Location: Secluded Forest Farmstead.  Post transcribed from chat.
Hi’el-Time: Daylight flees quickly. Only half an hour of light remains before twilight ends and darkness settles on the land
Hi’el-Farmhouse: Inside the living room of the farmhouse stand Riddik and Hi'el. The light of Trea's spell illuminates the room showing the wreckage of furniture and two rotting creatures freshly put down by them.
Riddik moves around the room looking through any open doorways to see if there are any more on the first floor.
Hi’el-Living room: Your basically 20' square room with the main entrance and one window on the south wall, a fire place on the interior west wall, one window on the east wall, one door way on the north wall, one hall way off the west wall abutting the ...
Hi’el-Living room: ... north wall.
Trealina calls out softly
Trealina: room in there for me now?
Riddik: It looks safe, but we still have to check upstairs.
Trealina: "I didn’t ask if it was safe, I don’t want hooves imprinted on my feet"
Riddik snorts at Trea shaking his head, and moves to the door on the North wall to inspect it.
Trealina leaves her bow strung but hangs it down her back, placing two of her three pulled arrows back in the quiver, she then pulls her twin scimitars
Hi’el moves to the hallway and covers it. He holds his sabers at the ready as he glances down the hallway. He tells the others, starting to feel his claustrophobia,
Hi’el: "We should start boarding up the windows and barricading the doors."
Hi’el-North door: Beyond the doorway is another room, the kitchen dining room. It has two windows, east and north wall. One door outside standing open on the north side to the outside.
Trealina: any one here a carpenter?
Riddik nods his agreement...and starts looking around for suitable wood... like doors, and floorboards.
Trealina (she slips through the front door
Hi’el thickly replies
Hi’el: "No."
Riddik: We need nails, and a hammer would help.
Riddik pulls a inside door off its hinges
Trealina looks for firewood
Hi’el begins sweating as he slides down the hallway to the west. It's got two doors on the north wall and one on the south and a window at the very end broken out.
Trealina hears the sliding hooves
Trealina: Sir Hi'el...are you in need of assistance?"
Riddik goes to the kitchen, and any closets. Looking for nails, and hammer.
Hi’el-Search: As you search for the things you need you find. The interior doors are available. A thorough a hammer and spikes are available in your survival pack Hi’el gave Riddik.
Hi’el-Wood: It plentily available from the furniture.
Riddik goes through the house pulling off all the inside doors. He will then take out his hammer and spikes, and begin to nail the doors over the windows.
Hi’el tells Trea
Hi’el: "I can't go down the hallway. I think we should get out of here, and get back to Elm Shade."

Trealina: "I think I said something along that lines before, Forest Knight"
Trealina: "RIDDIK!"
Riddik looks over to Trea..."What!"
Trealina: "we need to get out of here...like last moon"
Hi’el sharply glances at Trea and her accusatory words. He dryly tells her
Hi’el: "I'm glad you agree with me."
Riddik Its too late for that. It'll be dark soon.
Riddik continues barricading the windows.

Hi’el replies
Hi’el: "Then one of us needs to go for help."
Trealina rolls her green eyes as she moves her spring green hair our of the way
Riddik looks back to Hi’el...."One of us. Three of us were almost killed out there. One wont have a chance."
Trealina: "make up your mind.... Ill fight by you inside or out.... I’ll stand by you in anything"
Hi’el answers
Hi’el: "Those things were so slow. Easily out distanced."
Trealina: "if i can make it to the forest edge...I can pass through my forest roots"
Riddik: Then why don’t we all leave then. Why go for help? There’s apparently nobody left alive here.
Hi’el: "It's for certain there are more out there. Trea, you should go back and bring help."
Riddik shrugs, and continues to barricade the windows.
Trealina nods placing the remaining arrow and one of the scimitars back in its sheath
Hi’el: "Riddik, she has a special ability that will let her travel safely back to Elm Shade. We can stay here and defend this place."
Hi’el: "Get all the doors shut. Look for any other entrances not previously found."
Trealina: Meilikki grant me the speed and safe passage I need
Hi’el walks over to Trea, and grabs her shoulders to look in her eyes
Riddik walks down the hall Hi’el couldn’t go down. Looking around.
Hi’el: "You have to be fast as the wind. I'll cover your escape with my bow from the front yard. Don't stop for anything. We need holy water."
Trealina: Be ready to let me back in....you will know by the jade plant in the air that it is me"
Hi’el-Hallway: 30' long, one window at the end on the west wall (broken out), two doors on the north wall, and one on the south.
Hi’el squeezes her shoulders and gives her a quick hug. He whispers
Hi’el: "Meilikki Protect and Look Out for you."
Riddik first checks the doors, ripping them off their hinges, thinking he'll need them later for barricading.
Trealina goes to the front door.... drops her shoulder bag next to it

Trealina: "As the wind feet as the wind"
Hi’el puts his sabers down and pulls his bow, knocking an arrow. He tells her
Hi’el: "Ready?"
Trealina nods...starts running across the farm towards the forest
Hi’el-Doors: Come free easily enough.
Hi’el-Game: There are almost 200 paces from the farmhouse to the forest edge.
Riddik looks inside each room as he collects the doors, and works his way down the hall.
Hi’el steps into the doorway, and holds his bow at the ready, watching her run.
Trealina runs as swiftly as she can
Hi’el-Rooms: South room = bedroom with two windows east and south wall. 1st north door = interior bathroom no windows, 2nd north door = 2nd bedroom.
Hi’el-2nd bedroom: two windows also, one north wall, one east wall.
Hi’el-Game: Trea roll % dice
Riddik snorts, once satisfied there’s no undead inside, and use the doors he has to barricade those bedroom windows, and the one at the end of the hall.
Trealina: (7%)
Hi’el-Run: Trea makes is almost completely across the open fields before she spies something bursting from the treeline. It comes running at her in long bounding leaps. She recognizes it immediately as the skeleton of a bear coming toward her.
