Location:  Trinity Towers Dias;
Time:  Mid-afternoon (D+1 after the Temple's Destruction);
 ~ ~ ~ As the fog filling the area between the three Towers of the Trinity slowly dissapates, silohuettes of figures gradually appear in the billowing gray-white mists, and take shape revealing two people and one large wolf at the Dias of the Trinity.  One of the two people is clearly a man and a warrior tall and broad-shouldered wearing platemail armor armed with sword and mace.  The second figure is clearly female, possibly elven, Ranger-type, tall in stature, mahogany brown hair, dressed in forest green cloak, a low cut, long-sleeve, bronze shirt, green, crushed-velvet pants and soft boots.  The large, tan colored wolf stands as tall as the man, and looks to be of the prehistoric Dire species judging by its size.  The Dire Wolf sniffs around the Dias, checking out the scents of the respective individuals who'd visited the place in the past few days.  The man and woman casually look around at the three Towers of the Trinity as the misty fog finally departs, and get their bearings before strolling toward the location of the destroyed temple with the Dire Wolf trailing. ~ ~ ~

The High Priestess nodded, turned and quickly began moving in the direction of the Sparring Fields. She spoke to Aer'ie and Justinius as they walked. "I honestly don't know all of his powers," she admitted to the druidess. "I know that he's by far the strangest sort of elf I've ever met, and I know he's a warrior. He's also some sort of sorceror, but I can only guess as to the depths of his powers. He summoned a huge, black arm to take out one of the demons we fought, as a punishment to the demon for failure." ((Sia is only going on what little knowledge she actually has of Gillette, taken from her brief interaction with him before their meeting with the Weremacht and what she witnessed immediately after the Temple Battle. )) Sia's expression grew anxious. "Like I said, I don't know exactly how powerful he is, but if he's strong enough to command and wipe out demons, then I don't want to underestimate him. Not to mention that he's the Weremacht's second in command for good reason...but he's a slippery character, and extremely cunning. We must be very careful in our dealings with him, Aer'ie."

 ~ ~ ~ Heading down the path from the ruined temple to the village market square, the Shadowier nods at Siannodell's words of caution, concering Gillette, and to make small talk, asks "What do you think of Hi'el?  Has he served Mielikki well here in Elmshade?"  The Great Druidess pauses, and looks behind them just in time to dodge out of the Dire Wolf's path.  She affectionately rubs Tawny behind the ear, and reassures her, saying "Yes, I'm still here, you brute.  Stay beside me, girl."  Aer'ie looks back in the direction from which Tawny came looking for Jericho who soon comes into view pestered by Cher'ie flying circles around his head. ~ ~ ~

 ~ ~ ~ Hailing the Great Druidess, the Warrior calls, "Aer'ie!  Wait up!  You need to see what Tawny found!" and at quick pace, brings the Pseudodragon to her.  Cher'ie zips a head, alighting upon Van'Zant's shoulder, and excitedly chimes "Pseudodragon, I found a Pseudodragon!  She needs help!" ~ ~ ~

 ~ ~ ~ Glancing in question at Sia and Justinius, Aer'ie asks of them, "Do you have a pride of Pseudodragons here at Elmshade?" and after a quick check of the small drake's pupil response and tongue, states "She is exhausted and weak from lack of food." ~ ~ ~

    Siannodell was more than happy to speak of the Silenni when the druidess asked about him. "Oh, yes!" she answered quickly. "Hi'el has been a tremendous help to us in the past few months." Sia's face grew strained and she sighed. "He's actually gone to Dace to find my daughter and bring her back here. He claims to have been visited by the Goddess, Herself, and I don't doubt it a bit. One of her own planars graced me with the form I have now," she motioned to her younger, firmer body. "Mother Mielikki has been watching over Elmshade for quite some time, now, M'Lady, and over Hi'el Troiye, in particular. I'm anxious for him to return, but not just for my daughter's sake. Both the temple and the village need him."

    They kept walking and Justinius fell further behind. He was still spry for his age, but his stride was slower and stiffer. The pause which the Dire Wolf brought to the party allowed him to catch up. As he drew close, the women could hear him puffing a little, although he muffled it well. Both he and Siannodell listened and then marveled at the tiny red dragon. Sia's eyes widened and Justinius also looked surprised. The elder man answered first. "No, none that I'm aware of, and I'm sure I would know it if there were any of these rare creatures about." One wrinkly finger reached out to gently caress Rashwen's neck and he nodded at Aer'ie's assessment of her condition. "Aye, she's almost done for. We should get her some food and water at once, methinks."

    Siannodell nodded and had a thought. "Lady Arienne is the draconic expert around here, perhaps she'll know what to do to help her. We should be there shortly." She cooed softly at the pseudo-dragon. "Hang on, little one. We'll have you better in no time."

