Tierra had taken a few days to just lounge around the house after the confrontation with Tuvak. She didn't want to be bothered by anyone, and she felt that she needed some personal time with Corax. She took this time to decorate the cottage. She made adjustments to the way the cottage was shaped, and put an arbor on the shaded portion of the house. She took extra specail care to make sure that the house would soon feel more like a home to Corax. She put vining plants on the arbor, and set lovely flowering trees to the  sides, making the arbor one that would appeal to the both of them.

On the day that she finally finished the arbor, she smiled to herself, and brought out a small table, big enough for two. She wanted to surprise Corax with a lovely meal, so she had sent him off to the market to get a few things. She didn't tell him that she just wanted to get rid of him so that she could get things prepared. She called on Diedra to come help her prepare a specail meal, and when the meal was ready, Diedra left wishing her the best of the evening.

Tierra soon there after went to prepare herself for the evening.  She took out light summer dress made of deep blue. She pulled back her hair, just above the nape of her neck, and then she went off to get the table set. Once done, she then walked back to her room, and removed a package from a drawer. She walked to Corax's room, and place the package on the bed. Once opened Corax would find a light suit of hand woven silk, in midnight blue, a color which Tierra thought would flatter him. She then contacted him.

Corax, come on home. I'm waiting.

She then went ahead and put everything out, put out some candles and got ready. This would be a special night for the two of them.

Tierra smiled, put down her empty glass, and began to eat her meal. She would steal glances at Corax every now and then, looking at him lovinly and knowning that this was something truly special. She looked up into the sky and smiled up at the moon. Her mother had always said, "There is always someone special for you, and he's watching the same moon that you see. And the day you see the same moon together, then you shall truly find your love, little one." Tierra put down her fork and looked over to Corax. She smiled, feeling butterflies fluttering in her stomach. She breathed deeply, trying to calm herself. Something within her seemed to be stirring. In order to not lose herself, she stood and walked into the kitchen. She returned with a small basket. She looked at Corax and smiled.

"If you feel you're done with that, I would be honored if you would come and take a walk with me. There's some where I want to take you, and unfortunately we can't fly. So would you come with me? I have dessert."

She extended her hand to him, and smiled. She was really trying to keep her hand from shaking, but something seemed to show. She blushed deep, and smiled. If Corax looked at her hand, he could see the slight tremble it gave. Even after all this time, it seemed.she still wasn't sure how to control those butterflies that fluttered within her at the thought of his touch. Her eyes shone. This was a special night.

The meal was supurb, he looked up to Tierra as well as they ate and constantly made 'mmmm' sounds at almost every bite. Even the wine was excellent, and complimented the food being served. He felt lucky to have someone in his life who could cook so well.
Corax wiped his mouth and hands on the nearby napkin, and then stood up with Tierra to help clean up. He went to her side and hugged her effectionatly and smiled down into her eyes... "Thank you my love. The dinner was great." He gives her a small peck on the cheek, and then turns to help clear the table and clean up. However Tierra takes his arm and asks him to follow her on a walk. Corax looked out into the night, and frowned a second. He wasnt sure about wandering out in the woods at night. He avoided this even when he lived alone. He tilted his head and a smile crept back to his lips. Tierra knew this area better than he did, so he would trust her decision and follow her. He wrapped his arms around her, and felt her tremble... "I would follow you to the ends of the earth my dear. Where are we going?" He chuckles lightly, and reaches down to clasp her hand. He hoped it wasnt too clammy for her, he couldnt help but sweat a little when he was nervouse. Even though he was now living with the woman of his dreams, his life was making the adjustments from being all alone... to having someone you love always around. He preferred the later.

Tierra smiled as she walked towards the open field.  She held Corax's hand tight and lead him towards the forest. The moon shone brightly and a lit a path within the forest.  They followed the path until they reached a  spring that lay in the center of the canopy.  Tierra smiled and walked over to the spring, where she dropped the basket and pulled out a blanket. She then pulled Corax to sit next to her. As they sat at the spring side, fairies began to come out of their hiding places and the dance of the fairies began. They danced, mingling around each other, the colors lighting up the sky like a fireworks display. They came in pairs and introduced themselves to the elves. They put on more lighting displays before leaving the two ariels alone. The moon still shone in the sky, lighting the spring and the area in which they sat. Tierra looked over to Corax and smiled.

" So... did you like it? I told them I was going to be here and that I was going to bring you, so they prepared a special showing just for us. They don't generally do that for just anyone. And I felt honored that they would share that with us.  And I wanted to bring you here, well, because it was one of the first places of real peace that I found when I first moved here to Elmshade. And I never thought that I'd find someone who I could share this with... And.. and... now I'm just wrambling. I'll be quiet now."

She fell silent and looked out into the spring. She smiled to herself, then looked back to Corax. She smiled at him. It seemed that things couldn't get anymore perfect.

