This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at The Oakland, 2006 Columbia Road, Washington, D.C., this 23rd day of October, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [707], new Active Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Dr. [688].

P R E S E N T

R E A D I N G

Born November 2, 1876, in Coosa County, Alabama. Time of Reading 10:00 to 10:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Life Reading Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those relations with the universe and universal forces, that are recorded and made by the entity now known as - or called - [707].

2. In giving that which may be helpful for the entity in its present development, much of every nature crowds in to be told; for the pages that are written, the influences that have borne upon the activities of the entity are many. These are as interpretations of that recorded here, which - if applied in the experience of the entity in the present - will bring those things into manifestations through activities that will be of helpfulness to the entity, as we see, in its soul development.

3. Not only do influences arise in the experience of the entity from astrological sojourns in the environs of this, our solar system - as we speak of those that are indwellers in the earth in the body, but also those from indwelling in the environs about the earth; about this sun, about those influences that bear upon the innate experiences that make for their own influence through the entity having experienced something in those environs.

 

Just in the same manner as the entity living in those environs in the earth in any single experience, that make for a change of surroundings, of speech, of those things that are as the vocabulary of the miner, the farmer, the rover, the shepherd. All of these have that which to each engaged in such is as the language, or the manner of expression to those as individuals, and expressing the personality of that environ.

 

So in a soul's indwelling in that to which the entity itself has passed, it becomes a portion. Whether conscious in a material world or unconscious of same, there come those periods when - as for this entity - there are those associations of those who are loosed from the physical body that, in those periods when the consciousness is partially or wholly submerged, come as those that would speak WITH the entity respecting those things of other climes, of other associations.

4. As to the interpretation of such, we, would give - as we find from the experience of the entity - that which may be helpful in the applications of those things that may be received by the entity at or during such experiences.

5. The astronomical, the numerological, the environs of the creations in the vibrations from metals, from stones, from those of every form, have - through the experience of the entity at times had their influence; and thus bear for the entity something that must be used as an omen, or as an experience that may aid the entity in making the proper interpretations of those things that to many an one are not lawful to be spoken in materiality - hence come only to those who have eyes to see, through the spiritual realms, or who have ears to hear the music of the spheres, the growing or the beauty in all the relationships to man that make for expressions of the divine that may be, and is, a portion of man's experience.

6. No man, no physical matter, has ever seen GOD at any time; only the MANIFESTATIONS of Him.

7. As to numbers, the two hundred and ninety-sixth day of the year - this brings eight as a VIBRATION for the entity that means an awakening within the inner self to the new possibilities, the new opportunities within self that may make for not only carrying with it the ABILITIES but the obligations of same as well. For to whom much is given in any manifested form, of him much is required. For THESE as we find, my son, are as the basic, elemental principles of truth itself. It is a growing thing, even as the knowledge of God, even as the knowledge of truth, even as the knowledge of life; which all are words, yet mean the variations of expressions of that YE, my son, would worship as a living God.

8. Hence we find the agate, the beryl, should be STONES with the vibrations and under the influence that the entity may find carrying an incense to the finer self that makes for an awakening, an opening of the inner self for the RECEPTIVENESS. And attunement is made through such vibrations, just as there may be with the tungsten in a portion of a vacuum that may raise those sound Waves that through their relativity of activity of the electrical vibration that makes for the activity of the atomic forces in same give that which is gathered from the ether waves. So may numbers and those vibrations from stones as given, with metals such as come in the lapis lazuli, make for the raising of the attunement in self through meditation. But know these, my child, are but means - and are NOT the God-Force, NOT the Spirit, but the MANIFESTATIONS of same.

9. As to the astrological forces, we find the sojourns of the entity bring INNATELY these as experiences that may or may not be awakened, according to that application of that understanding and knowledge that thou hast in hand; but are as the loam that may, with the soils, the dews, the sunshines that come through what is termed nature make for that place in which the seed sown may germinate and grow and magnify and become as expressions in themselves of that divine love that is shown by the All-Merciful-Creative Forces that manifest in and among the sons of men, that man may be glorified. And man then can only, in the affluence of self in his relation to his fellow man, glorify that Creative Force that makes for the growth in those souls that seek to know His face, that seek to know His biddings.

10. In Jupiter we find the great expanse of experience that has come, and with its benevolent influences makes for those expressions of love the entity has or may show in its dealings with its fellow man; making for those innate expressions of that which is of the magnificent, that is of those that - if turned into those directions of the earth- earthy - become ones with power, ones with strength, ones with AFFLUENCE in high and lowly places. As ye use same so does the growth or the knowledge of same come into thine experience.

11. From Venus and Uranus there are contradictory influences in the experience at times. Hence we find periods when the entity, through those activities and meditations in self, becomes wandering; losing that hold upon the strength that has raised, or that may - in its manifestations for its fellow man - become as a wonderment - and the entity doubts.

