Stormcrow : (Everyone wisper me a short char sheet. and describe your char to the others. We'll be starting in the tavern.)

Arashi_Ken2 : (ok ).

Stormcrow / The twisted root tavern is buisy this summers eveing. The night sky is cloudy and its threatening rain outside. Jarlosh and Holga rush about the Tavern serving the hungry patrons.

Arashi_Ken2 : (i'm sorry, i can't stay. something came up. maybe another night)

Angel_Light_Wizard *A young, blonde haired human girl sat at a corner solitary table. She is 20 years old, and very athletic. She wears a short, flowing white robe, lined with a white silk belt etched with runes, and carring an oaken staff with a saphfire colored orb init

Angel_Light_Wizard *She sits there reading an old book, and sipping on some water.

Stormcrow / several farmers and peasants crowd the tavern speaking of the days work, and any strange happenings. A lot of them exchange stories of circulating rumors. None can be verified.

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze sits in the rafters puffing on his pipe, relaxing in the shadows. only the glow of his pipe embers are seen

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn steps in the tavern, her staff following her. she goes and sits down at Angels table

Stormcrow / The town cryer enters the doors, and posts a poster on the wall. He can barely get it up before being crowded by a mob of people trying to read it. Several gasps and wispers erupt from the bulletin board as they read it.

Angel_Light_Wizard closes the old book, marking her space, and sets it back in her bag, before seeing the cryer and gets curious

Stormcrow / The post describes a group of adenturers that entered the tunnels earlier yesterday. Only one returned, and shortly died afterwards. He mentioned a story about a wizard underground. But thats all that was said.

Kaze_Deatharcher : "i thought i sealed up the tunnels"

Stormcrow There is a reward to anyone who can determin if the rumor is truth or false. 1000 GP.

Angel_Light_Wizard : "Appariently not." Angel said looking in the direction of the voice

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn looks up and sees Kaze jump down from the rafters.

Kaze_Deatharcher dawn jumps slightly

Angel_Light_Wizard steps back to allow him room

Kaze_Deatharcher : I'm going to go and see whats going on. Dawn, Angel you want to accompany me? i'll let you keep the reward money.

Stormcrow / Jarlosh nods tward Kaze. Yep, and like I said... the mages reopened it. They want to explore it, not seal it."

Angel_Light_Wizard : "umm.. ok." Angel said, "Sure."

Kaze_Deatharcher : "jar, next time you see any of the mages tell them to find me. Cause i'm going to close if down"

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze lights a match and lights his pipe and blows the flame out

Stormcrow Jarlosh holds out the familiar key. "youll need this."

Kaze_Deatharcher DAwn nods greedily to the money

Kaze_Deatharcher kaze takes the key. "Jar, i'm serious. tell the mages that i'm closing the tunnels down. there to dangerious. to many hot headed novice adventurers has lost there lives in the tunnels."

Angel_Light_Wizard walks back over to gather her things, wrapping her White hooded cloak around her, and returning to Kaze's side, staff in hand

Stormcrow / Jarlosh shakes his head... "I doubt theyll listen.... but Ill say somethin. I dont think youll find anything anyway. What would a wizard be doing in the tunnels."

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn follows Angel grabbing her staff then going to Kaze

Kaze_Deatharcher : "i dunno, but i'm going to flatten them."

Angel_Light_Wizard : " I overheard my master say there were powerful things in those tunnels?" Angel sighs, " But I know not what?"

Stormcrow Jarlosh nods and smiles... "Good luck to all of you then." he then goes back to servin patrons.

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze opens the door for the two ladies and walks out after them

Angel_Light_Wizard steps out into the open air

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawns steps out thanking him. Kaze starts walking back to the tunnels

Angel_Light_Wizard stays close, following the two towards the tunnels

Stormcrow The group reaches the tunnels where the bent and battered Gate covers the dark enterance. Since its night time, the tunnels look even darker inside.

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze examins the gate

Angel_Light_Wizard : " I will take the rear upon entrance, since my staff emits light, it will effect your elven infravision." She says

Kaze_Deatharcher : "i dont remember them being like this

Stormcrow /They can only see about 20 feet inside. Infra vision is strangely halfed. (60 ft infra, is now 30 ft infra.)

