Amagato smiled with inner warmth as Ari spoke to him. He listened carefully as thier bond accellerated the bulk of her thoughts.

He quickly knew all she had said and immediately formed some short hypothesis on the subjects.

Yes, the Weremachts true form is unknown even to me. I had a short lived sample once but it tried to kill me. Quite the mystery. As far as I can tell Its form is a product of the most perverse experiments or a sum of many ancients curses. I cannot be certain. In fact I am not aware of any who have gazed upon It's presence and been able to recall much of anything later.
Some have even been struck down by insanity and death after such a meeting. I am duly impressed you have all met with It and still hold your mental faculty. Very good. I can only assume you all have vast protections. This pleases me.

I believe Its internal makeup is some form of strange material and your report  reinforces that assumption. No spell or weapon I know of affects It as an attacker would expect. This mystery I am still working on. With enough research I hope to develop ways to strike solely at It based on its unique composition. I could use a skilled alchemist to aid me tho. I lack the tools and diverse knowledge of some of the material. Perhaps we could develop some useful items together if there is time enough. Wouldn't that be a surprise!?

Pondering her tale he murmurs, The Slaves. Of course. I find the practice deplorable. But I have to try to undersstand this beings mindset is steeped in the way of strange hardened lands. I do not begin to defend It but I believe Its practices are very common where It hails from. And even in some instances I daresay necessary. It make sme sick to my soul. Odd tales I have heard from lost planar travelers. I would be happy to share them with you if you can handle tales of pure Woe.

His face draws into an unhapy frown for a moment. But to abuse innocent wildlife for pure sport is truly barbaric and only sanctioned on a few lost worlds. Unfortunately I have reports from those same wanderers that have told me of vast nations that thrive on such atrocitys fueled on the backs of slaves and beasts. I believe there is a possibility that the Weremacht commands an entire such city on a hidden dark world. I find the entire affair medeviel and a throwback to darker times. Quite unacceptable. I cannot blame you for not allowing it. No developed society would.

But you say It blatantly told you of its purpose to recover an item? Well that clears things up to some degree. Thank you. We shall try to discover what we can about that subject.
Now we're on to something of importance! I am so fortunate that you have come to me in my last days.

Paraded Its power you say. Hmm, that's odd. How is that? From what I have gleaned from others and my few encounters the Wermacht is not a creature of pomp or vainity. Unless It has developed a penchant for becoming arrogant. I know It does all things on a grand scale. I cannot be sure why but I believe it is simply Its nature.
The Weremacht I suspect has roots in dwarven societies. Which may explain Its coarse manners and seemingly alien concepts. The mountain breeds have different ideas of what is important and are not known for thier patience.
in most cases It simply destroys that which does not benefit it. I suspect it completely annihalates those that oppose It in the public eye. Many stories have been told of Its intolerable attitude and great battle prowness. If It has become concerned with how other percieve it on this new level we can possibly use that to our advantage, but if it is simply a misunderstanding of a blatant speaking creature used to possessing large amounts of power we may hamper ourselves. I so wish I had an account of this conversation. You and your allys are in my heart for in you all I may have found a way to defeat this things designs and aid a deserving community from unwanted influence in the process.

After hearing of the destroyed holy item and subsequent ressurection of it, I am not surprised that It can create such an item. Why It has done this I can I can only guess. I wonder if It holds you in as much contempt. These offerings of aid vex me in relation to your tale of threats. What a vile creature we deal with.

In any case you should know that at one time the Weremacht was a magnificent artisian of the highest skill. Many of Its work still survive to this day. The bulk of Its work were items of war. This is where Its dwarven influence is most apparent. Weapons, armor and the like. All of great strength and impeccable fortitude. They would have a vast number abilities and as the creator grew in age the materials became even more exotic. Some are to this day a true marvel.
But that was so long ago not even many of the elves have records of it. I have gained this information from the items themselves.
In the end It became known as what It is remembered as to this day. An un-artificer.
The Weremacht spent many eons seeking out and destroying the artiacts and relics of opposing Gods. With a legendary Polearm of crushing destruction and unlimited access to the planes it became an un-doer of treasure. Somewhere along this path It learned to drain the power from these vassals of the Gods and in turn Its body became warped into the primodial soup it is toay.

