in my dream, my MIL (mother in law)  was visiting and wanted to shop.  I took her to Kohl's and found a magazine to sit and read (since I hate stores).  Next thing I know, I woke up at home.  I told her that I don't remember driving there and there were antique places I thought she'd like that I could have shown her.  She told me that I nodded off 3 times completely while driving and then I was out.  Then, I realized I shouldn't drive anymore.

Now, in real life I sometimes think I'll loose my mind someday since I'm already SO forgetful.  Any other ideas?

.............The car represents driving through life, one's own consciousness.....

"Getting somewhere , like at home, without KNOWING consciously, how one got there", suggests you need to be more cognizant, of "What drives you in life".....metaphorically speaking.
This is NOT literal, but symbolic representations.

Realizing you "shouldn't drive anymore", means you are being told, or warned (via your higher self); you need to become more cognizant and aware of what, why and how you are "driving/I.e. moving your conscousness through life"  means not drive in the SAME manner  one's life anymore.

Not knowing, "how I got there" or from here to there, suggests the reflection occurring now, and not being happy about the recent move. ie "how did I do this?""how did I go from being happy to this?"