Hi’el-Game: Roll for surprise (Trea)
Hi’el-Game: Roll for initiative. State action (Trea).
Hi’el-Windows: The whole house is as effectively as possible barricade. There are now planks across all the windows providing greater protection.
Trealina (8 on surprise ...Dryads don’t surprise easily...(9init)
Trealina Pulls her second scimitar holding the blades tilted to hit the bear bones with the flat of the blade
Trealina: "Poor creature... let me send you back to the earthen soil where you belong"
Hi’el-Bear Skeleton: The critter comes right at you. Your way is blocked by the bear to the forest. It comes at you and lashes out with a bite, and trips and falls flat on its face before Trea (Nat 1).
Trealina: (lol)
Trealina: "Nice of you to help me with that...May Meilikki lay you to rest"
Hi’el can't get in any attacks. Trea is in the way.
Riddik moves back out into the common room of the house, and uses the last of his spikes to jamb the doors leading outside. Even the one Hi'el's at..."Use the gaps in the windows. I want to get this place sealed tight."
Hi’el-Game: Trea roll to hit
Trealina: (2init) (attack s 15)
Hi’el-Game: Riddik roll %
Hi’el nods at Riddik's words, and replies
Hi’el: "Yea, in a moment. We got company outside."
Hi’el-Game: Trea roll damage for blade attack
Riddik looks outside where Hi’el is looking, and shakes his head..."See. I told you it was a bad idea. She'll get killed out there."
Trealina: (4pts)
Hi’el smirks, and tells him
Hi’el: "Have faith. The bear thing is on the ground and she's still standing."
Hi’el-Bear Skeleton: The flat of the blades smacks into the right shoulder arm of the beasty, but it still moves. The critter rise up before Trea standing on its back legs and takes a swipe at her with a paw, missing (hit:5)
Hi’el-Game: New init (Trea)
Trealina (next round...init 6.attack 20 dmg 8 {guessmy dice like this atmosphere better.that or they know the dice store is next door)
Riddik: I have faith in one thing...and that’s quick wits. But I hope your right anyway.
Hi’el nods, and secretly hopes he was right too.
Hi’el-Bear Skeleton: Trea's next attack smashes the blades on to the left shoulder of the bony animal, and the power of the strike collapse it into a heap of white bones.
Hi’el exclaims
Hi’el: "She killed it."
Hi’el yells
Hi’el: "Go!"
Trealina takes a quick look around then heads towards the forest again
Hi’el-Game: Trea roll %
Hi’el tells the Minotaur
Trealina: (26%)
Hi’el: "Riddik, we need to figure out how to defend this place."
Riddik: Well I’ve blockaded the windows and doors. I don’t think there’s much else to do except wait it out.
Riddik: Those things shouldn’t be able to get in, and if anything is big enough, we can worry about that when the time comes.
Hi’el-Observation: Trea's glance at the area reveals that in the forest line beyond the barn and house large slow shambling silhouettes were emerging from the forest.
Riddik holds out his long sword, and practice swings it.... grinning to Hi’el
Hi’el nods, and tells him
Hi’el: "You take the bedrooms. I'll take the living room and kitchen."
Riddik: So I take it were not gettin much sleep tonight. Heh, that’s ok... who can sleep anyway with those things around.
Riddik walks back down the hall, patrolling the bedrooms.
Hi’el-Run: Trea is just 30 paces from the forest's edge.
Trealina Speaks to the plants ...
Hi’el smiles at that, and nods saying
Hi’el: "Time enough to sleep when you ain't breathing no more."
Trealina: "plants of mother Meilikki and Dryad Kin...grant thy allies time, entangling the evil of the forest with in your vines, hold them back so that I may cross for help! In Meilikki's name grant this "

Riddik looks back to Hi’el...stomping the floor..."Hey! Is there a basement in this place?"
Hi’el-Game: Trea you misunderstood. The silhouettes are behind you closer to the house, quite distant from where she stands.
Trealina: (should still be plants around that I spoke to earlier?"
Hi’el-Game: Yes, but too distant for the power of your druid spell to effect.
Hi’el shrugs, not knowing if there was a basement or not, and
replies
Hi’el: "Don't know. Might be a good idea to find out."
Hi’el-Run: Trea reaches the edge of the forest.
Riddik uses his sword to pry up a couple floorboards in the common room. Ripping them up once loosened.
Trealina steps up close to a near by tree. She walks into it and disappears into the forest heading straight for ES
Hi’el-Living room: Before Riddik can put blade to floor board, a padded chair goes flipping into the air, and crashes against the east wall, when a square section of the floor is hit from below.
Hi’el-Game: Riddik roll for surprise
Riddik: (3)
Hi’el-Trap door: A section of the floor burst open, and out of it a rotted arm reaches to pull through an even more rotted face and torso into the room.
Hi’el-Game: Roll initiative
Riddik: (2 +4 weapon speed, -2 rctn=4)
Hi’el stands back from living room, and closes the door. He yells
Hi’el: "There's your answer. This place has got a basement."
Riddik runs over to the zombie and slashes at its arms holding it up. Then kicks it with a hoof, to knock it back down.
Riddik: (Sword= adj 11. Kick= adj13)
Hi’el-Game: Roll damage for attacks
Riddik: (Sword =13, kick=8)
Hi’el-Zombie: Ride’s blade cleaves the head of the putrefying figure, releasing more rotting stench into the room, and his kick send the ugly bastard back down into the darkness. Another pair of bony hands and rotting hands reaches up to try and exit the basement.
Riddik grabs for the trap door, and tries to slam it back down shut, and stand on top of it. (Init=6)
Hi’el-Trap door: More undead in the basement start to climb through the opening in the floor (init 10). The door slams shut, and barely lifts as something beneath pushes on it barely lifting Riddik.
