Hey all. I had a great two weeks off at x-mas but I came home and nuked our comp w/some new downloads meant to speed up our connect.

Mistake.

Aside from being out of money at x-mas I couldn't figure it out. Long story short it has taken 3 tries and $300 to get back on-line. Heck, for two weeks I couldn't even get my comp to fire up. I had some kind of power surge wipe everything out. I lost alot of saved info so I may have to ask for some stats again. I did save some onto a mem stick just b/4 my little problem.

Good news is instead of posting I got ahold of alot of important ppl in relationship to my lil nature preserve over here. The new and improved DnR conservation officer got my opinion and a guided tour, The Director of the Nature Conservancy and the newly hired Land Steward stopped by to assess the mess and hand me some funding, The sheriff and highway depts are going to do some new observations and try to help me out so we've had alot of positive impact. Probably have to talk to the local paper and get me or some semi-important ppl interviewed =)

I am missing this site and I'm ready to post and get things going. I hope you can all write my absence off due to a super long holiday break and just pick up where we left off.

PS- ironically all of my contacts and phone numbers were saved on my comp so when it wouldn't even light up I couldn't retrieve them. That was dumb of me to store them there. PSS- I lost all of those numbres I'm afraid.

Boo Hoo.

The moral of the story kiddies is that you save important Docs in secodary places like an external device or an online addy.

Off to try to catch up and post something interesting. When things broke down you know I could read posts long before I could actually log on. I saw some great material and couldn't wait to interact. Good job friends!

Just for the record it took an hour to get the reply window to open AND get it to SEND. I may have to get a new comp. This one just isn't pulling out of it. My connection rate is 12kbs if you know about that kind of thing. I have an accelerator loaded but my comp's internal functions are like 80x slower than usual. And I have an upgraded Athlon processor.

If I hadn't been gone so long and left threads hangin for months I would be looking for some sympathy but as fate has it I will just complain and move on.

NOTE: I will be doing some large volunteer jobs this summer in addition to the most likely event of building an addition on our home.............. and working full time.

So as things progress I will try to warn players up front that I sometimes will have gaps in play.

<sighs> The forest has once more claimed our fearless leader!!

Ok, I'm back. Basically because it's raining. I miss you guys and our games. I always think about it right before I pass out for the night. We've been building well into the night, every night. Usually until 10 or twelve pm.

Room addition turned into a monster 1200sq ft two story. I've got more windows than wall, vaulted cielings, second story deck, full utility room, master bed and full bath. This all started out as a bedroom mind you.

There's been problems...

Phone co cut phone line = 5 day repair

I cut phone line = another 5 day repair

I cut power line to computer room = took six days to find in exterior wall.

Adopted a cat we found in garage. Totally cool tiger tabby. Crazy male. We call him Jeggs. If you've ever taken in a stray you know whay I'm talkin about

My second best friend is camping down by the stream but is helping me build addition instead of hiring it out. LOKI saves about $3000 =D but I can't play like I'm used to =(

I am co-ordinating cops and game wardens. Last week I was chasing smash and grab car thieves ripping off tourist rides near my house. Alot of statements, reports, and car chases. Not to mention the usual trail maintenance, trash pick up, run offs, and rule-sign hangin

I've had ES posts partially worked up for weeks. I want to post them asap.

I HAD to do these other things first. It's the only real goal in my life. So as soon as I get things under roof I can play more at our usual rate.

PS- the computer is in the path of the upstairs addition so that may be a future problem. I will keep managment informed at the very least.

It's easier to read. you can even read white on white. That's how I used to post secret messages on some other boards.

Update. Today I tear the roof off of the computer room. It'll take three days to replace it. Maybe more for shingles. My comp has to be removed so the debris doesn't destroy it.

Thanks for the update, Loki. I am quietly removing Arie and Sia from the main thread, so that I may use them for NPC use only. My RP time is waning, and I am not sure how much longer these 2 characters will be around. Retirement (for them, as well as for me) may be coming sooner than I expected. I'm not sure about the other players and how they want to proceed, but I definitely would like for Arie and Sia to be strictly NPC status.

I can post from here in between work or I can suspend the thread until I can be more available. We really haven't gotten anywhere major even tho we have ALOT of time in that game. It wouldn't be that hard if you all decided to get your characters freed up. I know I have been bad about posting since I took over this old house.

Those of you still around let me know. I would like to proceed but I will have to do better. I can't promise tha yet. Not until I at least haev the roof on.

So plz be honest. I will post reagardless asap. But if you wish to take things in another direction I can write ppl in or out at this point or whatever it is we all decide to do

I'm still willing to play Eleine, though most likely Rashwen will go with Ari. Of course she'll pop in frequently to see her mate.

What I really need is some stuff from Sydney so Eleine can join the others.

I know you hve to be in a certain mood to write for her, but I desperately need something serious from her as to let Eleine go on the mission.

Yes indeedy, I wasn't planning on it but the Mage's actions plus that failed wisdom check has Malacai all fuming.

I believe you're experienced enough to know its not an attack on you at all, just trying to roleplay it correctly. Malacai has been losing his mind slowly for the past few days because of everything thats happened to him...its starting to take shape, it seems.

As far as picking on a cripple, I'M sure I wouldn't do that...but Malacai in his present state. *wipes brow* This one'll be interestin..