         The tiny dragon permitted herself to behandled. Her  hide as dried out as the rest of her, it was only when the older man caressed her neck that she gently brushed her head agaisnt his hand before falling back into the makeshift nest.

           When Arienne's name was mentioned, the little one strugged to her feet her weary mental voice projected   ~~Ari-Mage! Need Ari!!~~  For those that were sensative to such matters there was a feel of something broken, that something being the cause of her condition.

           Rashwen could almost feel her, could almost see her. that strong feeling gave her enough to struggle out of the coat and actually fly a wingstrokes, before her stubborn energy burned out and she tumbled to the ground. Lifting her head, all shs could manage was a mournful keen before dropping back down to her haunches.

     ~ ~ ~ Struggling with the fiesty little dragon, Jericho grumbles, "Hold still ya scaly lizard!" and lets her go knowing she won't get far in her exhausted state.  Of course in defense of the Pseudodragon, the Pixie exclaims "She's NOT a scaly lizard!  She's a beautiful Dragon Queen!  You'll see!"  Aer'ie rolls her eyes as they walk along, and so very softly mutters "Why me."  The Bright Shiny One walks over to where she'd collapsed, and again plucks her from the ground into the folds of his cloak.  The Warrior, as he rejoins the entourage headed toward the Sparring Grounds, remarks "Oh, yeah.  The little one happens to be looking for a silver haired Elven woman.  Sound like anyone we've heard described before."  To which the Cher'ie brightly pipes up "Yea!  She showed me the Silver haired Elf Lady!  The one I seen at the burnt ground."  Nodding her mahogany haired head at the information imparted by her two followers, the Great Druidess turns very serious, and as she walks along, tells them "Right, good work.  Okay, when we get to this place.  It's called the Sparring Grounds.  Stay on your toes.  The pasty death Elf you described is called Gillette, and is one of the bad guys, screwing up the Balance.  Until we get the situation figured out, I don't need a half-dead Pseudodragon getting in the way.  Cher'ie before going in we'll drop you off with her in a safe spot.  You tie her up, put your voodoo hex on her whatever to keep her out of the way.  We'll extricate the Elven Woman, and reunite her with her friend.  Jericho take Tawny, and standby thirty paces to the right.  Worse case scenario, be prepared to do a ride by snatch on the Elven Lady, Arienne, on my sign.  We'll provide a diversion.  Let's hope this little pow-wow we're crashing doesn't turn ugly." ~ ~ ~

         Once more lifted she just sighed heavily. ~Is Rashwen~ She gave her name to those who appeared to be taking her to Ari. The small dragon curled up in the folds of bright shiny ones cloak.

       Curving her neck to look at the woman who glowed with power, Rashwen chirped softly ~Ari Danger? Rashwen no help Ari? Rashwen still bite, claw, sting. Protect Ari Rashwen has,would~ From the folds of the cloak she managed a feirce sounding hiss, and her tail with its deadly stinger appeared for just a moment. Then she settled back into the cloak.

           Rashwen was determined to gather up her energy in case Ari needed her protection. It wouldn't be much, but Rashwen would not find her Ari only to lose her. She halfway closed her eyes, becoming a warm bundle in his cloak.

    Rashwen came from the Elven Rash meaning trouble and Wen meaning Maiden hence Rashwen would mean Trouble Maiden.

         She lifted her head from the warm nest of the cloak that had helped restore a very small amount of her energy. Running her head along the Bright-shiny ones arm it almost seemed an apoligy for some action she had not yet done.

          Drooping back down Rashwen found what was left of her link with Ari and poured her love and longing for her into it. This time the mental words were tightly channeled for only one person, and the tiny dragon hoped they would reach her. ~Ari come to Rashwen. Rashwen need Ari, else Rashwen no more. Please come to Rashwen...~

         It was all she could send to her bondmate, her friend. Her color faded a bit more, and she grew more limp in the heavy cloak that protected her.

    Carefully helping the elder human into the saddle in front of her, Arienne kicked at Spyke's hind-quarters and got him airborne. He struggled against the volatile winds, flapping harder to even stay aloft. "Stay low," she commanded the Sithican wyvern. The huge reptile complied and Arienne nodded her gratitude at the orb Amagato had summoned that kept out the worst of the elements. "Thank you for the shelter, short-lived as it may be," she told him.

    "What sort of storm is that?" she asked as she kept her eyes on the ground passing quickly below them. "I've never heard of a rain of blood, Amagato, and I didn't understand the words Gillette was yelling. I heard the name of the Weremacht, though, so now I'm really worried." Her expression confirmed this statement. "He's insane. Drunk on power or...something similar. We need to find Siannodell and see if she's heard from Justinius and the druids about the storm. Surely they...." she paused as the same familiar voice entered her mind, stronger this time.