Kaze_Deatharcher : "As will i" Dawn says as he staff emmits light

Angel_Light_Wizard summons her saphfire orb to emit it's radiant light

Kaze_Deatharcher : (are there any evidence of Kazes barriers?

Stormcrow : (no barriers. Only the gate.)

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze opens the gate and lets the ladies in then relocks it.

Angel_Light_Wizard examins the gate one last time, before starting down the stairs

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn steps through her staffs gem glowing brightly. (do you know the rad. of continual light?)

Angel_Light_Wizard : (checking, hold on)

Stormcrow / With a little force, Kaze opens the Gate and enters. The ladies sense a strange magic apon entering. On each side of the wall are two opposing glyphs painted in what looks like blood.

Angel_Light_Wizard shudders with a chill

Stormcrow /They are about 30 feet inside.

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn brings her staff up by it. "Kaze look at this."

Angel_Light_Wizard : (the radius of continual light is 60 feet,or 120 foot diameter)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (from kazes experience will he know what the symbol is or will beable to read it?)

Stormcrow /All around are creepy crawly insects, and critters. The nasty freaky looking kind crawing on the walls cieling, and even under the sandy floor.

Stormcrow : (Read Magic?)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (he has that)

Angel_Light_Wizard : examins the glyph on the other side, identifying it with her read magic spell

Stormcrow / Kaze casts Read Magic, and can read the glyphs. They are alarm glyphs. Someone wants to know when someone enters here.

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn jumps and squeels seeing the bugs

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze attempts to dispell it

Stormcrow : (roll a d20 Kaze.)

Stormcrow : Kaze casts Dispell Magic at the Glyphs... an electrical arc flies out and zapps him as he goes flying backward. The glyph remains.

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze chuckles and stands up

Angel_Light_Wizard turns in time to catch Kaze flying at her (since she was standing behind him)

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze dusts off his shirt and continues down. "they know where here."

Angel_Light_Wizard situates her staff to give adquate light, and follows

Stormcrow / The glyphs pulse slightly as each passes between them, and the group continues on down the dark tunnel.

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn follows try to stay away from the bugs

Angel_Light_Wizard keeps a watchful eye out for anything out of the ordinary

Stormcrow ?They walk for another 100 yrds through the 20 foot highX30ftwide tunnels. They reach a split in the tunnels. Kaze has been down the left one already.

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze checks for the fresh tracks

Stormcrow Kaze searches the ground, and finds several new tracks. A group of five humanoid siize boots leads down the right tunnel. One set of bloody ones leads back out.

Kaze_Deatharcher Heads down the right tunnel. Kaze turns himself impr inv. and non detect as he continues down the hall. (move silent and hide in shadows aswell)

Stormcrow / Kaze vanishes from the two ladies sight as he continues down the right tunnel. It travels downward slightly and turns tightly around a couple bends for about 2 miles. The group then come up to a dead end. No other tunnel is evident leading on.

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze starts checking the walls for secret doors. (detect invisibility and Illusion)

Angel_Light_Wizard walks up to the wall and examins it, and the ground around it

Stormcrow / Kaze and Angel search the walls. They both find the fake wall at the end. A powerful illusion spell hides the tunnel.

Angel_Light_Wizard motions for dawn to come

Stormcrow All three walk through the wall and into the tunnel beyond it. They can see it continues on downward. They get about 20 feet from it, and they all walk right into quicksand, instantly sinking to their waists.

Angel_Light_Wizard activates her staff's power of telekinesis to try and pull herself out

Stormcrow / Kaze and Dawn levetate up above the quicksand, while Angel uses her staff. They all float above the quicksand, and feel something hitting their head and shoulders. They quickly find out what is is. The entire cieling is covered with small spiders.

Stormcrow /The spiders drop down on them suspended by their webs,

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn screams

Angel_Light_Wizard tries to swat them away

Stormcrow Kaze uses fire, which helps to keep them from comming down on him. The two girls swat and swing at the tiny one inch bugs as more and more drop on them. (Dawn and Angle take 1 dmg from bites.)

Angel_Light_Wizard quickly looks for a place to set herself down, that is solid

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze blows ing the flame and created the illusion of a burst of flame and plays with the spiders

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn trys to find a place to sit aswell

Stormcrow / The floor looks the same, over the quicksand, and the rest of the tunnels. Its hard to tell how far it goes. Telekenesis can move her from side to side as she searches for an edge. Dawn and Kaze are stuck. levitation only goes up and down.

