Hello all,

I don't know how big this is or will become, but it looks like I was almost one of the first victims for this e-mail fraud.

I got an e-mail today from [email protected] saying that $325 was being charged to my account for a necklace I had never seen before and was being shipped to someone in Rehobeth MA.  It prompted me to click on a link to cancel the transaction if I didn't order it.

The link brings you to a sight that looks just like paypal and prompts for your e-mail adress and password before asking for your information to prove you are who you say you are.  This site is not paypal.

Unfortunately I didn't realize it was a spoof until it asked for all my info so I had already entered my password, which I went and changed once I knew what was going on.

I've called both paypal and the website that it said I had ordered the item from, both said it was fraud.

So be careful in the case that you get this, it almost got me.  The biggest part that threw me off was the fact that the originators e-mail address was @paypal.com, so I thought it was legit.

R
