On the great hill that serves as the foundation to the three mage towers of Elmshade, also known as the Mage Trinity Towers, is a large magicly constructed dias in the center apex of the three towers. It is here that the Trinity mages meet to discuss matters of Elmshade. When one of the mages arrived here with important matters to discuss with the others, then the dias itself would notify the other mages of his presence there. Today, the White Wizard Raven Stormcrow waited.
The dias was also seperated into three different styles of design, each matching their coresponding towers design. Raven stood silently on the white, ivory section of the dias holding an old leathery tome, and looking on tward the other two towers...waiting patiently.

~ ~ ~ After waiting several score heartbeats, the acolyte gets this look of exasperation on his face when he remembers the Shadoweir told him to let nothing stop.  Well, this shield was certainly stopping him.  "Moron!" Yoril mutters to himself, deciding he'd waited long enough.  He walks up to the shield, and smacks the flyer flat against the barrier so the writing would be visible from inside.  The young human exclaims, "Hey!  I know you're in there!  Hi'el Troiye sent me on behalf of High Priestess Siannodell to show you this scrap of paper.  They have gone to confront those who gave them out.  They both looked really upset!" and glances toward the western horison where the sun did race to hide. ~ ~ ~

Arienne arched a delicate brow, a little annoyed at the young man's impatience. When he smacked a piece of paper up against the shield and started talking, she gave the others a resigned look and sighed. "Perhaps we should attend to this young man, first," she said with a hint of exasperation. "He looks pretty upset, and we can reconvene this meeting later. But I must tell you that I am fairly certain that we shall have to deal with this threat of drow soon. Drannon has gone to scout the area, and I will meet with him later today to see what he has discovered. I think it highly possible, Raven, that they are here because of the ruins, although that may be only speculation." Her blue eyes darted to the man outside the shield again and she crossed her arms, stepping off of her piece of the dias. "Let us deal with one problem at a time this day. Shall we see what this one wants?" she asked, causing her energy to the shield to drop and waiting for the others to consent.

Raven nods to Arienne, a hint of agrivation on his brow at the mention of drow. He brushes the thought aside and sets the large tome down on a newly formed ivory table in front of him. Its as if the dias knew he was about to set the book down, and created a table in front of him.
Raven nods to Silvara, wondering what this impatient acolyte wanted, and what that paper was he was holding. With a wave of his hand the ivory colored swirls of the barrier melts away, similarly to Ariennes violet swirls that vanished only moments ago. Only Silvaras red swirls remained in the barrier.

Silvara looked at the two and nodded her head, making a swift almost unperceivable motion with her hand. This dropped the scarlet swirls that sorrounded them and she smiled to the two. "It seems we have much work ahead of us if we are to figure out what is going on here. But for now, let us just contemplate on what has happened. This has been quite a day." She looked at the other two in silence, waiting for somethign to happen, and wondering what the acolyte had wanted.

~ ~ ~ "Whoa!  Oooo!!! Aaaahhh!!" cries out the Acolyte, windmilling his arms suddenly off balance by the disappearance of the shield.  Andro Yoril goes sprawling to the ground at the feet of the Mages face down and spread eagle.  For all of a couple of heartbeats, the man lays there motionless, and while still face down, mockingly says "Ha ha ha, very funny!  The ole watch the acolyte newbie fall on his face routine!  Did you get this all on illusion so you can show it to the rest of the clergy at the Temple?" ~ ~ ~

Arienne nodded her agreement with the other two of the Trinity, and turned her attention back to the young man waiting for them as Silvara lowered the last vestiges of the shield. The acolyte went sprawling and it was all Arienne could do to keep the smile on her face just one of polite interest. She shook her head at his misguided accusations and bent to lend him a slender hand to help him recover his feet...and his dignity. She shook her soft, silvery curls and favored him with an amused and patient smile. "Of course not, young man," she said to him, studying the paper in his hand with interest. "But you are lucky that we had not put the wards in place, or you would not be standing here breathing, having touched the shield that guards the Trinity Dias." Her voice was a bit cool as she said this, and her blue eyes shone with the truth of her statement. "So, it would seem that Meilikki has blessed you with luck this day. Now...what is it that is so very urgent that you had to interrupt our high council?"

Raven also walks over to where Arienne and the Acolyte now stand, he reaches down to pick up the flyer that fell from his hand when he fell to the dias. Raven only shook his head and chuckled a bit at seeing the acolyte fall, but quickly composes himself hoping the man didnt hurt himself. Raven stands near Arienne looking down at the parchment and reading it. After a couple lines, he motions for Silvara, and Arienne to look at it. "This is one of the fliers from the gladiator circus thats in town."

Arienne stepped to Raven's side and quickly scanned the flyer that he held in his hands. Her blue eyes darkened to the deep blue of a tempest tossed sea and her brows furrowed as she finished reading. She turned to the acolyte and regarded him with narrowed eyes. "Siannodell sent you?" she asked, her tone now even cooler. She looked at the others. "I had an encounter with someone from this 'circus' earlier," she said, a muscle in her jaw twitching a little in anger as she remembered the gall of the strange looking elf. "He wanted to buy Spyke, and had just tried to buy Pheral. I told him we weren't interested. He seemed to think that he and whoever runs this thing would be able to do as they wished here in Elmshade." The elf maiden's lip curled and her frown deepened. "I think we should approach them, in the very least. What say you two?"