Stormcrow Kaze burns away a lot of the spiders, and frightens away even more, they scatter by the thousands as they head for cracks and crevases.

Angel_Light_Wizard (i guess is in the lead) She continues to search for a place to land, keeping the spiders at bay as best she can.

Stormcrow (Dawn and Angel take 1 pt dmg again.) Angel continues to search for an edge, bearing the biting bugs for the moment. She finally finds one over 30 ft away, and lands there safely. Kaze grabs Dawn and they fly over to Angle.

Angel_Light_Wizard with out a second thought, she lands, turning her telkinetic staff powers against the spiders to push them away from Kaze and Dawn

Stormcrow Unfortunatly they dont get much time to knock off the bugs, as four drow warriors appear out of thin air. (Magic) and attack the group. (Combat begins. Roll d10 for initiative. and state one action. Go!)

Stormcrow : (nm you all go, then Ill go. itll be faster this way.)

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze fires 2 arrows at two of the drows

Angel_Light_Wizard (*Roll: 5) Angel turns in time to see the Drow. " By the stars!" She exclaims as she readies her staff and stands at the ready, preparing her spells of combat

Kaze_Deatharcher : (ack afk)

Stormcrow : (need dawns action.)

Kaze_Deatharcher DAwn casts parilization ray from her staff

Stormcrow / The drow were expecting an attack it seems and are protected by magic. Kazes arrows skip off their skin like they hit stone. Dawns spell hits a drow...(rolls...89%) and makes it through their tough magic resistance. That drow freezes in place.

Angel_Light_Wizard "Magic barriers" Angel says to the others. " What to do?"

Stormcrow / The other three attack Kaze simultNIOUSLY. Each slashing with deadly rapiers dripping with a dark liquid. Two miss the agile Kaze, but one nicks his arm doing 5 dmg. (Kaze save vs poison.)

Stormcrow : (Angel has seen this spell before. It is stoneskin. They need to be hit more, and it will runn out. Then they can be damaged,)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (needed 4 got 18 made it)

Stormcrow : (Next round Go!)

Angel_Light_Wizard : "Guys, that is stoneskin they are protected by, Kaze, your arrows will bounce off." She says "But Drow are not wizards, so this spell is not of them."

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze drops his bow quickdrawing Tanglelance and his dagger. With the draw he slashes the first drow in the midsection with Tanglelance (midsection slayer) Kaze then from quickdrawing his dagger launches it at the next drow, a thin line seems to be

Kaze_Deatharcher attached to the pomel of the dagger (sharpness)

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn pulls her sword in the other hand and attemps to coup de grace the parilized drow

Angel_Light_Wizard : "andur vandat" Angel says as she casts a spell at the drow on the left of Kaze

Stormcrow Kaze slashes to no avail at the drow in front of him. his first two attacks bouncing off again by the stoneskin spell. Dawn attacks the paralized one, but he too is protected, and the attacks fail to draw blood. Angel casts Dispel magic...(roll...16.)....

Stormcrow /... that drow has an aura appear, and then shatter. The three drow attack the most formidible again, all going for Kaze. Two miss him again, as one gets through with a dagger. (3Dmg)(save vs poison.)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (5, made it)

Stormcrow : (k next round. Go!)

Angel_Light_Wizard sees the aura of magic and silently congradulates herself. She has found her focus, and encites the spell of Magic Missles at the unstoned drow

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze pulls on the string to make the dagger comeback to hand and he spins in attack taking tanglelance to its midsection again and launching the dagger once more

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn makes another attempt

Stormcrow / Angels missles blast into the surprised drow sending him flying away from kaze in a ball of smoke. Dawn attacks the droa again... her second attack gets through, having dwindled the spell down. Kaze slashes again at the same drow. all attacks hit.....

Stormcrow ... the drow falls backward and falls in two pieces, cut in half. Dawn only damages hers. hes not dead yet. (next round. Go!)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (you forgot Kazes dagger, he threw it)

Stormcrow : (all attacks hit, so its stuck in him then.)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (ok )

Stormcrow : (next round actions please.)