Riddik takes his sword and tries to jamb it in the trapdoor seem. Attempting to jamb the door shut. (Init=5)
Hi’el-Front door: The main entrance of the farmhouse slams open as riddik stand on the trap door.
Hi’el-Front door: The spikes clatter across the floor as a large wreaking figure squeezes through the door.
Hi’el pulls his two sabers and attacks the beast, holding at bay in the doorway.
Hi’el-Trap door: Several of the spikes from the main door skittered across the floor to where Riddik stands.
Riddik pulls out the other wrapped sword from his pack, and discards the wrappings from it. Armed again.
Hi’el-Trap door: Riddik successfully jams the door with his other sword.
Riddik (Not the other one, just leave the first one there for now, and arm himself again with the second.
Hi’el slams both blades home in the ugly brute with amazing facility (hit 19 & 16) slicing cuts across the abdomen twice (6hps and 8hps).
Riddik grabs up the other spikes that slid to him with his free hand, and runs over toward Hi’el to help. Chopping down with his sword. (Init=8)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie: It bashes the Silenni in the chest (8hps), and sends him reeling back a few steps. He keeps his hold on both sabers. Hearing Riddik's approach, he yells
Hi’el: "No. Stay back. Look to the rear of the house!"
Riddik skids to a stop, and turns reluctantly back to the rear of the house.
Hi’el-Cracking wood: The sound of splintering wood comes from the Kitchen, and then the sound of the door smashing against the wall.
Riddik runs back to the kitchen, sword ready to hack at the first ugly he sees.
Riddik: (Init= 3)
Hi’el comes back at the critter in the door way and slashes with one blade striking deep across the belly again (12hps)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie: The beasty spews rotting filth from its gut across the floor and splashes in it as it collapses.
Riddik: (ewwww...zombie goo)
Hi’el-Back door: Another large figure pushes into the entrance, just as rotting and putrid as the rest they'd met so far.
Riddik rushes the creature, slashing with his sword..."Damn corpses!! DIE AGAIN!!!" (Init=3)
Riddik: (correction Init=7)
Riddik: *correction
Hi’el-Game: Roll hits (riddik)

Hi’el-Game: Roll damage (riddik)
Riddik: (15 Dmg)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie 2: The blade, Riddik punches through the critter's chest with his sword. The black blood coats his blade but the creature still stands. It swings but misses Riddik.
Hi’el-Game: Next attack
Riddik swings the awkward elven long sword again, wishing he had a real one...chopping at the creature. (Init= 4, Sword=Adj 5 to hit, 14 Dmg)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie 2: The minotaur's last attack misses, not abysmally so, but still misses nonetheless. In return, the ugly puss sore bashes him in the chest also (13 hps)
Hi’el-Game: Observation for Hi’el = 18%
Hi’el-Game: Round 5, make attacks
Riddik skids backward from the massive blow, holding his chest, and grimacing in pain. He looks up at the creature, and roars...looking real pissed. He chops at the corpse again. (Init=7, Sword=Adj. 20, 9 dmg)
Hi’el hears a new noise from outside the front door.
Hi’el-Giant Zombie 2: Riddik hammers the blade through beasts left shoulder and drops the black bleeding smelly bad smelly critter to the floor dead as it should be.
Hi’el-Undead: Growling voice deep voice comes from outside the farmhouse.
Riddik grabs the door the door that was knocked down, and tries to replace it, jamming more spikes he was holding into the seams again.
Hi’el-Undead: Growling voice deep voice comes from outside the farmhouse, it cries out "Fresh blood, new meat. Must feed!"
Hi’el-Back Door: The big dead brute in the doorway blocks the door from being shut.
Riddik retreats to the inner kitchen door, taking the other door with him, and tries to jamb up the door there.
Hi’el stands at the ready both blades held for the attack to come. He waits (init 6).
Riddik: (Init=1)
Hi’el-Front door: A humanoid figure launches itself through the door at the Silenni claws flying and mouth snapping to get his blood.
Riddik looks over to Hi’el...."What are you doing...get that door back up or we wont last the night with all these things."
Hi’el sweeps both blades across in an arc, hitting the beastie at chest (12hps) and stomach (10hps). Over his shoulder, he yells
Hi’el: "No? Really I never thought of that!"
Hi’el-Undead: The newest nastier screams out and drops hacked to pieces by the Silenni, and drops to the floor.
Hi’el yells
Hi’el: "Help me clear the door, now!!"
Riddik runs over to help Hi’el clear the doorway.
Hi’el grabs the smaller humanoid figure and flings it back outside. Then helps riddik with the larger critter.
Hi’el closes the door, and tells Riddik
Hi’el: "We need more wood planking."
Riddik uses some spikes on the door Hi’el shut. Then looks to Hi’el. .."I wouldn’t suggest getting it from the floorboards."
Hi’el-Trap door: A constant thumping sound can be heard from below as whatever was below sought to break out into the living room.
Hi’el looks back over his shoulder at the trapdoor and nods his agreement, saying
Hi’el: "Yea, not a good idea."
Riddik finishes with the door, and walks over to the trap door to jamb some spikes in it as well. Once finished he'll retrieve his sword that was jamming it.
Hi’el (((Were gonna stop here for now)))

Riddik: (ok. Had fun Hiel. C ya)

Hi’el-Living Room: The room in which the Silenni and Minotaur find themselves is twenty foot square. Two windows (1: south wall, 1:east wall), two doors (1 external: south wall, 1 interior: north wall), fire place (1:east wall), hallway (1:northwest corner)
Riddik will start using what furniture there is to reinforce the doors and windows.
Hi’el-Living Room: ...trapdoor (1: northeast corner).
Hi’el-Time: Early evening, almost two hours after sunset.
Riddik look to Hi’el..."There’s another half dead one in the kitchen. We should drag it out too, so we can fully secure the house. Then we need to deal with the ones downstairs." looks down to the floorboards.