    "~Ari come to Rashwen. Rashwen need Ari, else Rashwen no more. Please come to Rashwen...~"

    "Rashwen!" she thought. Arienne sucked in a surprised breath and tried to pinpoint the location of the one who had sent the message. Only seconds later, Spyke passed over several humanoid forms heading toward the Sparring Fields. She recognized two of them. "Spyke, land! There!" she commanded the serpentine beast, who again did as his Mistress asked. With a great flapping of wings and a shriek of displeasure at the steadily worsening weather, Spyke thumped his huge bulk down a few yards from Siannodell and the others. Arienne hailed them and kept her message short and to the point.

    "Trouble has found us, Mother Sia! Gillette has summoned some sort of incredibly powerful storm against us, and I fear we are all in terrible danger! I'm taking Amagato and heading to my tower! Don't go to the fields, come find me at the tower! We have to stop him, somehow!" Again, Arienne felt the link between she and her long-gone pseudo-dragon stronger than it had been. Her sapphire eyes narrowed in confusion and she looked around the area. "Rashwen?!" she called out with uncertainty.

    OOC: Changing time stamp to Night (D+2 after the Temple's Destruction) to synchronize storylines and storm onset. Negligible impact to current thread, merely grants the Druids of Mornbryn's Shield a full day to assemble and mobilize forces, and cast attack/counter invocations.)
    Location:  Ruins of Alliance of the Faiths Temple, Elmshade;
    Time:  Night (D+2 after the Temple's Destruction);

     ~ ~ ~ Passing through the central market square and past Gideon's Barber Shop, Aer'ie answers the mental query of the Psuedodragon calmly replying over her shoulder, "Rashwen, you are the very epitome of bravery and loyalty, and while you would fight with all your heart for your Friend, I fear any battle would be short-lived.  You are not in prime fighting condition at the moment, and would do well to rest and regain your strength.  Let us find out if your Friend is TRULY in danger, and if she isn't, your reunion is only delayed by a few short moments." and curiously glances at the gaunt man speaking with the black raven on the porch.  The Great Druidess also notes the unusually chill wind starting to pick up, and hastens her pace to get the Sparring Fields. ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ Behind the Shadoweir Commander with Tawny at his side, Jericho kept pace with his liege, and nodding down at what she said to Rashwen, says "You should listen to her, Little One.  We ain't tryin to keep you apart, but'll have enough trouble dealing with whatever badness this Gillette person causes." ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ Perched upon the Warrior's shoulder, the blue Pixie Lady with the butterfly wings beams down at the Dragonet, and with a mischievous gleam in her green eyes and relish in her tone, adds "And once you're all better, WE can go flying!!!"  Cher'ie can't wait to play Dragonrider with Rashwen. ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ Leaving the central market square, Tawny tenses up and deeply growls, her ears perking alertly forward, as she scans the darkness of the sky, intently listening to the wooshing of beating wings. ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ After a momentary pause, Aer'ie points into the black sky at the approaching Wyvern, shouting "There!!  Something on wings comes!!  Spread out!!  Take cover!!  Tawny to ME!!" and ducks down beside some trees along the trail, pulling out a Wand to use. ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ Swoop protests the sudden movements of her Mistress with a screech, and to steady herself, flaps both her wings and tightens her talons grasping the Half-Elf's arm. ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ After a momentary hesitation, the great Dire Wolf pads quietly over to Aer'ie, still growling at the creature coming from the sky, and intently watches the landing of new people on the roadway. ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ Heeding the commands of his Mistress, Jericho rushes to the opposite side of the trail, taking cover behind more trees, and after setting the lamp on the ground, pulls his magical sword from its sheath.  The human slightly tightens his hold on the Drake, and anxiously looks for whatever was coming at them. ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ Ducking into the folds of Jericho's cloak, Cher'ie, invisible, hides with the human and Psuedodragon, and also pulls out a Wand for use should conditions warrant. ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ Once it becomes clear that whomever flies upon the beast is a friend known to the High Priestess, the Great Druidess shrilly blows a whistling sound to give the all clear to her friends, and walking out from where she'd taken cover, quickly recognizes the silver haired Elf from Cher'ie description and the mental image from Rashwen.  With simple aplomb, the Half-Elf calls out "Jericho!  Bring your friend over here." ~ ~ ~

     ~ ~ ~ After sliding away his long sword, the Warrior returns to the roadway with the lamp in one hand and Rashwen in the other arm.  Alittle daunted by the appearance of the great black beast upon which the Elf rides, the man shuffles over to the side of his Mistress and the Dire Wolf, and then getting the head nod from Aer'ie, hesitantly steps forward beside the winged beasty holding up the Pseudodragon, saying "Um, here.  I guess you know one another?" ~ ~ ~

         Rashwen listen quietly to both the lovely one and the bright-shiney one who carried her so gently, but she seemed focused somwhere else. It was made clear as the wyvern landed.