Angel_Light_Wizard turns her attenting to the surprized drow, she summons her staff's telekinetic powers to lift the drow and slam him into the nearest wall with a vengance

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze goes and kicks the drows rapier in the quicksand then reaches down and picks him up by the neck slaming him against the wall

Kaze_Deatharcher : (lol same thoughs there jake?)

Angel_Light_Wizard : (well, not being much of a fighter, I needed something.)

Stormcrow / Angle bashes a drow against the wall with her staff powers. Blood drops from his broken face, but hes still conciouse. Dawn slamms hers again with her staff, and caves in its head, killing it instantly. Kaze grabs out at the last on by him, but....

Stormcrow /.... the slippery drow dodges him, and slashes back with his sword. Kaze takes a gut hit, as the rapier hits hard (nat20, max dmg.)(next round. Go!)

Stormcrow : (kaze takes 15 dmg)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (i kicked the rapier into the quicksand i thoiugh they only had 1 rapier on dagger)

Stormcrow : (Only the downed ones lose thier swords. This one is still standing. unscathed.)

Kaze_Deatharcher : ok)

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze growls evily as he draws a figure in the air (symbol of pain)

Stormcrow : ( these drow are knights of Guanador if anyone is interested. They are not Lolth drow.)

Angel_Light_Wizard Seeing her foe is unconcious, and Dawn take her's down, she notices that the drow near Kaze attacked him. She summons up another round of Magic Missles to take out that drow

Kaze_Deatharcher dawn puts up a wall of force so it cant run

Stormcrow / Kaze draws a symbol of pain...(rolls...46%) the drow looks at it but seems unneffected by it. The other, Dawn and Angle need to save as well vs spell. Angles mgaic missle fire at the remaining drow near Kaze...(rolls...23%) her spell disapates inches...

Stormcrow /... from the drow. Dawn casts wall of force, (further down the tunnel?) blocking the tunnel.)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (blocking excape)

Stormcrow : (ok. nex round. Dawn and Angel must save vs spell first. then Go!)

Angel_Light_Wizard : (save needed 10: roll 12+1 (wiz) = 13 made it)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (needed12 roll 10+2=12 made it)

Stormcrow : (excellent. They resist Kazes symbol and can act normally.)

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze casts anti-magic shell around himself and goes for the drow again. (+2 or lower weapons cant go through his armor)

Stormcrow : (one action Kaze. Casting a spell takes your turn.)

Angel_Light_Wizard tries one last time to use her staff's tk power, this time, the focus is the Drow's rapier. She will attempt to hold it taunt and un-moveable

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn will focus on her wall so nothing can get through

Stormcrow / Kaze casts a spell, and his amulet activates automaticly. Angel tries to focus her staff powers on the remaining drows sword, but he is inside a barrier that Kaze created, and it doesnt enter. Dawn concentrates on her spell. The drow.....

Stormcrow / ...backs off, and tries to run. it smaks into Dawns wall, and knocks himself out. (Emd Combat.)

Stormcrow : (lol. sucks to be drow tonight. lol)

Angel_Light_Wizard sees the drow knock himself out, and then stands down. She rushes over to inspect Kaze's cut.

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze walks over and grabs the drow, and pics him up (expecially him)

Angel_Light_Wizard stops when he starts walking towards the drow and watches

Stormcrow : (he looks out cold. A knot starting to rise on his forhead.)

Kaze_Deatharcher pulls a potion of light cure and dumps half of it down his neck to bring him countious

Stormcrow / The drow wakes up spitting up, and caughing the liquid.

Angel_Light_Wizard activates her amulet of regen

Kaze_Deatharcher when he wakes up kaze grabs his neck and picks him up slamming him off the wall to wake him up full

Kaze_Deatharcher : (in underdark) What is you buisness down here drow

Angel_Light_Wizard : (thats Undercommon) LOL

Stormcrow /The drow groans in pain, and spits in Kazes face. Cursing him in Drow toungue. "F*** you elven scum!!"

Kaze_Deatharcher : (thanks i forgot)

Kaze_Deatharcher : "wrong answer"

Kaze_Deatharcher kaze decks him in the jaw then picks him up again slaming him again

Kaze_Deatharcher : "WHAT YOUR BUISNESS HERE!"