Hi’el-Game: Riddik gave up the kitchen and boarded up the doorway between it and the living room.
Riddik: was thinkin of takin it back.
Hi’el looks at the floor, and states
Hi’el: "Until they start becoming a threat they stay down there. We hold what we got here. Maybe we have to retreat down there."
Hi’el-Game: HP Check. Riddik I have you at 28, confirm.
Riddik: Well if we ever have to do that, wouldn’t you prefer it to be safe and clear? (I have 18 HP)
Hi’el nods, and tells him
Hi’el: "We need to look for weapons, and if we want any healing, I need to get some rest, but I don't foresee the likelihood of that happening. Let's take back the kitchen."
Riddik nods,"Ok. Once we secure this place a little better, Ill keep watch so you can sleep some."
Hi’el looks over at the fireplace, and states
Riddik heads for the kitchen door he barricaded, and listens to it.
Hi’el: "We should get a fire going also."
Riddik glances to Hi'el, while listening to the door. "Ok, good idea. Ya wanna clear the kitchen first? Or start a fire?"
Hi’el-Noise: Beyond the door, Riddik hears nothing dead silence.... not a peep or squeak or whisper... nada.
Hi’el replies
Hi’el: "The fire can wait for now. Let's get the kitchen back."
Riddik shrugs. "Seems clear, don’t hear anything."...And un-barricades the door.
Riddik creeks the door open a bit, and peeks inside.
Hi’el-Kitchen: The back door to the outside lays on the floor. The room is empty.
Riddik uses his alertness and observation, as he opens the door and enters the room. His right hand unsheathes a sword as he goes.
Hi’el-Kitchen: Another 20 foot square room. 2 windows (1:north wall, 1:east wall), 1 external door (north wall). All loose furniture used to barricade the doors and windows. Only cupboards and shelves remain.
Hi’el moves to the doorway, and stays there to watch the rest of the house.
Riddik gathers wood and door parts to try and barricade the exterior door again.
Hi’el tells Riddik
Hi’el: "Be careful around that door. Check before you gather anything."
Riddik nods, keeping his sword gripped tightly as he looks out side the doorway, to see if anything is there.
Hi’el-Game: Roll Observation check.
Hi’el-Game: ( % )
Riddik: (Rolled a 3. Success!!)
Riddik: (I’ve got the proficiency; you want me to roll it, or your %.
Hi’el-Game: ( % )
Hi’el-Game: You rolled a 3 on a twenty, that equates to a 15%. Just use % from now on.
Hi’el-Observation: Riddik's quick check outside proves to be a life saver as he barely sees a giant skeleton coming around the west side of the house toward the door (20 paces). The skeleton is hard to see with infravision, no heat and at ambient night temp.
Hi’el-Combat: Round 1. Roll for initiative.
Hi’el calls out
Hi’el: "See anything?"
Riddik quickly ducks back inside, and to the side of the doorway, looking to Hi’el...."Its a Big skeleton coming around the west end."

Riddik: (Init=6)
Hi’el nods, and tells him
Hi’el: "Get back here, watch the interior. You watch my back."
Riddik moves back beside Hi’el, looking strangely at him..."What're you gonna do?"
Hi’el smirks and replies
Hi’el: "Kill it! What else did you have in mind?"
Hi’el-Combat: Round 1. Hi’el, Riddik and Skeleton in that order.
Hi’el moves into the doorway, and whirls his sabers, limbering up. AS the skeleton comes in sight, he immediately attacks with the blades (14:hit, 15:hit).
Hi’el yells
Hi’el: "Die by Meilikki!!!"
Riddik turns and watches the room, holding his init, waiting for something else to jump out.
Hi’el-Skeleton: Both of the Silenni's blades strike home the first hammers down upon the bony guy's head (4hps), and the 2nd blade cuts into the bone of the right leg (4hps). The bony beast clubs the edge of the doorway splintering the jamb.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 1. START Round 2. Roll for initiative.
Riddik looks around, prodding with his sword, through the rubble in the room, looking for suitable boards to board up the doorway.
Riddik: (Finishing up his init hold.)
Riddik: (Init=9)
Hi’el-Combat: Round 2. No change. Hi’el, Riddik and Skeleton in that order.
Hi’el whips the sabers about, flailing them at the skeleton (6:miss, nat 1) all the while yelling
Hi’el: "Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!"
Riddik decides to step up and help Hi’el this round, thinking nothing else is in the kitchen. He finds an opening after watching Hi’el's loud display, and slashes own with his L.Sword. (Adj 14 to Hit. ooo Max DMG 18.)
Hi’el-Skeleton: Both of the Silenni's blades miss the skeleton, but his 2nd blade doesn't miss Riddik, catching him in the left arm (7hps). The skeleton takes the hit from the minotaur to the left shoulder (9hps), but remains in the fight.
Hi’el: (he found an opening all right)
Riddik: Ow!
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 2. START Round 3. Roll for initiative.
Riddik: (Init=5)
Hi’el cringes and yells
Hi’el: "Sorry, you might want to get back."
Hi’el-Combat: Round 3. Skeleton, Riddik, Hi’el in that order.
Hi’el-Skeleton: It pushes its way inside the kitchen crouched over, and swings the club at Riddik, missing the minotaur's chest by a healthy distance.
Riddik backs away from the battle, giving Hi’el plenty of room.
Hi’el covers the minotaur's retreat, and attacks with both blades (18:hit, 12:miss), going high and low.
Hi’el-Skeleton: The first of the Silenni's blades strikes home in the lefts shoulder of the beasty (7hps). The blow causes the bony guy to explode into bone fragments, eliminated. Hi’el's second attack misses.
Hi’el-Combat: END Combat.
Hi’el looks over his shoulder, and asks
Hi’el: "How bad are you hurt?"
Riddik: I’ve been hurt since we got here.
Hi’el tells the minotaur
Hi’el: "Dig in your survival pack. There should be bandages and who knows what else the priests put in there."
