Lately the dream world has been reopening once again for both my husband & myself......

 

Sometimes, dreams are like that, they seem to come in cycles.

 

The following one was what I term a "message dream"......and it had to do with a political/views site which I recently joined, as the regular sites for politics all seemed to be so very one sided towards calling anyone not for Bush and their politics Anti-American.   Therefore, I was invited by a more Liberal person, in their mindset, to join their board, and the young man who invited me is from England, (UK)......and his site is comprised of people from around the world, but a good majority are Muslems.

 

(Pakistan, UK, Egypt, even one or two from Iraq)

 

Decidedly I found almost within the 1st week there that this site was kind of like all the others, but this time, the balance was pro-Muslem, and Anti-Zionist or Israel.

 

I have a real hard time generalizing when it comes to people, so of course I had to say so, which didn't sit well with them.

 

I see all as individuals and try to see people on their own merits, and not the generalization of a religion, a country, or even a particular political party.

 

Here was my dream then, which I'm sure was borne from the "emotion", of joining this new political site:

 

 

.........I saw myself & my husband in a big commercial type of bus....which came to a Light or a Stop sign....the Bus Stopped!

 

we wanted to get off....and we were sitting where tour operators sit, (in the very front kind of on or near the steps) to be the first ones off the bus.

 

........As the doors flung open , we noticed to the left a building a smaller concrete type of bunker looking building,to which a bunch of young people were running towards with their guns drawn.

 

It looked like a dangerous type of enviornment there, so we knew we needed to run to safety, to the right, and over to a big Truck (like a mover's van, international big style)........

 

But on the way to the big truck, he & I got sidetracked and instead went to an open air type of seating (like an open community picnic tables and chairs.....) and we took 2 seats there.

 

Next to me was a woman, who smiled at me.

 

I looked to my right at my husband who took off a Religious icon, a Cross (but the Jesus figure was rubbed off, worn away just from age)......it had been his mother's old gold cross, but so very old, the figure on it was now not seen..........he took it off his neck from a chain, and gave it to me.

 

End of dream

 

 

.....I recognized in the dream many puns.

 

1st, the bus as the vehicles we use in life to go thru life, and he & I were together.......we wanted to get off..(sometimes, I'm sure we both emotionally feel this way).....

 

2nd, the guns drawn by the young people, making us "feel" threatened, I think is the new enviornment (political site I joined)......as they are very very emotional there, and very anti-Israel,(Zionism)...

 

going for shelter in the dream (towards the truck because it was very sturdy, thick steel, etc.)....and would have provided shelter then.....but we were "sidetracked", and instead opted for "exposing ourselves", in the open air arena, again, something we've done in the past few years, especially now, trying to help in the political realm. (to open some people to more balanced perspectives)

 

The chain around his neck holding the cross, (his mother's old cross), is very interesting to me, because he has never taken to religion at all., doesn't care for any organized religion.

 

I see this pun, as his deep faith, (internally),  he has in the spiritual properties we all contain within us.....

 

He received perhaps this spirituality, early in life from his mother and her exposing him to Christ.

 

Therefore, the cross symbol, (even with Jesus worn away), says that the "Ideal" of the cross.,(bearing our burdens)in life, is still for all of us, to then apply these burdens in a most profitable and spiritual way we can muster up.