Corax was curiouse at first wondering why Tierra had led him so far out in the woods, only to sit in a dark clearing next to a stream. It felt creepy and lonely out here, he clung on to her... hugging her up in his wing as they sat looking over the stream. She had brought a blanket, and basket as well as if they might be staying for a bit. The sky was clear and full of stars, twinkling like a thin blanket of diamonds above them. Perhaps it was a celestial event she wanted to show him, it was a perfect night for one.
Then the small colorful flashes began in the surrounding foilage. Corax jumped a moment instinctively reaching for his bow, which he left behind, then realized what they were as they flew out into the clearing around them. Hundreds of faeries hovered around, playing music, dancing, and painting the night air with their colorful streamers of light. He looked over to Tierra and smiled, relaxing more he hugged her close to him as they watched the show unfolding before them. He was kind and nodded politely as they faeries introduced themselves, and introduced himself in return. Some of them he already knew, and laughed playfully as they remembered each other from the Ivory Tower. Corax looked like he was having a good time, and looked to Tierra as she spoke to him. With a nod he placed his hand over hers... "This was wonderful Tierra. Thank you for the wonderful surprise, and the fabulouse evening. Just being around you is a dream in itself which I never want to wake. Your preasance intoxicating... your mind and heart pure. I would have to count this as one of the best evenings of my life." He smiles and helps her up as he himself rises. He looks across to her still smiling, and faeries floating around them. "Yet the night is still young, and there are still more surprises." He lowers his eyelids and concentrates a moment.(Magnify X2, Reduction, Enhancement.) Tierra and even the surrounding faeries feel the sudden rise in energy as a field of force surround the two ariels. The energy thickens and brightenes all around them, the faeries swirl about outside the glowing ball of light, and watch curiously as it slowly fades... and shrinks quickly. The ball of energy fades completely leaving both ariels in the same spot, but now reduced significantly in size. Corax smiles and looks around as the faeries fly back in to surround the two ariels flying in the air with them, except they were now the same size. He looks back to Tierra... "I cant maintain this for long, but we can enjoy it while it lasts." He instantly pulls her hands along, and flaps his wings backwards, leading her into the circling dance of the faeries. His smile was bright and his laugh genuine as he looked apon Tierras beautiful face. He hoped she would enjoy the temporary change of stature. The faeries were surprised as well, now being able to freely interact with the elves on their own level of size.

Tierra looked around her, her surroundings suddenly much larger than she had remembered. She looked over to Corax and squeeled in excitement. She wrapped her now tiny arms around Corax's neck. She looked at the fairies, who now were her size. She shook hands with faires, and bowed to the fairy king and queen. She then turned back to Corax and wrapped her arms around him. She held him at arms length and the turned to the music of the fairies. She looked into his eyes and smiled.

"Oh Corax. This is amazing. And everything is so alive and I feel so alive, and being here with you, it's just so perfect. I don't even know where to begin. I don't even want the night to end. But I know it has to... but not for a long while and not right now."

She leaned towards him and their lips collide, passion flowing through them. She them hugged him close, as if never wishing to let him go. The moment was perfect and she thought it could only get better. She couldn't imagine ever being without him again.

Corax smiled as Tierra gleamed with excitement. He hoped she wouldnt freak out over the sudden change of mass, and instead acted just the opposite. He was glad she liked it, as did all the other surprised faeries around them. They all encircled the two miniature ariels, orbiting around them with smiles and friendly greetings. Corax eagerly swept Tierra up in his arms and kissed her as they continued to fly around in the dance of the faeries. While there faces were still close and their lips still moist from each others kiss, he looked into her eyes with uncontested love in them. "Im glad we make each other so happy Tierra. I think if we are careful with our time together, we truely can make it last forever." He then laughs and swings her around in mid air, his voice ringing with joy and happiness. The other faeries join in with the two ariels, and a grand ball takes place there in that small grove. Dancing, music, and a romantic evening under the stars.

Tierra laughs then flies over to a branch and sits on one of the leaves, beckoning to Corax to come and join her. The large leaf would hold thme in their current size. She smiled to Corax and then looked back out to the fairies. The majority of them had taken a place in the trees and awaited the great dance of the fairy king and queen. It was almost as if the entire forest held it's breath as the king and queen seemed to materialize in the air. Then a music came floating on the wind, as the two began their dance. They floated back and forth in the air, twirling and spinning. The fairy king lifted the queen with such grace, and the queen seemed to be an extension of the king. They were as one, and the entired fairy court, including the two miniature elves were in awe of the beauty of the dance. Then the king and queen flew over to the leaf where the two ariels sat, and opened the air to them.

"We would be honored to have you join us in our dance." The fairy king said to them.
"Yes please. Join us." The fairy queen smiled to them both.

Tierra smiled and looked over to Corax. She laughed and stood and floated before Corax. She extended her hand to him and said.
"May I have this dance?"

