my other dreams explain it any more.

I think the eating of the pies that I like anyway,  that were offered, was telling me that I enjoy the hospitality of the people I meet when I travel and that even though the cultures are so different, there can still be a sharing, and even a delicious one that I enjoy.

(I suppose I'm really hoping big time that Grand Circle will have their end of year sale, and Egypt will  be included this time as it was last year...but we couldn't do it ) and it's been in the back of my mind, to watch for end of year sales.......Although there are plenty of other vacations too, it's Egypt that impresses me the most, and Israel as a side trip extension, that I am looking to do with  it.