Riddik pulls the pack out, and looks inside, going through its contents.
Hi’el looks outside the doorway once more for anymore trouble
Riddik: (Any heal stuff in it?)
Hi’el-Pack: The contents of the pack are as follows as pertains to medical supplies (2 healing potions, 1 poison antidote, 6 treated bandages).
Riddik will drink a healing potion right off.
Hi’el ducks back inside when he finds nothing outside that poses a threat. He stabs his blades in the floor and quickly starts barricading the door once more.
Riddik then looks to Hi’el...holding up the bandages..."Do you know how to work these Hi’el?"
Hi’el-Game: Is Riddik merely acting in character not know that treating with bandages and then drinking the potion will get him more hp back? Or does the player not know that?
Riddik: (Naw he just doesn’t have the healing proficiency, he can drink the potions, but he can’t use the bandages. You need the Healing Prof. to use them.
Hi’el-Game: Putting on bandages takes NO healing proficiency. The bandages are already prepared by healers.
Riddik: (Ok, you're the DM. I thought it was a priestly prof.)
Hi’el yells over his shoulder, as he works to spike the door shut
Riddik uses the bandages as well, on himself.
Hi’el: "One moment! Let me get this door closed."
Riddik: (how many bandages will I use for Riddik.)
Hi’el-Game: Bandages do NO good after drinking a healing potion or receiving curative magics. One bandage can be applied per accrued wound.
Riddik: (ok. Ill save them then. And the other potion.)
Riddik: (How many HP did I get back?)
Hi’el-Potion: Upon drinking the potion, renewed vigor flows through his veins and all damaged parts of his body start to knit and repair themselves (8hps).
Hi’el: (lucky roll)
Riddik then puts the rest away, and re-shoulders the pack. He then stands, and goes over to Help Hi’el with the door.
Riddik: (cool)
Hi’el completes barricading the door after several minutes.
Hi’el states
Hi’el: "All done."
Riddik: Good. Now there’s only one problem. The cellar.
Hi’el nods, and starts looking through all the cupboards and shelves. He tells Riddik
Hi’el: "I know. Search for anything useful."
Hi’el stops looking and goes reclaim his sabers
Riddik nods, and helps Hi’el search the kitchen, then moving on to the rest of the house if necessary.
Riddik will bar up any windows in the kitchen as well.
Riddik is most likely running low on spikes, and wood to barricade stuff.
Hi’el-Search: The house coughs up 7 bandages, 15 spikes and 8 flasks of lamp oil.
Riddik tucks those away safely in his pack.
Hi’el-Crash: A sharp sound of wood splintering and spikes squealing as they're pried loose comes from the living room.
Hi’el-Time: Almost four hours after sunset.
Hi’el jumps up from searching a cupboard, and rushes to the living room with his sabers in hand.
Riddik leaves the pack there in the corner, and pulls his sword. He heads to the living room, following Hi’el.
Hi’el yells
Hi’el: "We gotta stop them from getting inside!"
Riddik snorts, shaking his head, and gripping tight to his sword as he enters the room. Also shaking off the pain as well, as his previous wounds ache, and stab at him at every movement.
Hi’el-Front Door: The barricaded door to the living room was being forced open from outside. A rotted fleshy arm was pushing at the spiked boards trying to get the door fully opened.
Hi’el-Combat: START Round 1. All PCs roll initiative.
Riddik: (Init=1)
Hi’el-Combat: Round 1. Riddik, Hi’el, baddy in that order. Take action.
Hi’el-Game: Roll observation check.
Riddik strides up to the door with a couple large strides, and brings his coven foot up hard against the door. He presses with all his STR to keep the door shut, and leans to the side, to make room for Hi’el to slash arms.
Riddik: (34%)
Riddik: (Kick to hit. Adj 16. Dmg. 4 subdue.)
Riddik: (20 STR)
Hi’el-Observation: New sounds of wood cracking and spikes being ripped out come from elsewhere in the house.
Riddik looks to Hi’el..."Crap. I can hear them breakin in somewhere else in the house Hi’el. I got this, you go look."
Hi’el answers
Hi’el: "I hear them too. Sounds like they're coming from the bedrooms. I'll go see!"
Hi’el takes off, and sprints down the hallway to check the doors sound and north.
Riddik: (Init=8)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Front Door: The large smelly brute at the door smashes against the door (8hps; and still holds together)
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 1. START Round 2. Roll initiative.
Hi’el-Combat: Round 2. Hi’el, Riddik, baddies in that order. Take action.
Hi’el slides to a stop outside the doorway to the south bedroom, and finds a giant zombie half way in the room. He yells
Hi’el: "We got more company!"
Hi’el launches his blades at the large zombie while it's still handicapped crawling through the window. He jumps on to the bed and starts slashing with the sabers (13:hit, 12:hit).
Riddik: keeps pressure on the door, and slides his sword through a crack, to stab at the creature. Maybe get him away from the door on his side. (Adj 15 to hit. That’s with-4 adjustment.)
Riddik: (11 dmg)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Southern Bedroom: Slimy putrefying corpse lashes out at the Silenni, missing his chest. Hi’el drives both sabers home, slicing cuts in the thing's left arm (5hps) and then its left leg (10hps).
Hi’el-Game: Ensure Riddik is doing damage against a LARGE target.
Riddik: L sword d10/d10. Same for both.))
Hi’el-Game: Negative Ghost Rider. Lrg damage for a long sword is a D12.
Hi’el-Game: Standard damage is D8.
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Front Door: Riddik's blade strikes home through the gaps in the barricade, sticking the smelly brute outside in the chest (11hps). The beasty retaliates, ineffectually battering itself against the door (still intact).
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 2. START Round 3. Roll initiative.
Riddik: (Init=4)
Hi’el-Combat: Round 3. Riddik, Hi’el, baddies in that order. Take action.
Riddik: (Maybe I was thinkin of 2 Handed swords dmg. hmm.)
