ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT- IMMUNOLOGY

CLINICAL RESEARCH

Fujisawa Canada is currently searching for an Administrative Assistant for our Clinical Research-Transplantation group. Reporting to Ralph Ferguson, Assistant Director, Immunology, the successful candidate will be responsible for the support of the clinical research local immunology study team and including responsibility for but not limited to:

Ø Following SOPs ensures the timely and accurate logging and filing of assigned clinical study documents and participates in ongoing Quality Control checks as directed by Project Leaders and/or Clinical Operations Manager.

Ø Plans, prioritizes and organizes daily administrative workload requirements including investigator and internal meetings to be organized in order to meet departmental deadlines for assigned clinical projects.

Ø Prepares study initiation binders with clinical study materials and also prepares other correspondence and information for investigational study sites throughout the studies.

Ø Supports the Clinical Trials Transplant Team of five in-house professionals and approximately eight part-time, off-site contract staff.

The key skills and experience required include:

1. Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power-point and Adobe document systems. Knowledge of MS-Project preferred.

2. 2-3 years secretarial experience with direct experience in clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry.

3. Familiarity with Clinical/Medical filing systems.

4. Ability to work in a constantly changing environment with many priorities. Must be a strong team player, flexible with the ability to multitask. Strong organizational skills.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills, required.

6. Ability to work with individuals within and external to company.
