This dream is just an example of how watching a TV documentary, or any movie, or daily life's visions, can then work it's way in the subconscious mind, into the Dream symbols & state of consciousness, to then "think about", in a different way:

........................................................................................................

Last night Ralph was rather upset as he told me about watching a Turner Classics Documentary on India (circa 1969)......I remember he said to me, it's so senseless, it's so awful and probably even worse today in that country.
He was speaking about the Leper colony where people suffering from leprosy were made to take their entire family with them, (and then they of course, ALL come down with leprosy which is highly contagious) and just WHY they would do this???

He spoke of the "tradition" of taking religious icons, made of wood and carrrying them thru the streets huge monumental things, on their shoulders, (like the Spanish or Italians do with the huge Silver Madonnas, & pedastals.....each year in parades)......BUT, instead of using them afterwards to burn for firewood, in a "practical" way to help themselves, when they are done with the parades, they "dump them  into the Ganges River".........so the Ganges is just full of these dumped icons and artifacts, while the people scrounge making "dung" balls of cow dung, dried on roof tops in order to burn them for fuel & heat.
As long as I can remember, my husband has been an Agnostic, very much against any organized religions, seeing them mostly as a bane to societies, manipulating & then using mind control techniques, which the people who don't think for themselves buy into and then, (as in India), stay down in life, never really recovering, from these beliefs.

The cows there are sacred, but people die hungary from starvation.
The artifacts (religious ones) are ceremoniously dumped into the river and wasted........when they could provide heat & fuel.......

In Muslem countries, killing people is "justified" based upon non other then religious principles & beliefs.

In Christian societies, the same.........(look at G.W. Bush justifying killing masses of people, yet he & Dick Cheney go to church each week) and are photographed..........with their bibles.

I must admit, I had a hard time myself, to justify and balance out his upset with religion over the years, perhaps that is why I agreed with him, to NOT raise our 3 girls in any religious persuasion, (and they turned out just fine, and can think for themselves)......even IF they aren't perfect human beings, they can still THINK.

So this is the background of the following dream, after watching this documentary of India.
And having this discussion about Religions.......

DREAM:           based on Life & Reflection of life

Ralph was riding on a motorcycle while it was pouring down rain, and the rain became harder and more intense, like a hurricane, sheets and sheets of rain making it impossible to see one foot in front of him.
He said he had a kind of windjacket on, (to protect him), yet even that didn't help, as he pulled the hood onto his head, the rain still poured in torrents, blocking his vision completely.

Then  he saw a work vehicle, that looked like a "big golf cart" all opened with a roof over it, like an emergency coloured (yellow & black).
The drivers invited him to ride with them, to get out of the rain, so he did.
Then he realized that he HAD to do "menial labor" to pay them back for the ride he took, and he was taken to an enclosed area, where it was very dirty work, and gave him the impression, it was an "indentured servant" type of job,
He just "wanted to get the job done" so he could get home........being rather miserable about it all...

end of dream

Interpretation:

.............It's rather easy to see that this dream was a reflection or msuing about what he saw consciously that was so upsetting to him.
The "torrents of rain".......respresents EMOTIONS, which drive a human being, to the extent that they cannot "SEE A FOOT IN FRONT of THEM" for these emotions that overwhelm them in life.

...........So rain and torrents, sheets of it all Puns for Emotions.......

The riding thru these torrents of rain on a motorcycle, (whenever we ride on anything in life,) it's representing consciousness as a "vehicle"..

The "Emergency Vehicle" looking vehicle, with the colors in America of an Emergency type of vehicle, which picked him up & offered him a ride.......when he simply wanted to go home
Represents the state of affairs of our very souls in the earth plane.IMO.

Meaning, that as an "emergency type of effort", Souls are given the opportunity to reincarnate over & over again.; to "work as indentured servants" almost, (as seen as symbols here or puns)
in order to "pay back" this almost impossible payback of karma they have accumulated.

Kind of like the understanding he had that "it' is impossible to EVER pay back in this kind of system of indentured servanthood"........
He realized this in the dream, was cognizant of it, and said, he knew "he just wanted to go home"..........

This dream then is manyfold:

1) is a reflection, stemming from the documentary of India, where it gets it's "staging" and props.
2)Shows Ralph that only Emotions, "cloud one's vision"
3)Shows him that like an indentured servant, there is NO end to the "Wheel" of karma..........as long as we are attached to emotions, and attachments.
4) Suggests there is a "home" to which we can and do long for (the spiritual plane of existence)

Overall, he did note that the "emergency vehicle" (or let's say an "emergency consciousness" provides "Partial Shelter", yet there is never enough "payback" (i.e. karma) ...........that one can do.

My own take on this dream, is that the "wheel of karma" the payback is non-ending, and only provides, "partial relief" from the storm.
The only way out for souls, is to find their   way home again,
by taking the Law of Grace, which means, to live the way, the perfect way that Christ or Jesus himself, showed us how to live a life.
(not to become a Christian, I don't mean that!! - but just to live a life that he lived......forgiving, loving, caring, being empathethic, putting aside the ego........then one can    go home & not become "indentured" for many karmic lives.

Both reference to Emotions concerning "Religious beliefs"and the adoption of them to the exlusion of all common sense OR reasoning being applied.