Hi’el: (nah, d10/3d6)
Riddik holds the door, not going to give up. He looks around the vicinity for anything to pry up against the door.
Hi’el-Front Door: Nothing is within reach that isn't already used for barricading the door or would be of any use.
Hi’el leaps over the beasty lashing out with both sabers at the legs (5:miss, nat 20).
Riddik keeps holding the door, sneering at his luck. He looks back toward the halls..."Hi’el!? I don’t know how much longer I can hold em."
Hi’el calls back
Hi’el: "Hey, what choice do we have! This one is having problems coming through the window!"
Riddik shakes his head snorting, if he’s gonna die, it's gonna be fightin. He then leaps back away from the door, and readies his sword for whatever bursts in.
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Front Door: The rotting stench ridden corpse throws itself once more against the door... VERY HARD (nat 20, 10hps, door and barricade is smashed), but the zombie also broke itself in the process and collapses in the wood fragments.
Riddik looks down at the creature..."Stupid." He then slashes down with his sword to cut its head off, just to be sure.
Riddik: (is the door repairable? or toast?)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Southern Bedroom: Hi'el's first blade missed its mark, but the 2nd one strikes hard cutting through the waist of the beasty (19hps), stilling the creature from moving again.
Hi’el calls out
Hi’el: "One more down! You doing okay, Riddik?"
Riddik: Yeah, this one in here knocked itself silly.
Hi’el-Time: Five hours after sunset.
Hi’el looks outside the window for more walking corpses
Riddik tries to repair the door, and re-barricade it.
Hi’el-Game: Riddik roll observation check.

Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Front Door: A thick heavy club suddenly smashes against the door jam of the house causing the whole building to shudder, but the club rebounds, smashing the bony dude wielding it in the head (15hps). The skeleton reels backward from...
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Front Door: hitting itself.
Hi’el-Game: Roll observation check.
Riddik almost jumps from his skin, not seeing the creature.... and draws his sword. (OC=71%)
Hi’el completes his repairs on the window, and perks his ears backwards.
Hi’el calls out
Hi’el: "Hey! What the blazes what that!!! (Referring to the impact of the club on the house)"
Hi’el-Observation: Riddik is a little busy dealing with a new concern, so he misses the new sounds of wood splintering and spikes shrieking as they're ripped out of wood. Hi'el hears the noises though.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 1. START Round 2. Roll initiative.
Riddik: (Init=9)
Hi’el-Combat: Round 2. Hi’el, baddy, Riddik, baddy in that order. Take action.
Hi’el detect the noises coming from the northern bedroom, and crosses into the room in time to find another giant skeleton smashing it's way inside. He stabs the right saber in floor, and pulls free a flask from his belt. He pops the cap off, and slings....
Hi’el ...the open end of the flask toward the skeletal beasty (6:misses direct hit, 15:hits with splash).
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Northern Window: Holy water from the flask splashes on skeleton (1hp). The skeleton thrusts its club at the Silenni, missing due to the narrow confines of the window.
Riddik slashes at the one that scared the wits out of him, pissed the thing snuck up on him. ((Adj 7 to hit. 11 Dmg.))
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Front Door: Riddik's swing misses its mark. The walking bone bag comes back at the minotaur, swinging like a home run hitter. The club connects, bruising Riddik's left leg (7hps).
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 2. START Round 3. Roll initiative.
Riddik: (Init=8)
Hi’el-Combat: Round 3. baddy, baddy, Hi’el, Riddik in that order. Take action.
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Front Door: The ugly outside the door almost tags the minotaur a 2nd time, but misses pummeling his gut.
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Northern Window: Through the window, the giant skeleton stabs his club, hitting the Silenni in the chest (7hps) and knocking him off his hooves.
Hi’el cries out in pain and surprise as he goes flying back into the room.
Hi’el: "aaaaaaaaaaaaa"
Hi’el rolls to a halt against the far wall of the room, and looks around for his swords, spying them lying in the middle of the room.
Hi’el rubs his chest, that was the second time he'd been hit there this night.
Riddik swings again at the hulking skeleton. (Hit Adj 22. Dmg18.)
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Front Door: The long sword wielded by the minotaur cracks into the skeleton's ribcage (9hps), caving it partially in. The critter however refuses to stop moving like a good corpse should.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 3. START Round 4. Roll initiative.
Riddik: (Init=4)
Hi’el-Combat: Round 4. Hi’el, baddy, Riddik, baddy in that order. Take action.
Hi’el rolls to his hooves and gathers up his blades, but doesn't attack this round, staying clear of the window.
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Northern Window: The walking calcium deposit starts to climb through the window unmolested by the Silenni.
Riddik hacks again at the creature, putting all his strength behind it. (Hit Adj 17. 15 Dmg)
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Front Door: The next hit of the minotaur's long sword smashes the left shoulder (7hps) of the bone heap, making one out of it. Bone bits scatter all across the room and porch outside.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 4. START Round 5. Roll initiative.
Hi’el-Combat: Round 5. Hi’el, baddy in that order. Take action.
Hi’el launches his blades at skeletal baddy. He sends his first blade cutting into lower ribcage of the monster (adj 20). His next attack goes far astray (nat 1) as his blade slices open his own right arm (6hps).
Hi’el screams out his pain and stupidity
Hi’el: "EEEEEEEeeekkkkkkkkkkkk"
Hi’el manages to hold onto swords in spite of almost loping off his arm.
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Northern Window: The Silenni's first blade cut the lower ribs of the skeleton, doing partial damage to the baddy (6hps). The beasty itself swipes with its club but misses the Hi’el's left shoulder.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 5. START Round 6. Roll initiative.
Hi’el-Combat: Round 6. Hi’el, baddy in that order. Take action.
Hi’el grits his teeth at the pain of his self-inflicted wound, but launches into his attacks on the baddy anyways (missing with both attacks 4/3).
