The cold's effect on Tessa was starting to slow her down. She felt the biting wind, the extremity-numbing burn, and the ice that seemed to coat anything exposed. The blonde felt her senses becoming dulled and it seemed to be getting harder to put together any kind of coherent thought beyond the word 'heat', which kept echoing in her cold-thickened brain. Each blink came slower and she looked at Bryce, who appeared to be suffering as much as she was. "Wh-hhhheeerrre..?" She was going to ask something but promptly forgot it before the first shivering syllable left her blue lips. Ethan, she thought, bringing her mind back into focus with sheer willpower. "Wh-hh-....ETHAN!?" she shouted through a hoarse throat raw from the cold air. She didn't hear him over the roar of the wind. Tessa swayed a little and closed her eyes, thinking, it would be so nice to just go to sleep. Just lie down right here and drift into sleep. Maybe when I wake up, this will all have been just a bad dream. To the others in the party, it was obvious she was hanging on, but her strength seemed to be fading...

Arms wrapped around himself for wamrth, Bryce winced as the lady called out so close. It was hard enough to hear anything with the wind and the.........hello? He cocked his head to one side, eyebrows drawing together. "Shhhhh....." He warned, then pointed. "I heard something. That way."

Kaze looked at the options available to him. Seeing conditions weren't getting better, He looked at the poor shape of the woman and he felt the tingling cold himself. He looked to the others and nodded to himself. I must. These two can't stay out here for very long. any longer and we may need some form of healing performed. I'm sorry Ethan but three lives are more important then just one.  Kaze Concentrated on the cold and the weather around him. "Bryce come and stand near <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">me.</st1:place></st1:State>" he yells loudly over the wind as he goes to his horse and tessa. the stand near one of the exploded trees. His palms glow the luminecent light blue glow of a spell. Frost, Lunna, help me in the casting of this spell. Kaze starts speaking in a thick elven tounge the words seeming to flow with the wind. "ICE FORM <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">US</st1:place></st1:country-region> A BARRIOR AGAINST THIS ODD WEATHER!!" Kaze yells as his fist drives throught the snow and to the ground. A hemisphere of ice forms overtop of them protecting them from the harsh winds. Once everything solidifies Kaze looks to the two of them. "Bryce i'm sorry but we need to get you two warm. The lives of two are more important then risking all of our lives for one. I'm sorry for your friend but she will be suffering hypothermia if we don't get her warm and you seem to be suffering from the weather too." He looks around at his surroundings seeing th tree that he was near. "Ok, Bryce. Me and you will start moving the snow around the sides of the dome. Snow and ice do wonders for insulation." He turns around to tessa. "Tessa, You need to stay awake." He lightly taps her cheek. "If you sleep you wont get warmer. I promis if you listen to me you will get warmer." He points over to the exploded tree. "Go and collect some wood. If you keep moving you will warm up." He rubbs her arms through his thick cloak that he lent her. He turns around and looks to Bryce. "Anything that resembles a shovel will do good.Even your hands will work if you have gloves" Kaze puts on his gloves and starts digging the snow away from where they are.

Looking at Bryce in slowly dawning understanding, she cocked her head in the direction he had pointed, not hearing anything. The elf quickly took charge and Tessa nodded dumbly at his orders. Anything to keep warm, she thought, although she marveled at his spell-casting abilities. Shivering and pulling the cloak more tightly around her shapely form, she stumbled out into the snow near the tree Kaze had identified, still listening for any kind of call from the missing Ethan. Before gathering an armload of branches, she cupped her frozen hands around her mouth and called out as loudly as she could, "ETHAN! WH-H-HERE A-A-ARE YOU?! CALL OUT IF Y-Y-YOU CAN H-H-HEAR US!"