Corax sat in comfort apon the leaf next to Tierra as the faerie king and queen began their dance. They were beautiful, as were most faeries. His eyes looked over to Tierra accompanied by a cheerful smile, and he couldnt help but thinking the royal faeries no matter how wonderouse they were, could never match the beautiful gem sitting next to him. He hugged her close as his attention returned to the fabulouse lights and music that filled the air around them. This evening had indeed turned out very nicely, well beyond his expectations.
When the king and queen approached them he got a little nervouse at first, but was calmed immediatly by their kind nature and request. He stood up with Tierra, and bowed like a gentleman to the faeries, and again to Tierra at her request to dance. With gentleness and a smile he took her by the arm and they joined the royal faeries in the enchanted dance. He kept in rythem with the king and queen, spinning and swaying to the music with Tierra in his arms. She could tell Corax was accustomed to dancing by the way he led her into exquisite ariel dance maneuvers. His irredescent black wings pumped strong and sure, allowing Tierra to only lightly flap her wings and lean most her weight on his. The entire time he gazed deeply into her eyes and smiled, seeming to fall more and more in love with her with each passing moment.

Tierra looked deep into Corax's eyes. It was amazing the amount of love she felt for him at that moment. It was even more amazing how she seemed to fall deeper into that love with each passing day. She knew that this was real, and that this love she felt for him was love in it's purest form. As they danced, she let him take the lead, their dance weaving in and out of the dance the king and queen of the fairies did. It was amazing. The time they had shared that evening together had been perfect in all ways. She wished the night would never end. She also knew that the magic that Corax had performed on them could not last all night. She also knew that the fairies must soon retire to the flowers before the morning dew hit. Even though there was a few hours before the dew was to fall from the sky, she watched as soom of the fairies bowed to them, and flew home. She smiled and then looked back to Corax.

" It's time for them to retire for the night, but we don't have to go home if you don't want to. We could go and walk by the lake, or just sit and look at the stars. I'm just having such a lovely night, I would rather spend it with you until the day rises and then we can bask in the glow of the day, and be together enjoying each other's company."

She looked at him, and smiled, kissing him softly on the cheek. The night has been perfect, she thought to herself.

Corax held Tierra close, then his face seemed to relax from a hidden concentration. They slowly began to regain their normal size as they came to rest on the ground, like a feather comming to rest from a light breeze. The faeries circled them once as they finished their transformation back to their normal size. Corax then steps back from Tierra smiling, a couple drops of sweat dripping from a temple. "A walk with you this evening sounds wonderful my love. I wish I could relive this evening over and over." He turns to the faeries, and returns a bow to them as they depart into the surrounding foliage. He even turns to give Tierra a bow, then holds out his arm for her to take while they walk.

Tierra smiles and takes his hand. The evening had been so beautiful. She smiled to Corax's comment of wishing to relive this evening over and over.

"My love, I feel the same way. We shouldn't wait to have lovely evenings like this until we are so far gone that we just need time. Let's plan one for every month. Never hurt to keep the love alive."

She smiled to him. As they walked beneath the moon light, Tierra looked up into the stars. The shone so brightly that evening that she almost felt like wishing that the love she had with Corax would only intensify. But she knew that the stars had already seen it fit to bring him into her life. Things had been so different having him with her. She was never lonely anymore, and she felt that all things could only get better. She tightened the grip she had on his hand, wishing that he could always be hers. She leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Oh Corax. Being here with you, at this moment in time... There are no words to describe how blessed I feel to have you with me. Life is just perfect when I'm with you, and it doesn't matter if we are in danger, or anything else. As long as I'm with you, I don't care."

She smiled to him, just happy to be alive in that moment.

Corax held Tierra close as they slowly walked under the moonlight and canopy of trees. He listened to the excitement and love in her voice, knowing now she felt the same for him as he did for her. "I think thats a good idea. Once a month, or even more.... however our hearts feel and at our own liesure." He looked out over the north, tward the distant ruins. His mind thinking ahead of their future, and how at this moment... he didnt have much to offer her. He stopped a moment and looked down to her face... "I wish the same things for us Tierra, but we are both exiles here and have no wealth in which to secure our future here. However, as I said before... I have a plan to take care of that." He turns and starts walking with her again, speaking softly... "Ive spent some time with the white wizard, and he has allowed me to help him in his research of the ruins and I have learned a lot about them. There are ancient secrets hidden there Tierra, long lost treasures and priceless artifacts. One good haul would secure our future here in Elmshade for the rest of our lives... and with another of the white mages secrets... even beyond that. I have already planned to explore the ruins once Raven opens them. Yes, it is very likely to be dangerouse... but I think we are both worth it.... our future together is worth it Tierra."

Tierra listens and nods.She smiles.

"So you have spent quite some time with Master Raven. I had heard from Mistress Diedra about the ruins, and all that. She told me that there was quite a bounty to be found when the ruins were finally opened. And you're right. We are worth making a future together. I couldn't have said it better. And even if it's dangerous, I'll be there with you. We will fight side by side. And that way, it will be better."

She smiles and they continue to walk. The night was deepening and they hadn't even gone back. She looked into the sky and then to Corax.

"Well it looks as if we have entered the middle of the night now.  Maybe we should go on home and get some rest. What do you think?"

Corax smiles... "Excellent! Im glad you agree with me. Together, there is nothing that can stop us."
Corax looks around the dark forest around them, nodding his agreement that it was getting very late. "Indeed my dear. Lets get back home." He turns with her still on his arm, and walks back to tward the cottage. He felt like he was floating as they went. This had been one of the most memorable nights of his entire life... he would always remember it, and look forward to many more like it.
