|   Mounted on Silvermane, heading towards the ruined white tower, and the rift.
Shawn and Aonian rode like the wind. Silvermane was fast and spirited as she rode with the speed of the wind at her back. Shawn held on as the horse sped throught the forest pathways on it's way to catch up with Gwain and Diedra as they went on ahead. " I can't believe that Raven is hurt, and I wasn't here. I was off fighting a hopeless war." Aonian thought to himself.
Through the forests and down the pathways until they came to the clearing that led to the trinity dias, where the pinacle of the oracle stood high. This is the circle meeting place where the three mages use to gather and combine their powers in most amazing ways. Over a few more hills until Aonian and Shawn spotted the familuar mare of Diedra. Gwain was her most loyal and trusted friend and he never left her side at any time. Aonian moved closer, but the air around him grew thinner and stiller " Aonian, don..don't go any closer." Diedra said as she stopped him.
" Why? Why can't we..." He stopped when Shawn spoke " By the stars of grace..what is that?" Shawn asked.
" It is a rift, a tear in space and time itself." Diedra said, " Some powerful explosion must have happened to cause this."
" Nooooo... " Aonian said as he caught sight of the fact that the Ivory Tower was gone, just vanished. No ruins, no tower, nothing. He just dropped his head in his hands as he felt like he was stabbed all over again. " No.. I can't sense her. She is gone too." Ian said through his sobs.
" May the souls of the warriors before, bless her humble passing." Shawn said as he lowered his head in reconizition.
Gwain moved closer to Silvermane as Diedra reached out to comfort her godson as he cried for Angel's passing. " I shouldn't have left Godmother. I shouldn't have went off and abandoned everyone like I did. I ran away from my problems, my duty and my destiny as the door of darkness to fight a war that was a never winning struggle." Aonian cried.

| Diedra looked upon the area that used to hold the Ivory tower. She looked at the godson, and then she dismounted Gawain. She kneeled in the area that the tower once stood, and sighed. She could feel the battle that had happened there, but then she looked around. She turned back to Ian and Shawn and spoke. "Ok, we need to find Raven. I'm sure if anyone can explain what happened here, he can. And if there is anyone who should feel ashamed of leaving, it's me. Just because I was greiving doesn't mean that I should have left. We all could be at fault here, but let's get back to the business at hand. Let's find Raven, and the rest, and see what we can do to help." |

After a few more tears, Aonian straightened up and then looked as Diedra remounted Gwain. " You are right Godmother, we must find Master Raven. I feel our presence here isn't by accident." He said.
" I too feel like a great power is looming in the realm. Something strong and devestating." Shawn said. " It gives me the shivers."
" Lets ride, I am guessing that he must be at one of the other towers, or at the temple. If only I had my ring, where did I put it?" Aonian searches through his pocket and finds a small platinium band. " Ah, here it is." He slips it on and focuses, holding his fisted ring hand to his head as he concentrated on Raven's thought. ....

Aonian soon gets a reply in his mind. It is the familiar warm voice of his Godfather in his mind... "Hello Ian. I am in Ariennes tower, having a meeting. I will meet you outside. I could use a break anyways." |