Time:  Night, D+2 after Night of Wine Sickness and Temple Destruction (D=day);
Location:  Three Leagues North of Elmshade in the Wildlands on the Verge of the Ruins (2+ hours of travel);

ETHAN Info:  Wandering blind through the darkness and blowing snow, the Bounty Hunter's insight into human nature of a woodsman serves him well.  The Man-Hunter finds several more axe-hacked tree stumps, stumbling across them in fact, and by careful examination of each one, begins to get a general idea of where the felled trees point toward the center of what would be a manmade clearing around the hunters' lodge.  In addition, Ethan carefully listening could hear more strongly the wind hissing through the trees and rattling ice cycles in the branches from the opposite direction of the felled trees.  After 30 harrowing worrisome minutes of wandering back and forth in the darkness blindly figuring out the dimensions of the clearing, the nearly frozen Human stumbles upon the hunters' lodge, and after wandering around the small structure finds the door slightly ajar a handsbreadth, no light comes from inside.
REQUIREMENTS:  Roll 3 d20 CON Checks (1/10 min. exposure) with +2 penalty.  Penalty increases by 1 IF roll exceeds CON score (+3, +4 etc.)  Any roll exceeding your CON score lose 1 hp and lower the score by 1 point (also keep in mind to roll against lowered CON score and loss of HP bonus for high CON).  Email me the results, and in your next post annotate HP score (ex. 12/15) and CON score (ex. 14/17).
PARTY Info:  Assuming Bryce follows Kaze's instruction, the Elf completes his incantation, and around them, forms a 38' diameter, 19' high dome of ice 18" thick.  Without the chilling bite of the wind stinging their skin and stealing their heat, the atmosphere inside the dome seems almost pleasantly warm.  The air temperature inside the dome is still below freezing, but more bearable than outside it.  Obviously, a dome with no holes means there is a finite amount of air inside it for everyone to breath.  Warm air rises while the cold air lingers at ground level.  After an hour with everyone working to make the interior of the dome more livable and a SMALL fire, the temperature soon rises above freezing to a cool 50 degrees.

Miserable, cold and beyond cranky, Tessa sat down inside the temporary shelter offered by Kaze's spell and cried. The tears tracking down her face didn't freeze to her pale skin, but she was indeed a pitiful sight compared to her finer-looking moments. She put her bedraggled, wet blonde head in her hands and mumbled in a low whine to herself. "G-gods, why did I e-ever agree to that s-s-s-stupid cleric's request? N-nothing is worth this. I should be s-s-sitting in a s-soft chair in front of a fire and d-drinking b-b-BRANDY!" She sniffled loudly and wiped her nose on her chilled robes. "Damnable priests! Bunch of goody-goody wimps who always send out others to d-do their d-d-dirty work." Of course, anyone who had spent any amount of time in her less than favorable company would have recognized the spoiled-brat attitude stuttering from her lips. But she continued to bitch anyway, just to pass the time and have something to do. "Now we've e-even lost E-E-ETHAN," she grumbled. "Just great! That's just like a man of his caliber - running off when t-things get r-rough. I h-hope he's f-f-frozen by now, the coward." Her words were still clipped by her shivers, but as they were starting to warm a bit, the words grew smoother.

Kaze digs at the snow giving them a small place for a camp fire. The area about 5' in diameter of clear grass. "Tessa." He says interupting her nagging. "Place all of the small pieces of wood in this spot. The large pieces keep seperate from the fire because we will need them for later." He says to her as he clears out another small area for the large pieces of wood. "Come guys only a little more work and we have ourselves a night of warmth."

(Transcribed the chatroom game)
Time: Late night, D+2 after Night of Wine Sickness and Temple Destruction (D=day);
Location: Hunters' Lodge in the Wildlands on the Verge of the Ruins;