      Bright-shiny one took her to the one person she wanted most in the universe and gathering what strength the exhausted psuedodragon had left she half jumped, half flew into Ari's arms. ~Rashwen miss Ari! Rashwen travel longlonglong to find Ari.~ Her head stroked along Ari's face affectionately leaving little doubt of the great love the little one felt for her mage.

         ~Rashwen very tired-hungry-thirsty, Ari still love Rashwen?~ Her eyes were on a level with the mages, there could be no deciect here.

    Siannodell had to smile as the others took cover. She recognized the wyvern and the two riders atop its broad back as friends and was relieved to see them. "Lady Arienne!" she called out. "What a relief! We were just on our way to find you! There's someone who wants..." Before she could finish, the devilish but ill pseudo-dragon had flitted to the mage's side and was crooning her hellos. "Yeah, well, nevermind," Sia smirked to herself. She took note of the small oriental man in the saddle behind Arienne and bowed to him. "Master Amagato, it's good to see you again. We had reports that you and Arienne were on the Sparring Fields with Gillette, and feared you might both need some help." After listening to Arienne's words, the High Priestess's face grew grim and she looked at Aer'ie and the others. "You wanted some sort of meeting to figure out what to do? Here's our chance." Her good eye turned nervously to the roiling skies above them. "Although I suggest we get indoors as soon as possible. Starsinger Tower is as good a place as any, I guess. There is enough room inside to accomodate all of us, and the wards on the tower will help protect us." Sia looked at Arienne again. "We'll be there shortly, Lady Arienne. I'll make introductions when we arrive."

    Justinius watched events unfold from near the High Priestess's right arm. He studied the dark man on the porch of the Barber's Shop with a narrowed gaze, recognizing the large raven as one he had seen before. Then he turned his attention back to matters at hand and nodded his agreement with Siannodell. "Aye, if we're to be attacked, I guess I'd feel safe in a wizard's tower. Rather be out in the open, usin' the elements Silvanus and Mielikki gave us, but all in good time. Speakin' of wizards, what about Raven and Silvara?" He spoke loudly to Arienne. "What about the others of the Trinity, Arienne? Will they be there, too? Don't they know what's happening? Great Gods of thunder, all they have to do is take a look outside every once in awhile, you'd think they'd be hammerin' on your door by now! I've brought the Sentinels and the Order with me. They're at the Temple right now, but we'll pass 'em on the way to your house." He looked at Aer'ie and Jericho. "What do you two think? Time's a wastin', so we should probably start movin'."

    The friendly bundle of claws, wings and scales that used the last of her reserves to fly over to Arienne was met with gentle arms and undisguised delight. "Oh, Rashwen!" Arienne snuggled the pseudo-dragon against her and looked deeply into the small, mischevious eyes which she had missed for so long. "I can't believe you're here! I had thought you lost to me forever, little one! Of course I still love you, silly! There, there," she stroked Rashwen's head and down her back, cradling her in her arms. Spyke twisted his long neck and brought his head back to sniff curiously at the small creature. She smelled like a dragon to him, but looked like a snack. With a whuff, he shook his head, bristling his shiny, black feathers and stamping in place. The wyvern was nervous and ready to be gone from this place. "We're going home, Rashwen. I'll get you all better once we get there, sweet one. For now, just stay close and safe. It's only a few more minutes, love."  Arienne tucked Rashwen close to her on her lap and brought the folds of her cloak to wrap snugly around the injured dragonette, to ward off the chill.

    She listened to Siannodell and Justinius and nodded a quick greeting to the others. "I'll contact Raven and Silvara immediately when I get to the tower. I'm sure they know what's going on, but we haven't any time to lose! I'll meet you all there! Justinius, make sure the Sentinels and the Order are prepared for all out war! I don't know the numbers we'll be facing, but from what Amagato has told me, they've a number of powerful artifacts among them, and are known to have destroyed worlds! We must hurry!"  She kicked at Spyke's hind-quarters again and ordered him home. The overgrown lizard was more than happy to obey, flapping his huge wings and launching himself into the air with a show of strength beneath the rippling, obsidian feathers and scales. They lifted quickly and within less than half a minute were gone, flying low over the treetops in the direction of the towers...

    ((Heading to Starsinger Tower. Any who wish to follow are welcome.))

    The abrupt decent sent Amagato into reserved hysterics. Milady we should all evactuate imediately lest we should defend ourselves against a creature with the temperment of a cat with a mouse.

    (OOC: Small correction. Remember it is night time, and while there maybe some moonlit from the waning moon, if it's not obscured by clouds, then it would be hard for Mother Sia to identify the Wyvern as friendly until it landed.  Van'Zant possesses Eyes of the Eagle so with the aid of her infravision could see the creature even in the darkness.  Just something to take into account.)
