Why Go On?

 The day begins
And from that moment, life begins.
Opening new possibilities,
And bringing new challenges,
Yet we still go on.

 Time goes by,
And the day gets shorter
Bringing more possibilities
And even more challenges,
Yet still we go on.

 Time Passes once again
And the new day grows darker,
Drawing our possibilities to a rest,
Extending our challenges
Until tomorrow rises again
Yet we still go on.

Why?
Why do continue..
To face the endless possibilities,
And overwhelming challenges?
Why do we still go on?

 For Faith… to know we can do it.
For Hope… to see the small changes we do.
For Dreams.. to come true and bring new hopes.
For Peace.. and the chance to live in harmony.
For Love… of Life and the pursuit of happiness.
It is for this that we go on.

  “An Angel”

 When power makes you sour,
When lies turn to cries,
And hope won’t float,
Be strong and know,
An angel is watching you.

 When hurt, burns your soul,
And violence seems the way,
Look forward to a new brighter day,

" I Can/ I cannot"

I can tell you wonderful stories
Yet I cannot make you listen to them.

I can prepare great meals
Yet I cannot make you feast upon it.

I can introduce you to wondrous places.
Yet I cannot make you go.

I can view the world today.
And I cannot understand all its tribulations <o:p></o:p>

I can tell you all you need to know about God,
Because I cannot let you leave the world without knowing.

A Song of Tranquility:

“Fire”

Burning brightly,

Shinning politely,

Reaching-

            Climbing, soaring up to meet the stars.

Dreaming-

            Wanting to be the brightest it can be.

Proud-

            Standing strong in the toughest wind, showing no fear of the world. 

Consuming-

            Taking in all its resources to stay strong.

Wishing-

            Hoping it makes just one person’s day brighter

Fearful-

            Of the destructiveness of its power.

Sitting quietly in a corner,

Thinking you’re only a loner.

Time passes by, like birds that fly.

How can you see all that you are meant to be,

If you only see, what is not inside this sea.

A sea of torment and of hatred, sorrow and grief,

And never take the time to reach out to your belief.

To be down is to feel like it is over,

And your luck is a burnt field of clovers

What is life with out the pain?

Why does it make us go insane?

Why does it beat us with its cane?

Because we let it, we nag it on

And never stand firm for long.

Can you take flight?

Like a closing in sight?

Higher and higher you soar,

Like a lion ready to roar,

Releasing your fears,

Like the shedding of your tears

Standing, believing

Seeing and revealing

Becoming stronger than you ever did before,

Like no one will hurt you anymore.

It will hurt some,

Pain will go and come,

But you are stronger now,

And all you need is to see how

To resist your fears,

And dry your tears,

Stand strong in your faith,

And believe in the heart you carry with-in

For it is the start you need to begin.
