He's been reading a book by an English Lawyer, who took on 50 of the cases in GITMO......to try and gain these people their day in court after 4 years of brutality by the US government.

Each day after reading a bit, he tells me how (one day it is a 14 year old who was captured)......and the young man, now 19 in GITMO, explains how where he lived, he was told to go to Pakistan in order to learn computer lanaguage, (makes sense) as they are a huge computer literary country.,esp. in certain regions where he went into.

There is an old man there, at the age of 93. He can be a "Enemy combatant??

Then there is the one who was a Chef in London and also an English native; who, in order to make some money selling silver on the side, because he had a 6 yrs.old child who needed surgery, went to Pakistan, and the bus he was on, was turned over (everyone in that bus) was turned over for "Cash" from the Americans, who put out a bounty on everyone they could capture, and of course, nefarious people turned over the entire busload of people, (including this chef) for a $5,000. per person "bounty". to satisfy their evil intentions.(both the purchaser of human beings, i.e. americans and the sellers of flesh, i.e. the local tribesmen.)........

Their busload of  human cargo, made them a fortune and the American military was satisifed to have something to show the American people, as "their captured"

Then, there is the Cameraman who, although working for Al Jazeera newspaper, was ensconed with CNN cameraman & Journalists, as well as people working the papers and the news from all over the world.
HE was taken as "captured", in Afghanistan, with NO charges, NO
type of reason whatsoever, and has been there, tortured and beaten now for over 4 years, (or 5 years)

no wonder Ralph had this following dream, last night

the book he is reading is called:

"Eight O'Clock Ferry to the Windward Side"
or Seeking Justice in Guantanamo Bay by Clive Stafford Smith

this book should be in all libraries now:

In this dream, Ralph was attempting to set up his Tripod and set his camera on it, to gain some photos in a large cavernous type of building in the desert.  But the dust and wind, (much like going to Sakkara Egypt), in a sandstorm, - was blowing so hard, and the entire camera was full of dust, debri, and sand; to the extent, that when he put it into his car to try & clean it out
it was almost impossible to do without an air compressor to blow out the dirt.

That's the word he used, "Dirt" "Encrusted Dirt", the filth and dirt into this camera was terrible, giving only a clouded and foggy appearance to whatever one wanted to try & gain a picture of, from ANY angle........it was filthy.

...................................................................................................
A group of Professionals pulled up, and they were laughing and deriding Ralph's attempt to clean this camera, as though making fun of him saying he didn't know what he was doing.

Then, we went into this old building, where he noticed, "a lot of rooms weren't being used"..................

The reason why this dream is a reflection of life, the book he is reading, and HOW he & I both perceive the events at GITMO is the following puns & symbols of this dream:

1) The dust of the desert, and in a desert is about mostly Arabs, and the Sand and the dirt, the filth is mostly about American Military doing very dirty and nefarious deeds in GITMO all these past 5 years to these "captured" insurgents (as they term them, i.e. "Enemy Combatants"

2)The dirt there (the nefarious evil deeds of the Bush Administration, set up in GITMO, mostly by Cheney & Rumsfeld, with Bush's authoirzation and okay; is so very evil and awful, it is DIRT and FILTH, that does not "allow a photo or a "clear view", from "any angle" (puns in the dream)

In otherwords, it's "beyond cleaning", just as he was shown in the dream state.

3) The Professionals, who "laughed, made fun of, and even tried to provoke" Ralph, in the dream, are the Military at GITMO and the Bush Administration people, all doing evil deeds today., in secrecy, hiding by re-naming what they are doing.

i.e.
Enemy Combatants, is classifying people to not give them any rights whasoever, a political & legal tool

when ones they had zero (nothing on), instead of changing their status to "innocent", or "not guilty", they change or rename the classificaiton purposefully to "NO - LONGER, (Enemy Combatants) (or NLEC) officially, as IF they got cured .........
This is both immoral and reeks of manipulation of law in order for self-aggrandizing purposes, (to not be seen as doing the evil they have done to these mostly poor people).....there are VERY few who actually did anything at all in GITMO ,

Out of several hundred, perhaps some estimates are many 3 dozen are gulty of anything at all.

4) the large cavernous building, with many rooms not being used;
is explained as this:

........When the Red Cross comes or the Senators, or congresspeople, to SEE first hand, how they are being treated; they are shown only one room, in which there is a soda machine, a little fridge, a TV, (like a dorm room) almost.
Yet, what isn't being shown are many hidden areas, many hidden rooms that no man has seen, but known by a few journalists now to exist......
The prisoners have told, and there are others who have explained about these "hidden" rooms.,not seen by the politcians.

The "Buck stops here" is a saying used by President Harry Truman, who said in otherwords, that the President, who hold the highest desk in the land ........is the ultimate one responsible, for everything under his command, or "The Buck Stops Here"

There is no excuse then, is what he meant.

