From another site I belong to, I've learned that MSN Groups will be closing at the end of February 2009.
It would probably be a great deal of work to start up another site on a new service. However, if there's enough interest, my other group is currently exploring some possible alternatives, and I could likely point us in a direction.

I'm looking at a few possibilities for a new site.  We still have a fair bit of time and there's a new one "Windows Live" coming out in November that I'd also like to check out.
Because we are a private site here we have not been troubled by all sorts of spam postings as many groups have been. So if we move I would want it to also be a private site with membership restricted to invited persons only. To make that work I would need you all to check your email addresses as listed in the members section and make sure you keep them up to date so that when I got a new site set up I would be able to invite you all to join it.