 

 Fears arise.  * *Cayce gives all a warning here!! about centering yourself, only in yourself!!

 

 If thou hast centered thy choice in self, be fearful!

 

If thou art centering self in Him who has walked the way of men, Him who has known all the vicissitudes of an earthly experience in all its environs, whether in the dungeons of the earth, the slavedriven individuals or the leaders among men that would make war and love the flow of blood that that within themselves might be made glorified - if thou art centered in Him, then be NOT afraid!

 

Yea, He has walked the streets with the rabble and has seen the flowing of the blessings that may come through making self humble! Yea, in the face and in the power of those that might save the body, He gave: "There is no power save that Creative Force we call God may give," that the soul may be raised, may be washed, may be white, may be cleansed that it may be in the presence of the Maker Himself! Art thou choosing this way? Thou knowest! Follow in His footsteps.

 

 Let Him ever speak, as He did to those that were afraid; yea, though they had walked with the paths of understanding, though they had seen within themselves, yet when troubles arose they became fearful within themselves.

 

He gave that which is as applicable today as it was from the beginning, "If ye will be my son, I will be thy Father-God. If ye will trust in me, I will not forsake thee."

 Though the heavens may fall, though the earth may pass away, thy spirit and thy faith in Him will NOT be shaken, for He abides with thee and hath given His angels charge concerning thee lest thou, in thy fury, in thine self, dash thine head, thine foot, against the stone.

12. Then, as to the appearances in the earth, these we find are many; yet THESE as we give here are those that influence thee the most in the present. SOME may be as a surprise to thee, yet thou hast known deep within thine self - through the emotions that have come to thee at times - these are a portion of thee!

13. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, about those portions of the land joining nigh unto the last birth place, in and about what is now known as Talladega.

14. Thou wert among the natives of the land that made for the first of the associations with thine white brethren that came into that portion of the land, thine own peoples in whose name thou hast come into the earth again. For with thine own present great grandfather in the flesh didst THOU then, as the medicine man of those people, make the first pact of brotherhood; for there the great camp of those people of that land was made - what is now about those little streams, thou in thine strength did set what was to those people - and as may be found intact in many places at present - the first of the conduits for the waters of that particular land, that brought HEALINGS to many that were afflicted with those things that made for the warding off of what is known as AGE in the present.

 

 And, as Tecum Tec, or The Rock - as was called by those above thee in the other lands, and those with whom thou did associate, thou did bring much of strength; for thy abilities to call forth the understanding of the happy hunting grounds, the rest places for those that made for the activities in bringing the greater of the understandings in seeking out. And, my son, that thou didst bury in the form of the gold, the jewels that were committed to thy care, is STILL buried there by the old well-pump, by the old spring- house, that thou with thine own hands set for thine peoples - and there is much of this world's goods with same.

15. In the present experience from same come the abilities to aid those in every form of activity that have been in thine experience; those abilities to again contact those from the other realms - that come from thine abilities to meditate DEEP within. Use these, not as for powers but rather as the servant of a living God that through all the forms of motion or life gives expression of His love to His children in the earth. Whether they be wayward, whether they be backward, whether they be this or that, those that seek may know His face.

16. Thou may use much of that thou preserved. Thou may use this in thine material aids. Thou may find the spiritual help that comes with the giving of self that others may know that which will bring peace and harmony in thine experience in this sojourn.

17. Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the Roman and the Grecian, in those periods when there were the gatherings of those that partook of those understandings, tenets and teachings of the man of Galilee.

18. The entity was among those that were His close followers, among those that knew the powers and the might of those influences in the experience; for the entity - with Paul, with Barnabas - learned of those manifestations that had come to the sons of men; suffering in body - as Silas, that ye have read of, that ye have loved as ye read, that ye have understood better than ye have many of those.

 

For thou wert the companion of Luke, and Mark - who was the recorder of the first of those things that were dictated by his own uncle, Peter, who gave to thee strength. Though in bonds, thou hast seen them fall away. Though in poverty, thou hast seen all the good things of the earth, all good things of the spirit, poured out upon the sons of men!

 

Hold thou, mine brother, mine friend, to those things that thou gavest to thy fellow man in that day! Let him that was thy guide, let him that was thy teacher, STILL come to thee.

 

Open again the doors that thou may see the glories of the Lord as thou usest thy voice, as thou raisest that night in the prison when the doors were opened, as thou sawest the Romans made afraid. Then may thou feel within thine inner self those bonds of doubt and fear, that have at times taken possession of thee, fade even as the darkness from those prison walls faded - as there was the light of the countenance of the Son of man that makes men free indeed shed abroad in thine self in that body thou wore during that experience. SUCH GLORY that the bars were severed, the doors were opened, and all spoke the GLORY of God!