Hiel-SETTING: After 30 harrowing worrisome minutes of wandering back and forth in the darkness blindly figuring out the dimensions of the clearing, the nearly frozen Human stumbles upon the hunters' lodge, and after wandering around the small structure ...
Hiel-SETTING: ...finds the door slightly ajar a handsbreadth, no light comes from inside.
Hiel-GAME: Ethan as requested in post 40 of RB Quest for the Wand, I need you to roll you CON CHK d20.
Ethaniel: % rolls = 8, 6, 20)
Hiel-GAME: I'll assume you meant d20 as opposed to %d. In any case, Ethan does okay for the first 20 minutes of searching, but in the last 10 minutes starts to suffer from the cold. -1 HP. Reduce 14 CON to 13 CON (temporary).
Hiel-GAME: Ethan, you're at the door, what do you do? Take action.
Ethaniel look inside where it is dark, wondering why the door is left ajar at this time of weather. I will do my best to inspect the door for any signs of forced entry, and examine the snowy floor below for any signs of recent entry/exit
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Beyond the doorway, it is even darker inside, and in the absence of any light source, nigh impossible to determine any signs of anything.
Hiel-GAME: Ethan roll %d
Ethaniel: %d = 39)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The door doesn't appear to have any jagged, splintered or broken boards indicating it was sundered by force. At least none that his numbing sense of touch can determine. It may have just been rattled open by the wind.
Hiel-GAME: Take action.
Ethaniel will open the door just enough to slip inside, and then move in against the wall Moving Silently in the darkness
Hiel-GAME: Ethan roll %d with -30 bonus due to wind.
Ethaniel: %d = -25)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Easily slipping inside with barely a detectable hint of sound, Ethaniel finds himself in the blackness of the shack, but still unable to see a thing. The good news is he feels a little warmer without the wind stealing away his heat.
Hiel-GAME: Take action.
Ethaniel Since I can't see anything, I will continue to slide against the wall but my hands will reach out to see if I can find a chair, a table, lamp or any other useful object in the darkness
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Assuming Ethan slides to the left away from the door, he feels the coarse wood texture of the logs 'shhhsshhing' against his clothes, and feels one of his boots dislodge some stacked pieces of split wood inside the door for a fire.
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The few pieces of wood thud into the earthen ground.
Hiel-GAME: Does Ethan feel his way around the log pile?
Ethaniel yes he does feel his way around the log pile
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Working his way around the stack of wood, the Bounty Hunter after five paces finds the right corner of the hut. As he continues to follow the wall, Ethaniel after another 7-8 paces encounters a piece of furniture. 2 upright supports....
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: ...with 3 horizonal levels, just the right width to fit a large man. With further investigation, the Man-Hunter figures out when he navigates around it, that it is a bunk bed, 3 tiered.
Hiel-GAME: Does Ethan continue to make his way around the room?
Ethaniel yes he does
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Moving on from the bunk bed, Ethaniel takes 3 steps, and finds the rough wood textured grain of tree bark becomes that of stone mortared together forming a column going up to the ceiling. He has found the crudely constructed fireplace...
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: ...and chimney.
Hiel-GAME: Any change to action?
Ethaniel nope, keep exploring the room
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Moving beyond the fireplace, the Bounty Hunter comes into contact with another bunk bed for three. Thankfully, he hasn't found anyone snoring or the dead bones of anyone... oh, wait, he finds something. Kind of round and smooth like ...
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: ... a ball with a pair holes, and another hole lower down than the first pair, and then some bumpy things. It feels strangely like a skull.
Hiel-GAME: Any change to action?
Ethaniel figure that I have to find some light or something to see what's going on in this room. There's nobody here yet there is something on this bed. He'll stand and stay still detecting noise, trying to detect any kind of movement inside.
Hiel-GAME: Ethan roll %d with +15 bonus due to wind.
Hiel-GAME: bonus = penalty
Ethaniel: %d = 41)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Other than the sounds of the wind, his breathing, his heartbeat and whisper of his clothes nothing else does he hear.