Hi’el curses through clenched teeth his terrible luck, and back pedals from the beasty trying to avoid its attacks.
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Northern Window: The unfortunate Silenni suffers even more bad luck when the skeleton's club clips his left arm (8hps). Hi’el barely holds onto his blade after the hit.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 6. START Round 7. Roll initiative.
Hi’el-Combat: Round 7. Hi’el, baddy in that order. Take action.
Hi’el spins away from the blow that clipped his left arm, and through the pain, completes a successful series of attacks (adj22, adj14).
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Northern Window: Both of the Silenni's sabers bite into the skeleton, striking it in the chest (7hps) and right shoulder (5hps). The skeleton hammered by two damaging blows, misses with its own attack.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 7. START Round 8. Roll initiative.
Hi’el-Combat: Round 8. Hi’el, baddy in that order. Take action.
Hi’el follows up two slashes toward the legs of the beasty, having only partial success (adj 10; adj19).
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Northern Window: Only one of Hi’el's saber's strikes home against the right thigh bone of the skeleton (6hps). The nasty walking bone heap trades the Silenni a blow to his right arm (9hps), but doesn't disarm the warrior.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 8. START Round 9. Roll initiative.
Hi’el-Combat: Round 9. Hi’el, baddy in that order. Take action.
Hi’el gets beaten about the bedroom like a red headed stepchild, but continues to attack the damnable beast. He slashes up with his left blade (adj 9) and crosses over with his right blade (adj 17).
Hi’el-Giant Skeleton @ Northern Window: The 1st attack of the Shadoweir plainly misses the undead foe, but his second attack connects, striking through right shoulder and ribcage (4hps). The last blow finally obliterates the mobile bone heap.
Hi’el-Combat: END Combat.
Hi’el groans in horrible pain, and leans against the bedpost, bruised, bloodied and hurting
Hi’el-Time: Six hours after sunset

Hi’el-Game: Roll Observation Check Riddik
Riddik: (12)
Riddik: (Success)
Hi’el-Observation: As the minotaur, stands there in the living room with Kibbles and Bits, er I mean zombie muck and skeleton bits all around, he hears this weak mewling voice call out "Help me! Get me out of here!" The voice comes from somewhere below.
Riddik looks down, moving across the floorboards...trying to locate the voices source. "Hey Hi’el! There’s somethin down here!"
Hi’el exits the room where he'd been fighting the giant skeleton and comes down the hall backward sliding along it. He looks rough having taken quite a beating. He keeps his eyes on the hallway, having left the window unboarded.
Hi’el-Observation: The voice continues and comes from near the trapdoor. "Let me out before they come back!"
Riddik pulls his sword, pointing down to the floor, looking hunched over, and beat up badly as well. "We both know what’s down there. Its gotta be a trick."
Riddik moves over to the trap door, listening to it. He looks to Hi’el perplexed..."Maybe these things can talk?"
Hi’el looks back over his shoulder, his ears perk at the voice coming muffled from below, and nods his agreement. He tells Riddik "Yes, it's gotta be a trick. What do you think?"
Riddik shakes his head looking at the trap door..... "I don’t know. There’s no other way down there is there?"
Hi’el shrugs, saying, "I don't think so. Wanna throw a couple of those oil flasks down there and clear em out?"
Riddik nods,"Sounds like a good idea. We can take a look while were at it too."
Riddik pulls out the oil flasks, and hands them to Hi’el...."You throw them, I’ll use my sword to keep them back, and hold the door."
Hi’el looks around the living room, and points toward the front door, saying, "We should get the door barricade first."
Hi’el takes the flasks and sets them next to the trap door.
Riddik: No need. I can make a door if needed. *chuckles*
Hi’el looks behind him at the hallway, and tells Riddik "The window in the north room is open for any of them to come in so watch it also."
Riddik nods to Hi’el, and begins taking out the spikes, jamming the trap door. Once done, he gets his sword ready...then flings open the door...looking down in.
Hi’el puts away his sabers, and bows his head to his chest with his eyes shut quietly whispering a prayer "Great Goddess, I face the greatest atrocity to Nature known. I face un-life, an abomination of the natural order of things. I humbly call upon the....
Hi’el "...burning blades to use on our foes."
Hi’el-Game: Roll for surprise
Riddik: (2)
Riddik: (crap, forgot you use %. 86%)
Hi’el: (no)
Riddik: (first roll was on a d6)
Riddik: (normal surprise roll dice)
Hi’el-Game: Surprise is rolled with a d10. A roll of 1, 2, 3 = surprise.

Hi’el-Combat: Round 1. Baddy, Riddik and Hi’el in that order. Take action.
Hi’el-Undead @ Trapdoor: The moment the trapdoor opens a rank nauseating odor wafts up from the cellar as black figure leaps clear out of the area below into the room, throwing itself at Riddik catching him in the abdomen to tackle him.
Hi’el-Game: Riddik roll dex check +4 penalty.
Riddik: (Dex 17 - 4= 13. Roll= 13, barely.)
Hi’el-Undead @ Trapdoor: The creature screams out as leaps into the room, crying out "Raaa, fresh meat! I'll swallow your soul!!!"
Hi’el-Game: Riddik staggers backwards but remains on his hooves.
Riddik brings his sword up, flipping his wrist and grabbing the sword again in midair, grasping it pointing downward. He then roars, and thrusts the blade down into the creatures back with all his might. (Adj 21 to hit. 16 Dmg.)
Hi’el-Game: Riddik bit of sword chicanery pays off as he skewers the rank smelling creature through the upper back, causing terrible damage. It slumps unmoving to the floor at his hooves.
Hi’el has his prayer answered as from his hand bursts a 3' blade of flame. He stares at the dead beasty, and then glance back at the trap door in time to exclaim "Whoa!!!" Hi’el ducks away from the vicious swipe of a sickle swung by a skeleton clambering up...