 

Thou may make manifest such in this material world, wilt thou HOLD FAST to that thou hast gained in that experience as Silas, the helpmeet of him to whom was given the keys of the kingdom in the earth, who made that declaration of all declarations to his brethren as they walked, "Thou art Him who has been sent from God that we might know that His love may sustain men in their trials, in their tribulations, in their joys, in their sorrows, in their weakness; yea, even in their might. Thou, O God, ART the Giver of life, and light, and understanding!" HOLD to that, my friend, my brother.

Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the Persian, during those periods when there were those that were gathering for the teacher that had arisen in the desert and the hills; the nomads, those that had made for the combining of the strength of Egypt with the mysteries thereof with the glories of the Indians and the mysteries and the seasons thereof.

20. The entity was the father to that leader that had chosen to bring about such a union, in the name Eujueltd; hence the father of Uhjltd that rose to strength.

21. This entity then was of those that had been the leaders in the desert, that had with the helpmeet chosen that their bodies might become the channels for that through which a manifestation might come to the sons of men, in that son Uhjltd.

 The ENTITY forsook the ways, with the bodily forces that came through Oujida and the other sons, yet with the establishing again - though broken in body, though turbulent in self through the trials that had been taken on through those periods of oppression and depression, came again to the son for the help, the aid; and the new awakening came to the entity.

And there arose power and might in the abilities of same to lay on of hands that brought healing in their strength, through that which had been gained from same.

22. In the present may the entity understand and gain that, though the powers are manifest of all natures in the earth, they are the gift of the ONE God, of the ONE universal force; and MAN alone makes those deviations for self's own purposes, self's own aggrandizement. But His promises are sure, "Though ye be far away, when ye call I will hear." And the power that thou may raise within thine self to bring is not of thine own making; thou art but the channel. Give the praise, my son, to the Father THROUGH the Son of light, THROUGH the Son of man, the lowly Nazarene!

23. Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the Egyptian, during those periods when there were the rise and the turmoils through the Priest's activity.

24. The entity then was among the natives that rose in rebellion, yet - as there was the reestablishing of the Priest that brought to the common peoples and to all those that would harken the greater knowledge of the relationships of man to man being but the manifestation of the Father to the sons of men - the entity became among the priests that aided in the Temple of Sacrifice, and those that guarded in the Temple Beautiful; rising to those positions or powers through the abilities of the entity to assist in the disseminations of those tenets that were gathered from time to time - and thus was in the name Roi-Too.

25. In the present from that experience those things that are of rote find SOMETHING of a harkening that is not always understood, bringing within self those abilities for the dissemination of that which is as an experience of good in self.

26. Then, as to that to which the entity may attain in the present, and how:

Study, STUDY - as thou didst in the Macedonian land, as thou did in those periods when ye sought to know the man acquainted with grief, yet a POWER of might, a man among men - Him that walked in Galilee, Him that defied all the Romans' influence, He that defied even His brethren in the Sanhedrin, He that aided in making the paths straight that they that walked therein might know the light and the truth! THOU, in thine self, then, may help thy fellow man. The soul's awakening, whether from the body or the body from without, must FIND expression from WITHIN. For THERE has He promised to meet thee, in the mount of thine OWN self! Hence give - GIVE - give of self's strength that thou may have life, and having life have it more abundantly in Him. For thy abilities are many. Make of them that which is more and more the manifestation of thy Lord.

29. (Q) About how much time have I spent in reincarnation up to the present time?
(A) Almost in all the cycles that have had the incoming from period to period hast thou dwelt. Thine first incoming in the earth was during those periods of the Atlanteans that made for the divisions. Hence, counting in time, some twenty thousand years.

30. (Q) What degree of psychic power have I, if any?

(A) Degree? HARDLY, my friend, may these powers be called DEGREES! For there is the raising within self of those influences that may make known even the MYSTERIES of old. But let these be tempered, my brother, with those truths thou gained in that prison wall. The abilities to heal, the abilities to teach, the abilities to minister, ALL are thine! As to degrees - to the nth; yea, to the tenth degree may they be manifest in thee!

31. (Q) Do I have the power of trance mediumship in any form?

(A) ALL forms! But use rather that as thou seest in thy Lord, thy Master, thy God!

somewhere in that reading, Cayce tells the man, he was born once again, (in this lifetime), in the same region he had lived before, as an American Indian.....an Indian who had healing capabilites:

see parag. 13,14, 15 for that lifetime. And how it may relate to this lifetime for him.

 

 

 

It's really interesting too, when I checked for Coosa County Alabama, Wikipedia said it was a very small town (under 10,000?)

mostly Indians in this lifetime (he was born 1876 there)

 As of 2000 the population was 12,202, but since that time it has lost the most population by percentage of any Alabama county. Its county seat is Rockford.
