Laurel here... Don't forget that Loki is a real life forest Ranger. From the summer in full force with idiot vacationeers who couldn't survive a day in the forest without getting lost to the very wicked Fireseason our devilish Loki must have his hands full. When summers fades to winter and the rains come again I'll wager our guy will be back in full force. And he'll be welcomed back by both a very patient Paladin and a firey tempered pissed off mate (Rashwen). |

Ok, everyone can yell at me if they want I kinda deserve it. I was destroying a really big boulder damn that tourists erected to flood an area of the park and i fractured a couple vertabrae. They were 150# stones and i can't get hevay equipment down in the waterfall area so I made a bad decision and moved them manually. I'll be Ok eventually but to pay for all the deducts, mri's and specialists and stuff , I had to cut back monthy pay out's like the net and food. I luv playin on the ES site. You have to tell me what I should do. Can I pick my games and chars back up (maybe I can run a char off and on in Ht's game?) or should I quit messin w/everyone w/my flighty antics? If I was you I would be pissed @me. Good news is I can use my right hand again. It was weak as a kitten. (Im' a construction sub-contractor right now so I lost alot of money being laid up) I'll be fine like I said. For a few, for the money, I have ta commute 2hrs a day and put in 10+hrs onsite to pay these fuggin overpaid doctors Good news is we have a new (crappy dial up still) connection and they'll warranty the laptop burnout out a second time. Yeah for LOKI;s team!! FYI compaq power adapters are junk. Oh yeah the lappy fried and 62 hrs later I maimed myself and racked up a bunch of ER bills. You all know how it works I'm sure. Also, I should have my house done within a month. That should free up about 40hrs a week to play. I'm down to trim. PS- this is my friends machine. I won't have one until we settle up w/best buy PSS- Plz understand we don't have a connection on a new home site where I work, my wifey has everything blocked at her office (plus I never go there cuz I would beat her boss nearly to death w/an un-hinged stapler. STAPLER-CHUX!! Gotta write that down for later), and I axed the house connect .....so I've been unplugged for awhile now. This is my first time online in months. Not a very good excuse but it's the truth. And HT is right, once the tourist season is over I can quit chasing vandals and eco-marauders all night. That's alot of typing for my left hand, but you all deserve an explanation (excuse) Sorry Thanx LOKI |

For now take care of yourself and do what you need to do. Once things are settled down for you (and you'll let us know, right?) I'll resume playing Eleine and Rashwen both again. Lol, my pain pills make me a little more stupid than usual, specially when I down them with alcohol. LOKI loves hard cider! UL posted that great explanation. HT usually does that. My bad. Giving credit where credit is due Today I was bitchin about my life and low and behold one of my work buddies took pity on me and gave me a piece of crap monitor and tower his kid (daughter) was replacing with a new system. It smells like high school perfume and is decorated w/new kidz on the block stickers, but now I can post alot more often starting today I'm so excited. Rash is cool, that's always fun and easy. Your pally needs to get goin as soon as possible. Her adventures are gonna be super cool (for me anyway) so do that as soon as you feel like it I might need some kinda spine surgery so I may fade again for a few. Apologies up front Thanx for the understanding. I really hate ppl that do what I do. I will be sure to punish myself with copius amounts of cider. |

Hummm.. Goo Gone will get rid of the stickers. Or you can cover them up with your own. As for spinal surgery, be careful w/that. I may be going back in and under for a rotator cuff repair and carpel tunnel release.. ( again on both of them.) Eleine I'll post for ASAP. First off, it's damned good to hear from you! Glad you're still alive and kicking. Sorry you're hurting, but glad you're alive and even up for a little RP fun. :)
How the hell you manage to get yourself into some of the jams you get into never ceases to amaze me. Man, ever since I've known you (what, 10+ years now?), you have been pulling narrow escapes from shite that would FLATTEN other people! You're charmed, my friend. That's all there is to it. You live a charmed life. You're up to # 7, though, I think, so you better watch out for the other 2. ;)
I hope you don't hafta go in for surgery. :( BUT...yay for at least a crappy PC (better than none, I suppose) - and if you DO go in for surgery, it'll give ya something to do (RP?) while you're laid up. As far as I'm concerned, by all means, pick up your chars again. I'm not around on the boards too much these days, but I'm still here. And I'll always welcome ya back. :)

I've lost track of how many times I've told RPers, there's no one to blame but yourself if your boredom level spikes because you boxed yourself into a single RP thread. There are plenty of stories to tell, characters to make and adventures to run, ways to keep oneself entertained. Heck, that's part of the reason I started Everfire: Inquest Beneath Sundabar, and MT: Battle in the Ruins, and MAY pick back up Restoring the Balance: Conquest of the Ruins (Episode X). Why won't it die!!! Ahhh!!! AAAHH!!!! <poke, poke, poke> But RL always has a vote. Like me being enrolled in a ten-month military school for an MBA, that could have an impact on my RPing, lots of reading, writing, classes on top of regular RL requirements. But you have to deal with it. If you let RL turn you off to RP, that's a personal choice. It's RL!! There's no defense against it!! Ah, chaotic confusion reigns supreme - caused no doubt by the affliction of children. Well, for the very young versions, I recommend the velcro wall. Stick em to it and walk away - no worries. Now, for the walking and talking versions, well, there is only one cure - yes, that's right - the Colliseum, feed them to the lions, or the Gladiator pit. How fondly I remember those days. Oh, what's in a post? Just a few words, just a little response to the situation, nothing perfect or disertation equivalent.

Tis easily found andf cheap!!! <grins> Disclaimer- I would never actually use the above mentioned duct tape in any such manner as listed above. Beasides I wonder just where it is they inherited the skill to drive mommy Bonkers. I hear it is inherited.....<innocent llok> Hugs to all! BTW Family and I took an unplanned trip along the the Pacific Coast from Pescadero Beach to Santa Cruz. Sat the waves were so awesome that for the first time in quite a while <ie four years> I went body surfing!!!! Will post Monday morn for Kaline, Rash and Eleine. |