Hi’el ... stairs. He slashes down at the skull-faced critter and puts the head (17 hit) off the things shoulders (10hps) sending it back down into the darkness.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 1. BEGIN Round 2. Roll Initiative.
Riddik: (Init=7)
Hi’el-Trapdoor/Front Door: Something stirs down in the darkness below, and rotted hand reaches up to grasp a step of the stairs. A rotted putrescent face with cataracted eyes, no nose, black teeth hoves into view. From behind them, a gravelly growling ...
Hi’el-Trapdoor/Front Door: ... voice screams "You'll pay for that!!! I'll rip your heart out, and eat it before your dying eyes!!"
Hi’el-Combat: Round 2. Hi’el, Baddies, Riddik in that order. Take action.
Hi’el glances at the floor then the door, and yells to Riddik "Take the door! I got this one!" He stabs downward with the burning blade, skewering the beastie in the hollow of the throat (17hit), and sends it back into the pit below (9hps).
Hi’el-Talking Undead @ Front Door: The creature growls and bounds across the room practically flying. It rakes its claws horizontally in opposing directions at Riddik's abdomen. The left claw misses (hit2). The right doesn't (hit16) scoring claw marks (3hps)
Hi’el-Game: Riddik roll saving throw vs paralysis.
Riddik winces at another wound to add to his current collection. He swings wide at the creature, slashing with his sword. (13 to hit. 12 Dmg)
Riddik: ((Save vs Para 14, rolled an 18. Yay!)
Hi’el-Talking Undead @ Front Door: The creature tries to bite Riddik's right arms, but ends up skewering itself on Riddik's sword. The top half of the growling critter's head is cleaved off spraying stinking black gooo on his left arm. The critter slumps over.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 2. BEGIN Round 3. Roll Initiative.
Riddik: (Init=7 again.)
Hi’el-Game: Riddik roll observation check
Riddik: (41%)
Riddik: (I have that prof. does it count at all?)
Priestess: (quit stalling just lay down and die)
Hi’el-Observation: (it's taken into account.) Aside from seeing another giant zombie trying to squeeze through the front door, he also notes a particular sensation from the claw wound like it could've been poisoned or something.
Riddik: (Hey now. Be patient, I'll have em all dead by the time ya'll get here. lol.)
Priestess: (ya’ll are the ones behind...I told ya’ll not to go in the house but no man ever listens to a woman)
Tessa: (or be one OF them...hmmmm)
Hi’el-Combat: Round 2. Riddik Hi’el Baddies in that order. Take action.
Hi’el: (yea, yea, yea... darn backseat party leaders)
Hi’el calls out "Where in blazes are they all coming from?"
Riddik charges the G. Zombie squeezing through the front door. He slings his L Sword in a wide arc behind, and up and over him...bringing the blade down on the thing. (11 to hit. 15 Dmg)
Hi’el: (so he's doing the Conan move?)
Riddik: (Yeah. lol)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Front Door: The creature takes a cut across the abdomen, but keeps coming into the room like a juggernaut.
Hi’el leaps the smashed ruin of the couch, and attacks from the left side of the minotaur at the stinking corpse, missing (hit9).
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Front Door: Up goes the arms of the walking corpse, and hammers Hi’el in the chest (11hps), sending him reeling back against the east wall.
Priestess: (yeeeouch...has Hi’el have any ribs left )
Hi’el cries out "Gahh!", and coughs to the sound of crunching bones. He stumbles back his arms grasping his chest to the wall. He struggles to suck in a new breath.
Priestess: (guess not)
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 3. BEGIN Round 4. Roll Initiative.
Priestess: (what time is it for the players)
Riddik: (Init=4)

Hi’el-Combat: Round 4. Riddik Hi’el Baddies in that order. Take action.
Priestess: (thank you...thin I’ll take a nap. tess can buzz me when its our turn. lol)
Hi’el staggers back toward the combat clutching his chest, still trying to draw in a full breath. He feebly swings the burning blade missing by a several yards with his swing.
Riddik grips tightly on his sword hilt, and swings to the opposite side Hi’el's on, Slashing horizontal at the G. zombie. Then bringing it back up over his head to slash down at it again vertically. (Adj 21, and adj 13 to hit. 13, and 15 Dmg)
Riddik: (keep going, brb)
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Front Door: Riddik's blade cuts a swath through the upper chest of the giant rotting brute, spilling putrescent goo all over the floor. The baddy starts to fall, but the minotaur's second hit splits open its gut spilling stinking...
Hi’el-Giant Zombie @ Front Door: ...entrails across the floor, and speeding the creatures descent to the floor. Dead for sure now.
Hi’el-Combat: END Round 4. END Combat.
Hi’el glances around. His burning blade spell ends. He walks back to the trapdoor and kicks it shut, still clutching his chest.
Riddik goes over to Hi’el, looking to him concerned...."Are you ok?"
Hi’el cough, and tells Riddik "It's getting bad. That one almost put me in hurt locker."
Riddik pats the pack on his side, looking to Hi’el...."I got more bandages if you need."
Hi’el reaches into his survival pack, and tells him "Here you take these healing potions (x2). I'll be fine, if they don't attack for a couple of hours. A ring I got helps me heal fast."
Riddik nods to Hi’el, grinning...."Yep...I use to have a magic ring...got stolen though." He then takes the potions, and nods to Hi’el again smiling.
Hi’el-Time warp: Fours hour are going to go by. State any actions taken during this time period. This will sync up the two parties.
Riddik: Thank ya.
Hi’el rests against the wall for four hours, dozing.
Riddik: (Riddik will first use some more bandages (Heal kind. down to 5 now) on him, then consume both potions.
Riddik: (Riddik also has another 3rd potion already on him, he'll drink that one too.)
Riddik: (You rollin heal Pts, or are we?)
Hi’el-Healing: Riddik's three potions restored 14hps to him (total hps =26). Hi’el regenerates 24hps (total hps = 40).
