Lord Kurai Galifrey
Arms Major of the Akh'Velahr
Paladin of Torm

~ ~ ~ Far, far away across the world of Faerun in the depths of a long forgotten family crypt beneath the ancient and ruined Elven city once famously known as the City of Songs but more commonly known as Myth Drannor, a similar seal shattered in sympathetic response at the precise moment when Raven turned the little critter key in the large square slab of rock and the resounding boom shuddered the land about him.   Lost for over six centuries in a timeless communion with the entire Galifrey ancestral line dating back to the dawning of the elves arriving upon Faerun, Kur'ai Galifrey, the last of the Galifrey line, laid 'In State' inside the Family Shrine. A fabulously crafted crypt located deep below the crumbling ruins of ancient Myth Drannor. Therein lay the last physical remnants of the Galifrey line, those who did not make the passage to Arvannador or to Evermeet.  Still dressed in the ancient, ornately-crafted, elven-mithril plate mail, that he wore during last battles against the Army of Darkness, the ancient Paladin and avowed destroyer of dragons lay as still as death beneath a fine layer of dust.  Arrayed about the grey elf are the weapons of his trade, long and short swords, horseman's maces, daggers, and most notably the elfblade Ary'Velahr'Kerym, and his Elven composite short bow.  All is as it was left 660 years past during the Fall of Myth Drannor, except for the new settling of dust motes as the chamber trembled from seals of the crypt being force open and the massive blocks of granite raised back into place above the long entry corridor to the Galifrey Shrine.  As the last of the granite blocks raises back into the ceiling of the corridor, an ancient elf of wrinkled skin and white eyes, a Baelnorn, casually walks into the shrine, and looks the place over. A potent diviner in life was now the undead-keeper of the Mythal over Myth Drannor and the Guardian of the Elven Crypts.  Caalenfaire announces "Ute lle yallume! Lle sinta sut nir' yaanea, amin mae e'a uta lle! Nelde! Cuiva, Kamio! Amin eleaya nat'ea tula. Lle ante!"*  Far beyond the current moment of time and physical space, Kur'ai Galifrey dwelled several millennias past in the 'Ancestral' Communion, sharing the elder world of elves, which had long since vanished into antiquity and obscurity.  On this timeless 'day' of his endless Communion, Kur'ai stood in Arvannador reunited with his dead wife and other members of his ancient Family sharing their past lives. Except never on this shared 'day' had there ever occurred a total eclipse.  As Kur'ai stood upon the terraced gardens of his Family estates in Arvanndor, the bright light of midday rapidly vanished in the wake of Selunes' encroachment, bring out the stars and covering the land in darkness. In his ears, ring the elven words 'Cuiva, Kamio!' shattering the endless Communion and tearing the sleeping Paladin from his peaceful sanctuary.  With the passage of Selune and the brilliant effulgence of the midday sun's return, this revealed the disappearance of Kur'ai Galifrey from the landscape of Communion, and heralded his horrified emergence once more into the living world where his body yet resided.  From the still form of the Grey Elf lying on the raised marble slab, issues the plaintive, heartrending shriek of denial "N'UMA!!!"  ["NO!"] fills the crypt vault as utopia and paradise are suddenly ripped from his grasp.  The traumatic shock of being summoned back to his body after such a long duration in Communion causes the Paladin to loose consciousness.  Caalenfaire waves his hands at the shrieking grey elf's face, trying to keep him quiet.  He tells Kur'ai, "N'uma rauni! N'uma rauni! Lle farna mezzoloths!"** and continues, intoning "Ten' aredhel ohtar, sut weera Seldarine yassen lle coiven ikotane sai. Lle coive faarea. Ta coiasira tua lle Seldarine! A Nurt Arandori lle auta!"***  He waves his hands with a flourish and points them in the direction of Evermeet and the Setting Sun.  The unconscious paladin and all his trapping and wares vanish from the crypt, and over 300 leagues away upon the main altar of the Elmshade temple laying in repose appears an armed and armored knight in shimmering mithril plate mail ornately crafted with dragon designs. The dragon helmet conceals the knight's features. The Knight holds two handed the pommel of a long sword pointed at his feet. Blue and silver flames lick incessantly along the sword, quillons, pommel, and harmlessly around the warrior's gauntleted hands. The Knight shimmers into full solidity as Raven succumbs to the sleep he needed. ~ ~ ~

Translation:
* = "Found you at last! Do you know how many crypts I had to search to find you! Three! Awaken, Sleeper. I have seen the future. You are needed!"

** =
"Quiet, quiet. You'll bring the Mezzoloths!"
*** = "For an Elven Paladin, how do the Gods put up with you sleeping so much. You have slept enough. Time to serve the gods. Away to new world you go!"