Hiel-GAME: Continue.
Ethaniel'll continue to explore the thing on the bed, and hope that it doesn't wake up or grab his arm suddenly
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Much to the relief of the Bounty Hunter, nothing grabs him. He feels his way down a clothed skeletons to the end of the bunk, and finds his way to the wall. The human completes his circuit of the room back to the door without dying.
Hiel-GAME: Skeleton singular
Hiel-GAME: Next action?
Hiel-GAME: Go ahead with your action. Then 5 minute break for refreshments.
Ethaniel'll keep going along the wall, the opposite way from whence I came to find another room.
Ethaniel: yeah I might go get food)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Moving back the way he comes, the Bounty Hunter encounters the same things he did going round the first time only in reverse, and arrives a back at the partly open door.
Ethaniel then I'll go the other way again, and keep going past the bed
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ethan completes three trips around the interior perimeter of the room, and finds the same things as before. The hunter's shack is 10 paces on a side or roughly 20'. There are no other rooms.
Ethaniel Finally realising that this place is a shack or a hut and not a house, he slaps himself on the forehead and blames the extreme weather for his numb-mindedness. The steps into the middle of the room this time, fumbling around for a chair or table
Hiel-GAME: Yeah! Ethan roll a d20 with a +8 penalty.
Ethaniel: Uh oh lol..... d20 + 8 = 11)
Hiel-GAME: Your d20 roll was a 3?
Ethaniel: Yup)
Hiel-GAME: Your DEX or perhaps intuition in this case prevents Ethan from stumbling over a crudely made bench as quick sweep of his foot found when it encountered the solid piece of furniture. Shortly after that he finds another and then the table itself ...
Hiel-GAME: ... the middle of room.
Ethaniel mutter silently at the unseen bench below me, but glad that I did not trip over and hit my head on the table ahead. Standing right beside the table I will examine it with my hands to feel for whatever objects there are on it
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Upon the table, after a bit of scrabbling around it, Ethan finds a platter of wood, a cup also of wood, an eating tine and an empty waterskin.
Ethaniel "There's gotta be a light of some sort somewhere around here...." he says quietly to himself "And a bottle of rum..." He walks back to the wall and follows it back to the door, feeling up above him for a hanging lantern of some sort
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: A fruitless search for the Bounty Hunter, all his hands comes away with is a bunch of cobwebs... and no lantern.
Hiel-GAME: Roll a new CON CHK w/+3 penalty vs CON 13.
Ethaniel: Con Chk = 12)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Despite being inside the temperature is still quite cold, but the Hunter of Men is withstanding the chill.
Ethaniel "Guess I should try and light a fire....." he follows the wall back around to where the door and the logs were, taking some of the logs, kicking the door closed before following the wall back to where the fireplace was
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Almost as skilled as blind person by now, Ethan makes it back to the fireplace without trouble.
Ethaniel fumbles around the ground for any flint and tinder, and any light bits of wood
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Tinder abounds about the fireplace, but sadly no flint abounds to be found.
Ethaniel cursing quietly to himself, he sighs and stands up, following the wall to where the skeleton was, searching the clothes for anything useful before feeling around and below the bed for anything
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: A search of the skeleton does indeed yield up a pouch with items like flint and steel for starting a fire.
Ethaniel With the pouch in hand, I will go back to the hearth and kneel down in front and place the flint and steel down beside me. I then take a wad of the tinder I found earlier and place in the hearth and then place some charred cloth from pouch over it. ...
Ethaniel take some flint and steel, and strike both together above the tinder and cloth
Hiel-GAME: Roll 3 d20s checks.
Ethaniel: d20 rolls = 7, 1, 17)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: After almost 20 minutes of clicking away with the flint on steel, Ethan finally gets flame to catch hold in the tinder and fire going in the hearth.
Hiel-GAME: Roll 2 more CON CHKs w/+3 penalty vs CON 13.
Ethaniel: Con chk d20 = 9, 16)
Hiel-GAME: Those last 10 minutes of Ethan's life had to be the coldest he could remember. -1 hp. Reduce CON 13 to CON 12.