Here is an excellent rendition I found yesterday, and had never read before, of just what Bush's Natal chart is like.,and I agree with this reading 100%as most accurate, although I'd add his BML (in his 12th house conj. his evil Mercury), hidden; and conj. his South Node (past lifetimes) nefarious and hidden similar deeds; and opposing the important, "open enemies" house the 7th,
along with Ceres(his mother) near the D/C Cusp,

(these few things aren't being picked up that I also noticed about Bush's chart) otherwise, I agree with this general reading of the man, in whom GITMO (Guantanamo Bay) holding cells, remain , as Harry Truman once said, "The Buck stops Here with him"

(see reading next)

Here is a better description I think, or at least as good a one I've read over the years of this man's seriously crippled karmic life:

Bush, everyone seems to have strong opinions against or for Bush.  Why is this?  One possible reason is that Bush's chart has much emphasis in Leo - his Ascendant, Mercury, Pluto and Venus (all in the first house) are in that sign, which give him an undeserved smugness often seen in unevolved Leo types.

Leo is also a sign of pride and ego and the smirk we frequently see is an obvious manifestation.  However, the characteristic of Leo most alarming in this personality is the desire for and assumption of power.  Bush has assumed, without Constitutional authority or Congressional assent or oversight, powers rivaling no predecessor, even in times of war.  These include personally deciding who will be retained and interrogated (tortured) as "enemy combatants" indefinitely and without due process, including U.S. citizens.  In other words, our present government can make people disappear (12th house) and deny them access to the outside world.  Is this 2004 or are we retrogressing to Orwell's 1984?

With the Sun and Saturn (both symbols of authority and control) in the 12th house of his chart, Bush has created a secret government (12th house) that answers to no publicly elected officials except himself and Chaney.

This shadow government is poised to seize control (Leo) in the event of a crisis, declare Martial Law, suspend individual Constitutional rights, and restrict travel to mention only a few of its powers.

Fear is represented by Saturn and by the 12th house and Bush has Saturn in the 12th house.  This fearful nature is impacting on the whole country - he and those in his regime play on the fear of terrorism that many Americans feel and they breed fear of loss of freedoms, retribution, or interrogation in other Americans.

Despite the Leo in his chart, Bush's 12th house Sun and Saturn make him secretly quite insecure and paranoid (see my article Bush Compared to Nixon) so he has surrounded himself with "yes" men and women and he isolates himself from dissention or disagreement from others.

For example, White House aides who question his ideas are not allowed back in the Oval Office, protestors are prohibited from demonstrating anywhere within his view, and those who are allowed to appear anywhere near him must first sign a loyalty statement.

comparing Sen. John Kerry with G.W. during the 2004 Election this Astrologer said:

Bush does too but his Pluto in his 1st house is more power and control hungry than Kerry).  With Jupiter in Leo, Kerry is much more of a born leader than Bush but he can be just as egotistical.

Some big differences are that Kerry is courageous (who served in Vietnam and who didn't), honest and forthright - he is not hiding parts of his personality, his opinions or his personal agenda so what we see is what we get.  (no 12th hs.)

Kerry has five planets in mutable signs so he genuinely cares about the environment and the condition of the world that we leave to our progeny and his votes in Congress affirm this.

Conversely, Bush has only two planets in mutable signs and one of them is Mars in his 2nd house, which indicates that he cares mostly about the property he owns and the golf courses upon which he plays.

Contrast between the two abound:

The planets in Kerry's chart are more spread out than Bush's chart and Kerry has some oppositions.

These features mean that Kerry has more diversity than Bush and can more easily empathize.

The planets in Bush's chart form what we call a wedge or bundle - they occupy only one-third of the zodiac, which means that it is difficult for him to understand others and he is self-absorbed.

Another contrast between these two is that Kerry's chart has most of the planets above the horizon and most of them are in "open" signs so he is mostly an "open book."

All but one of the planets in Bush's chart are below the horizon or in the 12th house, making him highly secretive, fond of hidden agendas and he allows very few into his inner circle.  We do not see Bush as he really is, only the public persona.

from an interview with the Book's author, "Clive Smith" lawyer for 50 of them, about the Cameraman, on assignment with Al Jazeera when picked  up:

Eight o clock Ferry to the Windward......

CLIVE STAFFORD SMITH: Well, he is almost six years now in Guantanamo Bay. Sami Al-Haj is an Al Jazeera cameraman. I spent a lot of time with him, and I’ve investigated his case thoroughly. And look, he is no more a terrorist than my grandmother. But, you know, we don’t ask people to just accept that. All Sami wants is a fair trial, but, of course, he hasn’t got one.

