Hi, everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer.  It has been unbelievably hot and dry here (just south of Edmonton).  In fact, it's been so bad that we are considered an "Extreme Fire Hazard" area and there is a mandatory water ban for Edmonton and area.  It seems hard to believe that only a couple of hours south of here they are having a very wet summer!

Well, my little princess, Danielle, is now 14 months old (how time flies)!  She is running and trying to talk.  It's embarrassing to take her anywhere these days as she is covered in bruises!  In fact, today she badly bruised her nose just by running face-first into the sofa!  For those of you who are interested, I've attached a recent picture of her taken in Creston, BC at her grandparents' place.

As far as a career is concerned, I was presented with the opportunity of a lifetime in May that I just couldn't refuse.  I hadn't planned to return to work for a while as I had started my own business (as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant) just to be able to stay home with my little girl.  However, when I received an offer from Nestle Canada Inc. for a sales position as an "Infant Nutrition Specialist", I just couldn't refuse.  It is so interesting and it's great to be back detailing physicians!  The best part is, it's part time so I don't have to put Danielle in a day home for more than 3 days a week!

I hope that all of you have also had success in finding the career of your dreams since DuPont Pharma.  I will be in Ontario quite a bit in the next 6 months so please keep me posted of any lunch get-togethers.  I would love to be able to catch up with some of you again.

Take care,

Michele Douglas

Michele:
Great pictures!  Isn't amazing how time goes so quick.  Congrats on your new position.
I must say however that unless you just didn't choose the right picture to post for the birthday, you have broken with a time honoured tradition.  The chocolate in a first birthday picture is meant to be smeared all over the baby's face as in
"Wow, you mean I get to do this every year for the rest of my life!"
Just kidding!