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: At last firelight reveals the full extent of the hunter's shack to the human, and never did the warmth of fire feel so good to the poor man.
Ethaniel "Feels good..." he said with a blissful sigh, taking in the new warmth of the fire. As the warmth crept in and brought him back down to earth, he felt slightly uneasy as the light revealed all to be seen in the cabin. He looked over at the skeletal ...
Ethaniel frame on the bed, before examining the rest of the room.
Hiel-GAME: Begin Combat. Roll for Surprise, d10, -1 penalty.
Ethaniel: d10 = 7)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Driven from their place of hibernation by the fire and smoke, three bugs, just over a foot in diameter drop out of the flue, and scramble up the outside of the chimney. To the Bounty Hunter they looked like jumbo sized ticks.
Hiel-GAME: Roll for Initiative, d10, +2 penalty. Ethan is kind of sluggish from the cold..
Ethaniel: Init d10 = 6)
Hiel-GAME: Initiative = Bugs then Ethan.
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The six legger buggers zero in on the human, and leap from the chimney at him. One misses him completely, flying past his right leg. Another one bounces off his armor, striking him in the groin . But another tick latches on to him...
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: ... at the abdomen, and pierces past his armor into his flesh.
Hiel-GAME: Take 3 DMG. 26/32 hps? Is that what you have?
Hiel-GAME: Take action.
Hiel-GAME: Right Ethan's HPs 27/32.
Ethaniel "Argh! What the...!!!" He reflexively jerks his hand grabbing the bug that latches onto his abdomen, throwing it into the fire before trying to stomp on the others on the floor
Hiel-GAME: Roll d20 to hit, and d20 STR CHK to remove.
Ethaniel: d20 to hit = 17, d20 STR check = 15)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ethan grabs hold of the damnable pest, and unsuccessfully tries to pull it off him.
Hiel-GAME: End Round 1. Begin Round 2. Roll d10 for initiative, no penalty.
Ethaniel: init d10 = 5)
Hiel-GAME: Initiative = Ethan followed by bugs. Take action.
Ethaniel 'll attempt to grab the bug on my stomach, and throw it into the fire again
Hiel-GAME: d20 STR CHK.
Ethaniel: d20 str = 6)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ethan rips the tick from his belly, and doing so did not feel any better coming out than when it went in.
Hiel-GAME: 2 dmg (25/32), Roll d20 hit for fire place.
Ethaniel: d20 = 918)
Ethaniel: oops I mean 18*)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ethan slings the bug into the fireplace where it cracks against the back wall then plops into the heart of the flames. The legs of the tick catch fire as they wave for purchase.
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ticks on the floor try to hop on Ethan. Again one misses its mark, flying past his abdomen. And again, the other one latches on Ethan's left arm, sinking its spikey probisis into his flesh.
Hiel-GAME: 1 dmg (24/32)
Hiel-GAME: End Round 2. Begin Round 3. Roll initiative d10.
Ethaniel: d10 init = 5)
Hiel-GAME: Initiative = Bugs then Ethan.
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: On his left arm, Ethan feels the nasty blood sucker doing what it does best... sucking. Thankfully, their isn't much pain because of the aneshetic property of its saliva just a pulling sensation. The tick on the ground hops once more...
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: ...at Ethan, but this time pegs the poor Bounty Hunter right in the family jewels, going for the soft spot. (ouch)
Hiel-GAME: 3 dmg from blood loss (21/32), 2 dmg from probisis (19/32).
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The tick in the fire place pops when the heat of its boiling fluids becomes too great for its shell to contain.
Ethaniel will attempt to plant the SOB on my arm against the wall slamming it between my arm and the wall (d20 attack = 20 (Heh heh))
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ethan smashes the tick on his left arm against the log wall of the cabin, and hears the satisfying crunch of the bugs carapace, sharply cracking and spurting reddish guts and bloody juices. It does the quivering, twitching dance of ....
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: ... death waving its six legs about in uncoordinated fashion. And while it remains stuck fast to his, the tick doesn't suck his succulent blood anymore.
Hiel-GAME: End Round 3. Begin Round 4. Roll initiative d10.
Ethaniel: init d10 = 1)
Hiel-GAME: Initiative = Ethan followed by bugs. Take action.
Ethaniel looking down at his crown jewels that throb with pain with the bug snugly stuck there, he will attempt to rip the bug off his man-parts (to much of his chagrin) and throw it into the fire with it's BBQ'd friend