I was down in Guantanamo just last week, and Sami, on the fifth anniversary of his detention by the United States—he’s a very patient guy—after five years, he went on hunger strike. And today, you know, as we sit here with our coffee, he hasn’t voluntarily eaten for 277 days.

And what I just discovered this week—I got it unclassified on Monday—the latest allegations against him. Every time they come up with something, we prove it’s nonsense. And yet, on September the 11th—this is the second time they’ve chosen September the 11th to do this—they alleged—and I’ve got it right here; I’m going to read it to make sure I’m accurate you—that the training that Sami received to become a supposed terrorist was, quote, “the detainee was trained by Al Jazeera in the use of cameras.?And that’s the sort depths, unfortunately, to which we’ve sunk in making allegations against people.

AMY GOODMAN: Explain how he was picked up.

CLIVE STAFFORD SMITH: Well, he was picked up on the border of Afghanistan when he was going in with the film crew—he’s the cameraman—to work with Al Jazeera, and they were working out of the same house as CNN. We can’t prove it, because, of course, it’s all secret, but the strong indications are that they picked him up because they thought he was the cameraman who filmed the Al Jazeera interview with bin Laden, because Taysir Alouni had been the correspondent and there was a guy called Sami as the cameraman. As has so often, sadly, been the case, they were wrong. Their intelligence was wrong. Sami wasn’t the person who did that. But by that time, he was in US custody, and he’s been there ever since, and his little seven-year-old son Mohammed hasn’t seen him for six years.

AMY GOODMAN: But even if he had been the cameraman that filmed the interview with Osama bin Laden, that’s not a basis to arrest somebody. John Miller, who’s the spokesperson for the FBI, or was for a while, interviewed Osama bin Laden when he was an ABC reporter.

CLIVE STAFFORD SMITH: I see you squirming a little as a journalist. And, of course, that’s right. But we were in court in the District of Columbia back in December 2004, and the issue came up about what the definition of “enemy combatant?was, and one of the hypotheticals that the judge posed was, if you, as a journalist, were the guy who interviewed bin Laden, and then you failed to tell the CIA where bin Laden was, would you be an enemy combatant? And, you know, that was one of the ones they wouldn’t rule out.

AMY GOODMAN: Wadah Khanfar is the managing director of Al Jazeera, and in February of 2006, Democracy Now! went to the headquarters of Al Jazeera in Doha. This is what he had to say about Sami Al-Haj at the time.

WADAH KHANFAR: For more than three years, he is still in Guantanamo Bay. And we have received some letters from him, you know, that goes through the, of course, American guards, but basically I would say that the issue of Sami al-Haj again has created that rift and that feeling that there are many things that have gone wrong in the relationship between the Arab world and the United States of America after the 11th of September.

We have been—I remember, as a journalist, before 2001, a lot of our Arab governments feared, you know, and they were very—it was difficult for them to jail a journalist, because they would say then that the Americans will make big voice, big loud voice about it, and they will condemn us. So they would respect a little bit of freedom of expression for us to act, because they don’t want to make big issue from the American civil society and organizations. Now, we have someone who is spending more than three years in jail, and we cannot even get any real explanation why he is there and what is the crime of Sami al-Haj to be held in Guantanamo.

AMY GOODMAN: I’m looking at the pamphlet that says Sami’s first interrogation at Guantanamo came after two days of sleep deprivation. Agents from the Pentagon, CIA, FBI were present, but as much as they wanted to extract incriminating evidence from Sami, they were as interested in gaining inside information about Al Jazeera and recruiting him as a spy both in Guantanamo and in the event of his release.

WADAH KHANFAR: How could we explain this? I mean, I have read this in the newspaper. The lawyer—I mean, the reporter who received that from the lawyer confirms this particular incident. He has been asked to spy on us. He has been asked to give information about the relation—the assumed relationship between Al Jazeera and al-Qaeda, during his coverage in Afghanistan. And the man is still in jail, and he did not give any information. And unfortunately, even they have, according to the reports that we received, he was told that if he gives this kind of information, he would be immediately discharged.

AMY GOODMAN: Wadah Khanfar, head of Al Jazeera. Clive Stafford Smith, you’re Sami al-Haj’s lawyer; your response?

CLIVE STAFFORD SMITH: Well, of course, I’ve been down to see Wadah, and I was cracking a joke in his office that I’d like to know the coordinates of it, because George Bush had just said he was going to bomb it. Wadah didn’t think that was very funny. And, unfortunately, you can see his point. And it’s a very sad moment when we in the United States get to the point of threatening one of the few organizations in the Middle East that is genuinely committed to free speech. You look before 9/11, the United States, even in the Bush administration, was a very strong supporter of Al Jazeera. And I am an admirer of them. And I think we should be in favor of free speech. And, you know, I’m glad for what you’re doing for Sami al-Haj, but Western journalists in general need to do more for this guy who’s locked up in Guantanamo.
