In a clearing on the outskirts of Elmshade, a shimmering portal of light opens in the still night. Its light spreads across the field in a prismatic array of colors. The light is then disrupted as a red robed figure steps through the portal, stopping in front of it looking around. The blinding portal then disappears, leaving the lone hooded figure standing in complete darkness. The figure taps his black, skullcapped staff on the soft ground, causing a red glow to emit from the eye sockets of the skull, lighting up the area in a faint red aura. The figure pulls back the hood on his red robes, trimmed in black runes, revieling the face of Raven Stormcrow....except for a nasty scar across his right cheek in the formation of a claw mark, he looks exactly like the white mage. A face Nevar wishes he didnt have, but no magics would change it. So perhaps he would make it his own.
Nevar waved his arm out to the side where a dark shadowy figure appeared, just outside of the red light. Red pinpoints floated in the dark figure where its head should rest, looking to the red mage who summoned him. Nevar looked to the figure, and smiled wickedly...."Is everything prepared?"
The shadowy figure spoke with a guteral, unearthly voice, replying....."Yesss Massster. Preperations are made, and my minions are already in position."
Nevar gripped his staff tightly, looking out in the direction of Elmshade, and especially the tall tower looming in the distance...."Excellent! I will soon be rid of him, and all those he loves. And not a soul knows whats comming!"
Nevar then laughed loudly, over and over in sadistic glee. His dark minion joining him in this joyous occasion.

Unkown to Nevar at the moment of his arrival here in Elmshade, in the Twisted Root Tavern, a lone man named Araon jumps out of his chair....as his amulet pulls itself free from under his shirt. The same amulet his friend Raven Stormcrow gave to him, for a certain purpose. The amulet hangs there in front of him, pulsing a red glow from within, and pointing a direction drawing the silvery chain its on behind it.

At the Shrine: As the dust settles, the white pillars of the shrine begin to appear. The surrounding bushes, trees, and flower beds are covered in a layer of dust and dirt. Large patches of missing earth surround the base of the shrine, also several bushes are missing or torn badly. The shrine itself is collapsed. The four pillars that hold the main center ring up, are spread out in the area. All in large pieces. The center ring has fallen down without the pillars, and cracked in two on the shrines floor.
Off to the side of the devestated shrine, lays the dark young man. His cloths are shredded, and burnt. His tanned skin is now blackened, and bleeding. He sits up and shakes his head, trying to gather his wits a moment. His hair is also missing, leaving only tufts of smoking patches. Then he looks down to his missing left arm, burnt to a stub at the elbow. He cradles the arm and lets out an inhuman howl, sounding loud and strong. He then looks to Lita and Hiel laying not far away. His face then contorts, and shifts to more of a feral look. His eyes turn to catlike slits, and he snarls at them both with a fanged mouth.

At the Tavern: Araon walks into the room, and examines the object in the mans hand. It seems to be a pair of spectacles, delicatly held, so easily removed. They almost slip into Araons hand as he removes them from the statue. He holds them up to examine, and they seem to be very well made with crystal lenses, tinted slightly, and golden wire frames.
Suddenly the door slams shut behind him, and the locking mechinism clicks.

Location: The Shrine.

~ ~ ~ Curled into a fetal ball, Hi'el forcefully coughs several times, finally managing to suck in a desparately needed breath of air, and then plaintively groans to himself hoarsely whispering "Oh, Goddess, that hurt!"  He jerks his head up at the sound of the howl, penetrating through the ringing in his ears, and winces in pain caused by the movement as he regards the former lute player turned decidely predatory and animalish.  A faint memory [Int Check = 3, d20] from his studies with the Shadoweir floats to the surface of his conscious thoughts triggered by the music, lute and now the changes happening to the lute player.  He again whispers to himself the words which accompany those thoughts, saying "Wolfwere... Fey of the Dark Path...", and slowly and a little unsteadily rolls to hands and knees, preparing to stand.  The Silenni looks at the long bow, held momentarily forgotten in grasp for half a heartbeat then swivels about on one knee, raising the bow horizontal to the ground.  Dust, leaves and broken branches shakes free of the Shadoweir as he sweeps free a second silver-tipped sheaf arrow from his quiver, knocking it to the bowstring.  Moving with a little greater surety, he lifts the bow sighting down the white fletched shaft of the arrow at the throat of the beast, and lets fly the missile. ~ ~ ~

Thankful that Lita had her shield up so her clothes didnt get torn or worn, but the pain she felt was real.   She tried to stand, but could not feel her left foot.  She looked down and found that a rock had collasped on it.  She releases a loud groan as she invokes her telekinesis and moves the rock, tossing it to a clear side.  She then brings her foot closer to her with her hand.  She feels ( Int: 18) for breaks.  Her silver bands glow with the color of lighning as she prepairs herself for any assult from the new "friend" she has.  'Wolfwere?' She thinks to herself as she heard the shadoweir say it.  She will try and prepair her spells again, hoping her previous mistake has worn off.

Araon hears the door slam and he curses then turns around and puts the spectacles into a safe pocket and runs to the door, making sure there isnt any traps before he bangs on the door to see how sturdy it is

At the Shrine: The now transformed young man snarls as Hiel fires another arrow at him. With reflexes like lightning, it snatches the arrow from the air, and holds it up for Hiel to look at. "Foul Selinni, I am no Wolfwere. I am of the Cat Lords, and you will pay for destroying my Lute." With incredible speed he leaps into the air, to come down on Hiel with a raking claw and nashing fangs. The Selinni dodges the brunt of the attack barely, but doesnt get away without being clawed viciously. (8 Dmg)
Lita has a side view of the attack, and can see the Cat Lord leaped well over 20 ft with a single standing jump. He looks to be very quick, and agile... like a cat.