Hiel-GAME: (lol) Roll d20 to hit, and d20 STR CHK to remove.
Ethaniel: d20 hit = 2, d20 STR = 6)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The slippery shelled carapace of the tick prevents the human from getting a good grip on it, and remains attached in a most unpleasant place. Again Ethan feels the unpleasant draw of his blood leaving his body through the man-part place.
Hiel-GAME: 3 dmg (16/32)
Hiel-GAME: End Round 4. Begin Round 5. Roll initiative d10.
Ethaniel: d10 init = 5)
Hiel-GAME: Initiative = Ethan followed by bugs. Take action.
Ethaniel "GET THE HELL OFF!!!!!" He grits his teeth whilst the bug continues boring it's mandibles in Ethan's own Man-dibles... will attempt to peel the creature off his wang once again
Ethaniel and then throw it into the fire
Hiel-GAME: Roll d20 to hit, and d20 STR CHK to remove.
Ethaniel: d20 hit = 10 d20 STR = 17
Ethaniel: dang the bug must be stuck on like superglue if my STR can't get him off :/)
Ethaniel: No concubines for a month ;_;)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: While Ethan does get a good grip on the danged bug, the pain it causes him when he attempts to remove it proves greater than his strength or resolve, and remains stuck in place, still sucking away at his blood.
Hiel-GAME: 2 dmg (14/32).
Hiel-GAME: End Round 5. Begin Round 4. Roll initiative d10.
Ethaniel: d10 init = 7)
Hiel-GAME: Initiative = Ethan then bug.
Hiel-GAME: Correction End Round 5. Begin Round 6. Roll initiative d10.
Hiel-GAME: Take action.
Ethaniel will attempt to grab and throw the bug again d20 hit = 6 d20 STR = 13
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: It would amaze the Bounty Hunter if every single creature in the forest and even his lost comrades didn't hear his scream of pain as he experiences perhaps the most excrutiating agony of his life.
Hiel-GAME: 3 dmg (11/32).
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The bug thuds against the wall, and plops to the floor still alive. The little bastard flips back onto its front, and starts scuttling toward Ethan again for some more liquid enjoyment.
Hiel-GAME: End Round 6. Begin Round 7. Roll initiative d10.
Ethaniel: init = 6)
Hiel-GAME: Initiative = Bug the Ethan.
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The last of the ticks, only marginally filled with the Bounty Hunter's blood, hops once more at him hoping to get some more of that warm juice in his body. Of course, its aim is a little off, and misses completely, flying past his chest.
Ethaniel feeling dazed and in great agony, I will attempt to squish the damned bug with my foot
Hiel-GAME: Roll d20 to hit.
Ethaniel: d20 hit = 9)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ethan attempts to squash the bug flat by stomping on it. But the damnable thing proves to be quicker than his foot, and skitters out of the way.
Hiel-GAME: End Round 7. Begin Round 8. Roll initiative d10.
Ethaniel: init d10 = 4)
Hiel-GAME: Initiative = Ethan then bug.
Hiel-GAME: Take action.
Ethaniel will attempt to squish the bug with foot again d20 hit = 10
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ethan manages to partially stomp down on the pest, but not quite kill. He does however prevent it from hopping up and attacking him.
Hiel-GAME: End Round 8. Begin Round 9. Take action.
Ethaniel will now attempt to finish off the really annoying bug, stomping on it hard. Init d20 = 9
Ethaniel: Yep)
Hiel-GAME: Roll d20 to hit.
Ethaniel: oops that was meant to be to hit roll not init)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: With one foot pinning it down, Ethan stomps upon it with his other foot, but like the hardy bug it is takes his punishment and keeps on kickin.
Hiel-GAME: Roll a DEX CHK to keep it pinned. +1 penalty.
Ethaniel: DEX Chk d20 = 18)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Just barely does the Bounty Hunter keep the squirming insect from getting, and only after 5 more stomps does, he finally stomp the guts out of the damn bug.
Hiel-GAME: Roll a 5 hit rolls and 2 more DEX CHKs to succeed.
Ethaniel: To hit rolls d20 = 18, 18, 2, 6, 9 DEX CHKS = 13, 7)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The ticks are no more. Except for the one still stuck in his forearm.
Hiel-GAME: End Combat.
Ethaniel: YAY finally killed em... they got me down to 11hp dang bugs >.<)
Hiel-GAME: And perhaps lower when you try to remove the one from your forearm.
Ethaniel with a grimace he attempts to remove the bug on his arm off of him
Hiel-GAME: 1 dmg (10/32).
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The Bounty Hunter finally completes his pest removal of the hunter's shack, and probably knows now what killed the fellow in the bunk.
Ethaniel winces in pain before muttering obscene curse-words, throwing the dead bug into the fire.