Stormcrow / (rolls... 36%) the drows head lolls like he was about KOed again. He barely comprehends Kazes words... "Rache..." .. is all he gets out as his bidy starts to puff out painfully, and getys bigger and bigger like hes gonna explode.

Stormcrow : *body

Kaze_Deatharcher : (he is in anti-magic shell, you know that right?)

Stormcrow : Yep. this is alchemy)

Kaze_Deatharcher grabs him and rolls using his legs to throw him into the quicksand

Kaze_Deatharcher : Legs and arm strength^)

Stormcrow The drows body hits the quick sand, and sinks. After it dissapears, a big bubble surfaces.

Stormcrow : (all well in the tunnel. all drow are dead.)

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze drinks a potion of heal and walks not having a care. He seems to walk right through Dawns wall. Dawn looks shocked and brings it down so her and Angel can go threw. Kaze dissapears again (same as before and i'm keeping this shell up for now)

Angel_Light_Wizard : " Are you ok Dawn?" She asks before noticing that Kaze is gone. " Oh, " sigh..

Kaze_Deatharcher : "yes i'm fine"

Kaze_Deatharcher kaze comes back through and grabs his equiptment that was dropped on the ground

Angel_Light_Wizard : follows the hallway, keeping an eye out for any traps

Stormcrow / They all continue down the tunnel for another mile, and it opens into a large room. This room has 50 foot cieling, and is about 100 ft wide. It has several flaming braziers lighting up the room at the edges. Another tunnel leads on on the opposite side.

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze then follows them, his bow on his back. he goes up to the front. (anytime you see fit, tell me when kaze spot traps cause as a thief he is spotting for them)

Kaze_Deatharcher (detect inv. Detect illusions)

Stormcrow / However a blockade is set up. A large wall os spiked iron blocks the tunnel. Arrow slits are cut into it and can be seen from here.

Stormcrow (gotcha Kaze. Everthing looksvery real. and trap free.)

Angel_Light_Wizard : " I don't like this." Angel says to everyone silently

Kaze_Deatharcher dawn pulls out her spell book, keeping out of sight. she goes through her book and casts Clairavoyance using the gem on her staff to see. trying to spot past the gates

Angel_Light_Wizard :

Angel_Light_Wizard : ( brb)

Stormcrow ( Dawn sees six drow archer waiting by the slits, ready to fire on you all when you get close enough)

Kaze_Deatharcher : (sorry if i got you annoyed, but i'm just playing Kaze, the way i play him. sorry if i'm being a pain )

Stormcrow : (Im not annoyed. Your doing fine.)

Kaze_Deatharcher : thereare six drow archers past those doors, and they know were here." dawn says

Kaze_Deatharcher dawn puts her book away

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze calls upon the double bow and fires 6 arrows trying to get them all in through the slits. (backstab on all if possible)

Angel_Light_Wizard Angel readies to do something drastic.

Stormcrow Kazes arrows fly for the arrows slits, but bouce off as if hitting something solid. The drow all fire back. Twelve arrows shower down on the group. Dawn is hit by one (4dmg), Angel is hit by two (8dmg), and Kaze is hit by one, but it bounces off his armor

Stormcrow (Kaze knows there is a protection from missles on the wall. They can leave, but not enter.)

Angel_Light_Wizard sees the arrows and motions for Kaze and Dawn to get behind her. She gestures a spell in the air, calling upon the air. She then launches the spell directly on the wall

Kaze_Deatharcher Dawn yells grabbing her leg as she sends forth a bolt of lightning aiming it at one of the slits

Stormcrow / the wall electrifies, and soaks up the electrical energy. Angels lightningbolt courses through the wall, and onto the warriors metal armor on the other side. Several screams are heard, and flames can be seen through the slits on the other side.

Stormcrow / sickening popping noises are heard, and soon a smell of burnt flesh creeps out to them. All goes quiet.

Angel_Light_Wizard readies another shot if necessary

Kaze_Deatharcher going with the idea Kaze casts Chainlightning

Stormcrow / Kazes spell incenerates anything that was once alive on the other side. the door gets soo hot, it melts inplace. leaving an opening halfway up the wall 25 feet.

Kaze_Deatharcher (has a clint eastwood moment..."you wern't lucky punk")

Angel_Light_Wizard stands down

Kaze_Deatharcher Kaze helps Dawn up