~ ~ ~ Helped to his feet by the Mages, the Acolyte hands over the paper to Raven, saying "Oh, here you go." and then non-chalantly dusts himself off while Arienne cautioned him about the dangers of wards.  He raises a dust cloud about himself, and sarcastically tells her "Lucky mebbe.  Expendable is more like it or just conveniently located in the wrong place at the wrong time.  You can never tell when it comes to the priesthood."  He furiously coughs a few times from the dust, and jitters his hand, pointing at the paper Raven was holding in response Arienne's urgency question.  Andro takes a deep gulp of air, and gasps out "Gladiator... what he said."  The brown haired fellow shakes his head no when Arienne asks him if Siannodell sent, and replies "The one called Hi'el Troiye sent me.  However, he was speaking with High Priestess just before I got snagged to bring this to you."  The Acolyte smiles crookedly when Arienne expresses the idea of approaching the circus folk, and smacking the fist of one hand into the palm other, boisterously exclaims "By Mielikki!  That's a great idea!!  You all should do just that!  You'll win big points with the High Priestess.  I just know it!"  He looks expectantly at the three Mages, waiting for them to do something instead of stare at a no-time in clergy acolyte ~ ~ ~

Silvara makes her way to the other two and lookes at the flyer. She scans it, and then looks to Raven. "Well isn't this quaint. They want to have a circus in our lands without a permit. Hmm. Now that will be interesting, considering the fact that I've never trusted circus folk. They always seem to have a different agenda than they lead on. And I wonder, why all of a sudden they are stopping here, in a land barely known anywhere? Maybe they have heard of the findings we have had as of late, and maybe..." With that she falls silent, and bring her hand up to her chin, her eyes blurring and a deeply contemplative look crossing her face." And maybe this whole thing about us getting this flyer is just part of what they have planned. I don't know why but I get the feeling that there is a foul plot afoot and I don't like the way I'm sensing it. Something is going on; I only wish that I could figure out exactly what it is because I do not like the way I feel, the sensation of betrayal is in the air." She then looks back to the flyer and after a moment she looks up, to Arienne, Raven and the acolyte.

Raven looks to Arienne and Silvara... "I have heard of this circus in town, but hadnt the time to go and investigate it myself. The townsfolk really seemed to like it, so I didnt pay it much attention. Apparently Siannodell has stormed off to confront them herself, and we all know how she can be. We'd better go with her, and do some investigating ourselves."
Raven turns to the accolyte... "Thank you for the message my good lad. We will go to join Priestess Siannodell at this Circus."
Raven looks back to Arienne and Silvara... "We can continue our meeting later. Lets get to the Sparring Fields."

Arienne nodded in agreement again. Her blue eyes had darkened considerably and she narrowed them in brief thought. "I must stop by the tower first to get a few things, but I will meet you there momentarily. I'll teleport to the tower and ride Spyke to the Arenas. And I'm bringing Drannon and anyone else I can find." She turned a worried glance to Silvara. "Your gut serves you well, sister. I, too, have a bad feeling about this. I hope the ruins have not drawn us more attention than we can handle." With that, she hastily mumbled an arcane phrase, made a small gesture, and disappeared.

~ ~ ~ "You know I feel nothing except kinda hungry, but I could be wrong." adds the acolyte with a deer in the head-lights shrug to the assembled Mages.  He nods at Raven's thanks, and says "You all are doing tbe right thing.  Just as I did the right thing by doing my duty in bringing the paper to you, but now I gotta go.  No doubt with everything going on I'll be needed back at the Temple."  He lifts his hand, and waves farewell, walking back down the hill toward the Temple.  Over his shoulder, he says "Nice meeting you all.  Thanks for not killing me." ~ ~ ~

Shortly after Arienne vanished, and the acolyte ran back to the Temple, a lumbering figure appeared climbing up the Trinity hillside tward the towers. The elf man was barely dressed, only wearing a tattered shirt, and a loincloth. He looked pale and sickly as he rounded the edge of the Trinity Dias where Raven Stormcrow, and Mistress Silvara stood alone. It seemed as if they were about to leave, when Raven noticed the man limping tward them.
Avarice held open his shirt as he approached the two mages, revieling the multitude of scars mapping his torso. "P..ple..ase... h..help...mmee." ..was all that Avarice could mutter. His state of weakness seemed to grow as he stumbled down to one knee.
Raven immediatly went to the mans side, aiding him. "By the Gods! What happened to you?" Raven lowered the elf to the dias, and opened the mans shirt again to get a closer look at the scars. "Mystra preserve us!"
Aravices eyes rolled back in his head, and he then starts to convulse with erratic spasms.

Raven lays the convulsing elf down to the dias, and looks down to the Tigers Eyes broach on his robes. It glows a sloft blue, a sign of danger. Raven raises his hands, and casts a powerful spell on the elf. The elf instantly begins to slow his spasms, and shifts in color to a dull grey.... and remains motionless in a state of stasis. With a thought, the frozen elf is teleported up into Ravens laboritory in the Ivory tower. He looks over to Silvara... "I dont know what that was all about Silvara, but I do know something dangerouse was about to happen. I will keep him in suspended animation for a while until I can study him and see what happened to the poor man. But right now we are needed at the Sparring Fields.... let us be off."
Ravens staff slides across the dias into his awaiting hand, and with another brief thought, he vanishes..... teleporting to the Sparring Fields.
