As each U.S.President does, they build after their term a Edifice to themselves, such as the Ancient Roman Emperors did, a Memorial just for their memory & egos.

In this case Pres. G.W.Bush will build the largest and most expensive such Memorial EVER in history!

As such, no doubt,  his advisors, like his daddy & Laura, (maybe even Barney the dog), reminded him he only has less then 12 months to redeem his own memory to the American people for History, of which he has spoken of often, "his place in history".

So of course, it's not a surpise to find he is visiting Israel today, as well as the Palestinian land of Bethlehem, calling NOW, for a Return to Palestine, their OWN STOLEN and occupied lands, to the Pre-
1967 Borders!

This is NOT a case of getting a conscience, but a clear case of
self-aggrandizement for  History for the G.W. Bush family.

What a waste............as though Israel would even consider such a notion!!

And what a Laughas though G.W. Bush or America's W.H. under his reign would even force them thru economics or any other way.

Just a real joke of a trip & wasted breath, IMO.

Gee - ONLY 7 years later!!!...........what's up?  Must be time for the Presidential Library to be thought of.
one's history as a war monger or a Jimmy Carter call to justice?

Incentive for Israel??.   Give back all the stolen lands and dismantle all their settlements?

Yeah- right!!

Bush urges Israeli occupation end

US President George W Bush has said Israel must end occupation of Arab land to enable the creation of a viable Palestinian state.

He also urged a solution to the issue of Palestinian refugees that would involve paying them compensation.

It is thought to be Mr Bush's strongest public statement pressing Israel to give up land it seized in the 1967 war.

He was speaking in Jerusalem following two days of separate talks with Israeli

This week US President George W. Bush embarks on a tour of some of the US' Middle East allies, including his first visit while in office to Israel. The trip has been presaged by a lot of media guesswork about what exactly Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will discuss, and one of the likely topics will apparently be the so-called "illegal outposts." [1]

The New York Times last Saturday reported remarks made by Bush in an interview with Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot about the need for Israel to dismantle these outposts and the apparent "awkward" nature of the issue for both US and Israeli governments. [2] However, the issue of outposts -- framed as Bush forcing a reticent Israeli administration to compromise for the sake of peace -- risks clouding far more crucial issues that go to the heart of the conflict.

"Settler outposts" refer to sites scattered around the West Bank where Zionist Jews have established often as little as a tent or a caravan, as part of the wider effort to colonize "Judea and Samaria." [3] They are "illegal" in the sense that they have been established without the official authorization of the Israeli state (although it has been alleged sometimes with the collusion of individual officials). [4]

The language of illegality with regards to the outposts serves as a deliberate distraction from the main colony blocs, many of which began life as mere "outposts." The contrast in scale with these large-scale settlements, illegal under international law, is something that even The New York Times, in the aforementioned article, alludes to:

"... the population of the outposts Israel considers illegal is tiny compared with the 65,000 or so Israelis living in the settlements beyond the barrier, let alone the 465,000 Israelis living beyond the country's 1967 boundaries in settlements and in East Jerusalem."

and from the Palestinian's point of view:

NOTE; THERE 'ARE' TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY!

Today, the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, are facing a looming genocide at the hands of the Nazis of our time. This looming genocide, a preview of which is already being demonstrated for quite sometime, could be affected in collusion with several parties, including the nefarious American administration, the whoring European Union and, of course, the quisling-like Palestinian Authority based in Ramallah.

Hence, Palestinians and their friends must never indulge in too much of wishful thinking by miscalculating that the world public opinion would prevent Israel from going too far.

Well, the world public opinion has been dead for a long time.

And the influential powers in this world, e.g. those states that are capable of pressuring Israel, are part of the problem and can’t be part of the solution.

The US, for example, which invaded and destroyed two Muslim nations and killed or caused the death of a million innocent Muslims, all under the mendacious rubric of the war on terror, will not seriously object to having Israel kill a million or two million Palestinians under the equally mendacious rubric of “self defense?and “preserving Israel as a Jewish state.?BR>
Yes, we may not exactly be in 1939-Germany. But the evilness, the nefariousness and utter criminality of the world’s two most evil states in the world, the US and Israel, are almost identical to the evilness of the Nazi leadership.

For these reasons, the Palestinians must give more attention and devote more efforts to securing our physical survival as a people, a survival that we no longer can take for granted, given the Nazi nature of our oppressors.

A few days ago, an Israeli cabinet minister threatened a genocide against Israel’s own non-Jewish citizens.

This minister was quoted as saying that “those who keep invoking the Nakba, a new Nakba shall fall on their heads.?BR>
This is very much like a Nazi leader warning that “those who keep invoking the holocaust, a new holocaust will fall on their heads.?BR>
For these reasons, Palestinians must exercise utmost wisdom in order not to give the Nazis of our time (the Zionist regime) a pretext to exterminate our people, which could happen, even with the enthusiastic blessings of Washington and the capitals of Europe.