(Transcribed the chatroom game)
Time: Late night, D+2 after Night of Wine Sickness and Temple Destruction (D=day);
Location: Hunters' Lodge in the Wildlands on the Verge of the Ruins;

Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Needless to say, Ethan is much warmer now having just killed the 3 ticks, and got his blood flowing really strong.
Hiel-GAME: Continue with next actions.
Ethaniel limping around like a semi-castrated humanoid, he throws a small log into the fire. "Damn stupid mission.... I only just started and already I get maimed by some annoying pests." He takes off the backpack and places it on the table, sifting through it
Ethaniel to find the pink vial that Lady Sia gave him earlier
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The potion bottle is in the field pack right where he put it.
Ethaniel "Down the hatch it goes...." disappointed that he would have to use this one so early in the mission. Maybe he could find another somewhere soon but he wanted to be rightly fit for when it was time to leave this place. He uncorks the vial and quaffs
Ethaniel down the potion
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The fluid goes down slick as mineral oil, and leaves behind a nice strawberry flavor in his mouth. The effects are felt almost immediately as warmth flows through his body taking the sting of his wounds away as they heal up.
Hiel-GAME: 25 healed (32/32). Roll %d.
Ethaniel: %d = 33)
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Ethan is feeling much better, his constitution is back to normal, and no longer feels the sting of cold biting at his fingers. Although his clothes could use some drying out, they are sodden from the snow.
Ethaniel strips off his outer garments and begins unstrapping his Brigadine armor, before shaking off the snow off the cloth and leather items. He looks around near him to see if there are any reachable rafters where he could tie some rope too
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The roof of the lodge is lined with parallel running logs, nothing rafter like. There are the bunks though.
Ethaniel grabbed onto the bench, attempting to drag it closer to the fire approx 2m away from it
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The benchs aren't that heavy, so are easily moved into place.
Ethaniel finishes with undonning his clothes, including his undergarments, hanging them all neatly along the bench to dry by the fire
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: All cosy and warm in the hunter's lodge much more comfortable than his lost comrades, but still comfort dearly bought at the expense of blood and pain.
Ethaniel "All I need is a blanket or a gown to cover... and some whiskey...." he will examine the cavern in his birthday suit, searching the place for anything that might be useful now that he can see what he is doing
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: Outside the blizzard continues unabated blowing snow and piling it deep all around.
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: 4 walls, two bunks, three benches, 1 skeleton with gear is pretty much all that's in the shack.
Ethaniel sighing after finding nothing... not even basic stuff.... he goes over to the skeleton where he found the flint and steel and rummages through the dead man's belongings, figuring that the former hut owner won't be needing anything... even strips him
Ethaniel of his clothes to see if they will fit him
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The skeleton's clothes and leathers even his blanket fall apart in Ethan's hands, long since lost any value. The pouches contain cord, 19 silver, 20 coppers and 10 gold, whetstone. Knife and scabbard. A spear remains on the floor ...
Ethaniel "Well unless you're attempting to take the riches with you to the afterlife..." and takes all the silver, copper and gold and stows it on the table. He takes the knife and scabbard and puts that on the table as well. "A spear..." and picks that up too
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: ... with holster of 3 javelins. Obviously what the man must have used for hunting. In his pack are some candles, rope, a healers bag with some prepared bandages, and some extra clothes. Thanks to the ticks, no rats or mice got into ...
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: ... the pack to ruin anything. There is also an extra blanket, and a scroll case with slip of paper in it.
Ethaniel will try on the extra clothes and wear the ones that fit. The ones that don't fit I will lay out on one of the spare benches by the table. He will keep the blanket in the backpack. The candles he will put on the table, and the rope he will lay that
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The spear and javelins are just simple affairs, something you could find in any backwater self proclaim master weaponsmith shop.
Ethaniel on the ground. "So much things... not enough room...." He looked back at the spear and javelins. "Ooh I could use those to make a man-trap with..." but then set the thought aside when he spotted the scroll case. He opened it and examined the piece of
Ethaniel paper
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The slip of paper is addressed to the now deceased Sammy Dutton in scribbled hand writing, and lists wild pig, pheasant, deer, elk, rabbit, and other game animals with a value in coin beside each. It's signed with the letter J.
Ethaniel "Hm.." and shrugged, slipping the paper back into the scroll case, laying it on the table. He looked through his own backpack and took out the clothes, checking them for dampness from the snow outside
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The mans shirt and trousers are a little large on Ethan, but his socks are too little. The cloths will take some time to dry perhaps another hour or so, and its already getting on toward the middle of the night. Or so it feels to him.
Ethaniel will take the clothes from his backpack that need drying and lay them along the bench with his other clothes if there is room. He will keep wearing the shirt and trousers but will discard the socks on the floor. He will then unsheath the dagger ...
Ethaniel and grab one of the javelins, before taking a seat and placing the javelin horizontally across his lap leaving over 1/3 of the tip hanging over the edge. With the dagger he will attempt to cut off the tip just under 1/3rd of the way to cut the spear<C< FON>
Ethaniel tip off
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: The clothes were protected from becoming as sodden as the clothes he wore, and were only slightly damp.
Hiel-HUNTERS’ LODGE: It takes some work, but under continued whittling the javelin tips are severed from the rest of the shaft.
Ethaniel satisfied that the tips had been severed off their shafts, he reached over to where the small socks were used both to cover the three heads before placing the sock-spear package on the table. He grabbed the Bandages and put them away in his backpack
Ethaniel where there was room to spare.
Ethaniel threw the empty plate and mug into the fire before gathering the spare rope and stowing it where he had his own rope, attached to the side of his backpack. "It's getting bulky..." he muttered, looking over at the rest of the equipment on the table.
Ethaniel put the whetstone into his pack as well, and put the dagger back in it's sheathe. He looked over to the door and wondered if he should worry about creating some kind of trap or defense but then thought it wouldn't matter with the conditions outside
Ethaniel walked over to where his weapons were (2x kusari-gama, 1x Kawanaga and a folding short bow) and checked the metallic bits for rust and the wooden parts for weakness.
Hiel-HUNTERS' LODGE: One of the Kusari-gamas is showing a little rust from the elements, but other than that everything else is fine.
Hiel-HUNTERS' LODGE: Their was little more the Bounty Hunter could do inside the shack. Anything that could find him through the storm, would either be half dead, or Gods forbid all dead and still walking, or something that he'd be no match for in any case.
Ethaniel Not worrying about the rust on the kusari-gama, I take a seat facing the door and grab the blanket, putting it over me before closing my eyes to drift off to sleep