I do not intend to prattle on but if something was to happen to me I would want Its enemies to know of Its background. I have studied It for so long I would hate for that to go to waste with me to my grave.

He heard her words to the hated dead-skin elf. So It did in fact not have any real interest in the village. Whatever exchange took place Amagato had no doubts that the Weremachts poor social skills inflamed the villages council in any case.

Maybe if we cannot destroy this being perhaps we can also trap it away from all races. That is an excellent notion! If this symbol upon the fround is a way to communicate with it It why do we not attempt to use it as a tool for our own gain? Do you think we can contact "Her" with it yet still? Or should we perhaps wait for the voices of reason from your colleagues?
i should warn you tho, It has little tolerance for me.

Gillette slowly turned his angular face to the woman before him. As he looked from under his brow a single colorless lock blew lazily across his vision.

He taunted them, Awww, milady. your grasp of the situation is again skewed and  misguided.

A slight sneer pursed the thin lips as he spoke his rough elven tounge in a flat cold tone, the words having odd slang and stress, I was dismissed at the last meeting. but I have since learned the bulk of the content of that slight conference. I have many resources at my disposal

My Mistress spoke to you of her intent. His sharp features curved into a smug mocking grin. You and your brethern heard but you did not listen my pet. I think Her awesome way of conducting her busines detracted your country mentality from the sum of her speech

You must stop looking at the world thru such a small looking glass. not everyone operates on such a small scale as yourself. An army? Pashaw. That is only the Horde. Her emminence has simply sent a small specialized detachment to ensure that her wishes are carried out. There are more actors in this play than just your small  insignificant part.

Our army could very possibly not even fit on this tiny continent

His long fingers brush the rouge hair behind his pointed ear showing the small serrations at its tip.

Still carrying his inflated proud position he did not shift his seating. His back remained straight and rigid. The destruction of your temple was the doing of a select few of your population. Search your heart litlle duckling. Our soldiers were interfered with. If thier posessions had not been stolen no malice would have been unleashed upon those hallowed grounds. And hiding thier belongings in the belly of the building insured its involvment. I suggest you reprimand your own paritioners if you have not done so already.

Such indiscretion surely endangered all of those involved. I was glad to collect on Ironbar and Bonecrushers souls before any real damage could be done to your ppl.

Waving a hand in a no-matter manner he adds,  you lost nothing. What maybe one lone soldier? And a tree man? In fact the Mistress offered to have her dwarfs rebuild your temple better than it was in th first place. It had suffered not only a desecration but its foundation was cracked. Think back if you will. You know I speak the truth. I can arrange for a replacment soldier or two to be sent over to replenish your ranks. you have so few, I can understand how it might be important.

And then his body tensed as his face contorted into a mask of pained restraint, goading her he added, I have no qualms with truce or a peacful co-existance but I warn you to show caution with your accusations witch. To slight the integrity of my master is to endanger your health. That is the type of tone that invokes her wrath as you tapped into in your earlier gathering.

The way I read it the spoken contract insured the soveriegnity of the village not the immunity of its individual residents.

Amagato grinned at Gillette and winked at Ari to show her she was in no immediate danger.

Seeing this the Ash-elf swung his piercing gaze to the drake behind Arienne. I will have you know I have quite a collection of rare breeds. Everytime I encounter you, you have an interesting mount. you have a beautiful creature in your care. Very nice. His narrow gaze flows over its shape as he surmises its worth.

Gathering his composure once again he prods her farther upon hearing of her notion to covet the object of thier desire, Careful of what you wish for My Lovely. The prize may burn you to tatters in its power. in fact...I suggest you hide it.
There is no-way She shall find it.

His laughter is hollow and empty.

Amagato took all of this into considration. He placed a comforting hand on Arienne's knee before continuing.
