Shield of Strength | wPlot Hook: The Northern Mines of Elmshade are small compared to most, but are still considered important. Things usually are very easy and laid back at the mines, but that all changes when the miners report an eerie sound coming from within the mine. Afraid of either ghosts or demons, the miners now refuse to enter the mines. The overseer of the mine is furious. The delay in operations will cause concern for those appointed over him. Not wanting to have others tell him how to operate his mine, the overseer pulls three of the best guards he has, and the post's only cleric (the characters), and instructs them to find out where the eerier sound is coming from and destroy it. wLevel: 5 wCharacter needed: 3 Fighters 1 Cleric wCharacter Creation: Create your character using the Player's Options: Skills and Powers, Combat and Tactics, Spells and Magic, and The Tome of Magic. Use the following guidelines: wChoose a Race: Human wChoose a Class: Warrior (Fighter), Priest (Cleric) (No Psionicist, or dual or multi-class allowed) wChoose a Kit: Scout, Sharpshooter, Soldier, Weapon Master, Healer, None (These are the only kits allowed.) wChoose an Alignment: Good or Neutral. wChoose a Diety: Preferably Torm wAbility Points: Players use ability points to create their adventurer's statistics. A player divides 80 points among his PC's Strength, Intelligence, Wisdom, Dexterity, Constitution, and Charisma scores. Fighters can purchase 10 points of exceptional Strength for each extra character point spent. For example, it costs 21 of the 80 character points to give a fighter an 18/30 Strength (18+3=21). Racial minimums and maximums must be observed. To avoid super characters, no ability or sub ability score can exceed 18, and only one ability score of 18 is allowed wCharacter Points: Standard character points are used for initial character creation. Four character points are added for each level after level one. wRoll for Hit Points: Max HP for all levels. You'll need them wSelect Proficiencies: Determine the character's weapon and nonweapon proficiency slots. Add the character's number of languages known to his number of nonweapon proficiencies. Select weapon proficiencies. If the character is a fighter, you may select a weapon specialization. Select nonweapon proficiencies. Record their relevant abilities and check modifiers. wEquip your Character: Use the Max Funds allowed by class to purchase standard equipment. Warrior 5d4 x 10 gp>> 200 gp x 5 = 1,000 Wizard (1d4+1) x 10 gp>> 50 gp Rogue 2d6 x 10 gp>> 120 gp Priest* 3d6 x 10 gp>> 180 gp x 5 = 900 Fighters are issued the following: Improved chain mail (AC 4) Long Sword Clerics are issued the following: Improved chain mail (AC 4) Footman's Mace Healer's Bag *Priest characters can use their money only to purchase equipment and goods. Once all purchases are made, the priest character must return all but two or three of his remaining gold pieces to his superiors (since his equipment is supplied by his organization). Priests cannot lend any of their initial funds to other characters. wCharacter Backgrounds/Description: The Character's background and description should be very detailed. The background should include how the character developed all of their skills, how they obtained their equipment, where they came from, and so on. The description should explain how the character looks and acts. This is a military campaign, and therefore the character should have some sort of military background. The characters have fought side-by-side during many battles, and have become somewhat of a band of brothers. This special bond is the reason you are brought together for this mission. wCharacter Sheets: Submit a character sheet with the level, race, class, kit, alignment, deity, ability points, character point breakdown, hit points, proficiencies, equipment and money, social class, and background. Racial and class abilities, spells, and anything else you think is important. wPosting Requirements: Posting will be done as needed to keep the story going smoothly. | ---Traynor the fighter: soldier kit STR-17, DEX-16, CON-12, INT-12, WIS-11, CHA-13 Items: Long sword, Medium shield, and Field plate armor Assigned to the mines in northern Valor, young Traynor is one of the few guards stationed at the mines. Those who are interested in playing in the game need only to submit their character on this thread. I have created four premade characters that are good for this game. Feel free to choose one of them to play if you wish. Those who are interested, but cannot create a character by the start date will be given one of the premade characters. I intend for this game to run quickly and smoothly. Posting will be done weekly, at minimum, and more if possible. This game consists of mainly fighting, killing, and maybe even dieing. Figuring out where to go will be key to completing the game, so team work will really help out. |

Players, The map has been updated today. I will post again next Wednesday or whenever all of you post. Reyco, I wasn't sure where you wanted Isamu, so I stopped him at the door. (half move) In the future, if you want to be more specific in where he is going, you can use the grid numbers on the map. Malacia, Are you still playing??? It's been a while since you last posted. Three weeks is too long, so I will ask for another player to take charge of Jarrod if you don't post by next Wednesday. |

Tactical, My apologies on my posting recently. I forgot to post about it here, but RL has me swamped right now. Im trying to keep up as best I can, posting when I have time. Once some issues get settled IRL, things should smooth down a bit. Im still interested in playing and would like to continue. M. |

Players, I will not be able to post next week(Mon-Fri), so we will do one of two things. 1. If everyone posts by Sunday, then I will post then, and the game will go from there. 2. If everyone doesn't post before Sunday, then the game will be postponed until Saturday Oct 21. I will post then, and the game will go from there. I would prefer that everyone post before Sunday. Reyco is the only one left to post, and he is pretty good about posting, so we have a good chance of getting option 1. Either way you guys are doing really good. Malacia, Good to go. I know your having some problems, but I had to ask just to make sure. |

Players, Thanks for posting so quickly this week. I will post again next Saturday (Oct 21). If for some reason you all post again before this Sunday, I will post then as well, but I'm good with the way things are now. Again thanks. |

Big Jon & Malacai, I'm not getting a copy of your dice rolls via irony dice server. Remember that I need initiative, attack, and damage rolls. Malacai, Could you put your current hp/total hp in your posts somewhere to help me keep track of them? |

Are we left to assume this game is dead? No post from the DM in quite a long time now.
Please confirm either way, thanks.