Tessa gave Kaze a look of pure venom, and pouted. The scowl on her otherwise beautiful face made her less than attractive as she stomped around inside the dome and picked up sticks of various sizes. She dropped them in small piles, and wiped at her frozen face with a sleeve caked in ice and still wet. "Fine." she huffed at both the elf and Bryce. "But as soon as this storm lets up, I'm going back to Elmshade and telling that Siannodell Lady to shove her mission up her...Ahhh ahhhh ATCHOO!" the buxom blonde sneezed and then sniffled loudly. "What kind of stupid, cursed forest actually has winter storms in the middle of Spring ANYway?"

Bryce grit his teeth, packing snow and trying to hold his temper in check. "Obviously, the, kind bloody CURSED kind, oh brilliant one." He muttered darkly. In good weather, he could have taken listening ot her whining. In this mess, he was about THIS close to yelling his throat raw at her.

Kaze listens to the two of them start at each other and decideds to just stay quiet until the work is done, or until these two start to go at each others throats which he doupted would happen. He shivered in the cold and looked at the sheer size of this "igloo" of types. (from his calculations is there enough air in here to last for the night atleast?) After figuring this all out he finishes out his area where they would be starting there camp fire. He walks over to his horse and pats his back comfortingly and adjusts the horses blanket under the saddle so its's more comfortable and keeps in more heat. He speaks in elven to the steed and rubs his nose getting back to work.

Ethan falls asleep comfortably, oblivious to the hardfalls that his party members are going through right now.

Sir Kaze Von Arrow Deatharcher II Esquire

Kaze gets the small wet pieces of wood with one large one near the one side so there would be something to to catc on eventually. See the area almost cleared out for them he pulls his long sword with the rubied hilt from his back. Aiming the ruby on the sword at the pile of wood. Kaze makes a gesture with his free hand and the center of the ruby starts to glow. Soon a blazing red beam strikes the pile of wood (2d6 (6+2= 8 fire damage total))