At the Tavern: Araon steps up to the door, and begins slamming on it with his fist. It seems to be solid, and doesnt move. Suddenly from behind the door, he can hear a sweet voice speak to him. "Hello handsome. Welcolm to my party!"

OOC: Sorry for the delay was skiing in the Austrian Alps.
Location: The Shrine (Destroyed).

~ ~ ~ "My mistake!" yells Hi'el in response to the cat man's exclamation, but then yells out an amazed "WHOA!!!" as it leaps toward him.  More for a distraction than an attack, he hurls his long bow at the cat guy while grabbing the edge of his forest toned leaf patterned cloak, and flings it up between them to disorient and hide his actions.  The Shadoweir whirls, grabbing the hilt of each saber as he stands erect, but before he can draw them, feels the claws of his foe's only good arm rip through his cloak and across his back.  The red hot tracks of agony slicing into his flesh forces a cry of pain from the Silenni's lips "Gaaa!!!"  He spins not away from his foe, but around to face him while viciously ripping both blades from their sheaths at his waist in a scissoring horizontal attack.  The sabers sweep in opposite directions one blade sliding over the other at the cat man. ~ ~ ~

Lita sees the view of the cat creature.  She will get to her feet and access the only power she can muster, and hope it will be enough.  She access her mental ability she was born with and will launch the cat creature against the wall of the shrine, with a powerful force.  " Feel the power of the Goddess', demon"

Araon cusses under his breath and listens to the person on the other side speaks to him and he looks for an exit carefully, hoping no one else is in the room also.

At the Shrine: The Cat Lord reals in pain from the slashes from Hiels swords. One in the hip, ripping a large gash. And the other in the ribs, splattering blood. He then looks to Hiel, about to rip his head off when he is hit by an invisible force. The air ripples from Lita, and bolts tward the Cat Lord, slamming him in the side. The blast sends him flying through a couple trees before he slides to a stop on the ground. (The shrine fell, no walls to slamm him against.) The Cat Lord looks up from the ground, snarling tward Litas direction. The air ripples around him for an instant, then he sends a similar blast back at Lita. (Save vs Spell for 1/2 of 24 Dmg.) He then stands up, and pulls a rapier from his back sheath, facing Hiel once more. The Rapier glows softly, surrounding the Cat Lord in a violet aura. An evil grinn crosses his features as he stares down Hiel.

At the Tavern: Araon looks about the room once more, seeing that he is alone inside, besides the old man statue. Outside the door a seductive voice calls out to him... "Why dont you be good, and put away those nasty weapons. You wont need them. I will protect you my handsome stranger." Araon can hear a sliding sound against the other side of the door.

~ ~ ~ Pleased by the success of his attacks, the Silenni was all set to continue the attacks on the Cat Lord when an invisible force bats the beast away from him sending it through several trees.  Surprised by woman's attack, he glances from the downed cat beast at Lita with both eyebrows raised, but then returns his attention to his foe at the sound of its snarl.  Upon noting the air ripple around the beast, Hi'el tries to interpose himself between her and the attack, and urgently cries out in his light baritone, "Look out!" ~ ~ ~

~ ~ ~ If successful in his attempt to intercept the attack upon the woman, the Shadoweir will bear the full* brunt of the telekinetic impact. ~ ~ ~
~ ~ ~ If not sufficiently quick enough to interpose himself between the woman and the attack, Hi'el instead whirls both blades in a forward rotation, and determinedly advances on the Cat Lord to attack with his sabers. He lunges forward with his left blade stabbing low at its torso, and with the right saber, snaps his right wrist around sweeping the blade horizontally high at neck or head height. ~ ~ ~

((DMOOC: Hiel Init= 3, Cat Lord Init=4.... barely. Yes, Hiel can intercept the blast. If so, he must save vs spell for 1/2 of 24 Dmg, instead of Lita.))

~ ~ ~ Swatted by the invisible force launched by the Cat Lord, the Silenni cries out when he absorbs the full force "AAAAHHH!!!" and is sent flying backward from where he stood.  He hits the ground hard, forcing an involuntary "Ummmphhh!" from him, and causing him to drop his sabers on contact with the earth.  He tumbles head over hooves, and rolls to a motionless stop face down among the rubble of the shrine.  A small moaning exhalation "Mmmmm..." comes from the Hi'el, who barely conscious, closes eyes to shut out the wildly spinning world. ~ ~ ~

~ ~ ~ The bloodied and bruised Shadoweir doesn't move for almost two score heartbeats before shakily pushing his way to his hands and knees.  He hangs his head with a pained whine, "Ennn!" and staggers to his hooves on unsteady legs.  Hi'el slowly looks about, searching for his sabers, and when he finds them, goes to get them. ~ ~ ~

Lita stood ready to take the effect of the force, but then the Selinni, who has been fighting with her against the Cat Lord, flies backwards towards her.  " By the stars!" She exclaims and rushes up to meet him on the ground.  " Warrior, are you alright? You took a nasty hit."  She places a hand on him, and watching the cat lord, she begins. "  Mighty Goddess Marfa, I beg of thee, send your healing powers unto me, restore this warriors body to the way it was, and help him fight this just cause!"

Araon sighs and keeps his sword and shield at the ready, not doing what this person really wants him to do, for he knows that if he does it could mean the end of him and he backs away from the door, searching for any traps or things once before he looks to a window, and opening it if at all possible to look down, assuming the heighth and if he can jump out without getting hurt.
